I like the golf course, clubhouse was beautifully redone with wonderful food, the practice facilities for golf are first rate. needed. This is a wonderful family facility that offers so much. If looking to join a country club, consider calling Deerwood Country Club and having a look. I recently joined because there’s so much more than golf.

We love the chance encounters with friends and the delightful surprises that come with them. The newly renovated Sam's Place is stunning, and 1960 continues to be a fantastic dining option. Plus, the panoramic views of the golf course from anywhere in the club are simply breathtaking.
The renovated pool has been great to experience for adults and families.
We had a private event at the club house. It was an elegant affair and the atmosphere of the clubhouse reflected it perfectly. The food and service was very good!
We reserved the Lakeview rooms for a recent corporate event and couldn't be happier with Deerwood Country Club, they made everything so easy, the location is beautiful and layout of the rooms was perfect for our event. Kathy and Gary went above and beyond. Thank you!
Absolutely stunning golf course. Punishing at times, but everything you would want as a private club. Wife and I were considering joining, but the ongoing multi-year renovations gave us pause. Still, if you have a chance to play as a guest, say yes.
Excellent course and club. Was fortunate to play as a guest with a member this past month, and everything was top notch, from the course to the clubhouse to the employees. If you live in JAX and are considering a club to join, you couldn't go wrong with this one.

I had my wedding reception here last year and while it turned out to be a beautiful day, I was not overall satisfied with Deerwood. I will start by saying the venue itself looks very nice and the view out of the ballroom windows is perfect for a wedding. The pastry chef, Joanne, was very easy to work with and the cake was absolutely delicious, and the food was also very good. The events coordinator Denise, however, was not easy to work with during the planning process. She was not good at communicating, gave us false information on multiple occasions, she was very disorganized and would not always answer my questions. I have since heard from others that they too had a bad experience working with her. We were also disappointed to find that the top layer of our cake had been tossed into a box, unwrapped, and had been smashed against the box and when I said something, I was met with a rude response. I would not recommend having a wedding at this location, at least not while Denise is the events coordinator. I have given a 2 star rating due to Joanne, the quality of the cake, and the view. Also, the wait staff day-of was competent. Florence, in particular, was very helpful and attended to our every need.

My mother in law hosted my Bridal Shower here and it was sooooo adorable and super classy. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and I loved the room with a great view of the green and lake.
The non-profit organization that I work for recently held its first annual benefit golf tournament at Deerwood Country Club. The clubhouse and pro-shop facilities, including the Lakeview banquet room, are incredibly spacious, elegant and functional. The golf course itself is well-manicured and pristine. Even with that in mind, Deerwood’s best asset is Tim Cooper (Head Pro) and the golf club staff.
Planning a successful golf tournament can be a complicated, technical endeavor, especially if you’ve never done it before. Tim, Denise, and everyone we encountered at Deerwood went out of their way to accommodate us in every regard. Holding our hand through the entire process, Tim and his staff were extremely professional, ensuring that our first tournament ran smoothly and without blunder.
I attend monthly meetings at the lovely club house. The food and service are excellent. You can't beat the view of the golf course. It's just beautiful.
Beautiful venue for the company Christmas party however guard at the gate was very creepy when taking my information for visiting. Started taking about Hitler and kept adjusting himself right in front of my car and wouldn't lift the gate until I got forceful about being late. Was not a pleasant experience
Good local country club that is centrally located in Jacksonville. I have never played golf here, but I've attended numerous events at the clubhouse and it accommodates 50 to 200+ people well. Love the back patio overlooking the golf course.
