Last couple of years I've chosen to go to CMC over the other recycling plants and I've never been disappointed. I have the highest price for aluminum and their staff is extremely friendly and very supportive. Everything is extremely simple to get through and I never wait long at all. I don't think there's a better place to go anywhere in Jacksonville

Call every time before you load up and go during regular business hours they could be closed for inventory.

This was the worst experience ever. The attendant asked me to throw my heavy scrap in the hopper to weigh. And then made me climb in and get it all out again by hand. After that they threw my scrap back in the hopper anyway and made up some fictional reason to manually take 10 lbs off my scrap weight just to steal it from my wife Wendy. They are dishonest and rude. There was no reason to cut 10 lbs off her scrap price. Totally outrageous graft. Never ever going back to that clown show. Happened an hour ago.

I love cmc its the only scrapyard I go to the people who work there and I have established a great relationship since I started going there and I usually go there pretty regularly throughout the week only bad thing is its closed on weekends other then that I have not one single thing I can even think of to complain about ... its a great place of business its got a fantastic atmosphere every single visit and the people who dedicate their time working there are all such wonderful friendly and helpful people i would not go anywhere eles even if I was paid alot of money too I love it there to much

I've been using this place since 2006 and live in Middleburg. It's always been the best choice, highest paying, and great people!!!They've gone through changes just like we do but when it matters most they've been consistent. When things change be open to the information they give to make adjustments and they'll always be happy to see you, I love visiting with them when I go and I look forward to the trip. My kids have worked with me many times and love them too, with my oldest being 21 and my youngest being 6. My youngest loves the ladies in the office and is looking forward to our next trip which will be very soon.😁🥰

Best of the bunch, Jax has several recycle facilities. However this is the best by far. Most organized, best prices. Infact the places that rip you off like Union Metals and Mohawks actualy will short change us for stuff then take that same stuff to CMC themselves!

Once you figure out how to do it, it's pretty easy. Depending on your load, mine was easy. And I got a couple of dollars for it.

I've literally taken a thousands of loads to CMC over the past 15 years and I am continually impressed with this company! They service any size customer and run a smooth operation. The staff are all very professional and courteous as well. The amount of metal they recycle is astonishing and is a real asset to our community both environmentally and economically. My only gripe is that they don't buy car batteries. THANK YOU CMC FOR HELPING ME EARN A LIVING FOR ALMOST 16 YEARS!!

OTR van trailers Please pull onto the scale and check in. Then pull forward and do a u-turn the loading dock is facing the street on the entrance side of the building. You will then be live loaded and then you will scale out and get your paperwork please be very careful pulling on and off of North Lane avenue it's a very busy Street

Its the only recycling center that lists there prices on their website, at least that i have found. This is my favorite yard in the city because not only do they list their prices but the employees are always up front anout pricing and happy answer any questions you have. The shred yard is super clean and the staff is always friendly. Not sure of her name but the lady who pays you at the end is so sweet and fun to interact with. I look foward to our little chats every time i go. I super excited to go tomorrow because it has been a minute due to misplacing my license and they do not accept passports. No worries though my license came yesterday and it will be great to scrap and not worry about my tires. Highly recommend this place!! Side note, my first time i went to the commercial side by accident. And the staff over there were super amazing and took me anyways. I appreciate there patience, escpecially JR., i believe, who sorted through all my metals with me, really going rhe extra mile for customer service!!

Staff is polite and professional. Organized location for drop off of recycling material. Plus side - they have a working bathroom with soap. You will need it!!! As it is in need of a good cleaning.

I've been going at this place for about 3 years but I never meet a nice person like Kelvin Hunt. He always helps me to assort my aluminum and his very nice with people. I hope everyone can be as nicest as Kelvin is. He knows how to do his job! Thank You !

They got mad at me for moving the cone and placing it back since we came arriving at 1:45 exactly since online saying 2 pm is when they closed on new years Eve and wouldn't see us to do just the simple already broke down clean copper and clean alluminum and us be on the way. Need to check times online more for their rep on customers wasting time and gas. But also, prices are really good. CALVIN is amazing up front. This is Sarah, Charles fiance and we do this together. The shredder area is cleaner and better than other places. And love the fast pace usually when it's not packed. But today sucked with not having better communication and info online with the hours of operation.

Overly impressed with the staffs' patience, knowledge, organization and genuine customer service. And only because of the service CMC provided, I've obtained the confidence to attempt to apply this method of financial gain to my employment portfolio, AKA, resume. Personally speaking from my two visits, shame on me for not remembering his name while he wears a name tag, the Gentleman greeting and weighing material is underappreciated and underpaid. I say that with the upmost confidence and respect because he was sweating while smiling and controlling a disrespectful crowd of customers while being certain he was being SAFE and ACCURATE.

Great customer service. I was at the wrong location for recycling copper pipes but the gentlemen agreed to assist anyways instead of turning me away. They also took time out to explain the difference between No. 1 copper and No. 2 copper (No. 1 copper has better price). This was my first visit and will use again. Gave 5 stars for the customer service and price on website is what I was paid.

Normally my favorite recycling site and the ONLY one I feel comfortable visiting solo. The employees are very patient and helpful. However, I guess their Google hours aren’t dependable as I just loaded up my truck to take it on my day off, Google says they are open til Noon, and they are closed at 9:38 AM. The number listed doesn’t have any helpful information or even identify the company. So now I have a huge load of scrap in my truck until the next opportunity I have or I’ll try another place today. Very disappointed.

We hauled a flatbed load into this site and the operator punched a hole into our brand new trailer on the aluminum section. The office told us they would contact insurance that day and get back to us immediately and take care of the damages, but no one will return our phone calls now. To date, it’s been a week and I’m planning to contact my lawyer and gave him handle it.

Best prices in Jacksonville. Have been going here for a while and have always been treated well in a very professional manner, especially by Kelvin & Dennis on the small scale and Mr. Tyson & Adrian in the steel yard. Thank you guys for all your hard work. We look forward to continuing doing business with you. :-)

They take forever to get you loaded. Pay attention to the entrances. Don't go in the wrong one like I did, wasting 45minutes of my day in line. Better signage would be great.

I absolutely LOVE this scrap yard. They ALWAYS give the best prices and the staff is absolutely amazing. If you have any questions they are always happy to answer them, in detail. Even if it's a bit busy, the staff has no problems explaining things. This is one of the only scrap yards I will even go to.

I go about once a month I have no problems except for screws in my tire twice now Other than that not bad service but they all know me now. Times vary on how busy they are I've been there for over an hour before but usually only 20 min or so
