Nasty owner who is condescending and untrustworthy. Tried to charge 3 times the price of a battery. Another time he was extremely nasty when he hooked up to the computer in the car and gave a price double of someone else for the work that had to be done. Bad just bad.

By far worst shop in the city, if not state. Very shade tree mechanic like. Lack of knowledge in the shop as well as poor communication skills within the management/service writer section. Save the headache don’t go here.

Absolutely terrible service, they NEVER answer the phone. the manager or owner who ever he is is very defensive and quick to literally insult you when we respectfully confronted about the damage that was done to a set of wheels.
Jun 13, 2025 -
Wouldn't suggest bringing if you have nice wheels. Just asked them to swap rubber and they destroyed the wheels and when I said something was told there wasn't any way to change tires without damaging the wheel.

Took care of my truck problem hassle free. Will return with all my truck and car needs. Jeff's easy to work with and really knowledgeable. Give them a try.

Do not go here they put my brakes on wrong!!! (said by 2 other another professional shops in area) Paid 500$ and they were put on backwards and I left with two lights on dash that weren’t they before! After I went back in and respectfully let them know my brakes were wrong they lied there’s no way and it had to be a wheel bearing which would’ve costed another 400$ to fix. very disappointed supposed to be a honest, good business. 👎 I am out 700 extra dollars now because I had to get my brakes redone elsewhere, zips would not fix the mistake they made.

I had an emergency and Jeff got my car in to be evaluated quickly! Fixed it quickly too. Affordable and took so much worry off my shoulders!

My family has been coming to zips since as long as I can remember. I've been through probably about 7 vehicles since I got my license and and they've all been here. I trust this place, I've heard more than once "we could fix it, but I wouldn't - it's not worth doing. If it was my car I wouldn't put the money into that, it's not a safety issue." They're not the cheapest, but you're not coming back for a second repair, it's done right the first time.

Took my grandma here to drop her car off because she had them work on it and had to bring car back so they can work on it again same thing was wrong with it 🙃 so I mean they do have a 90 day thing where if they fixed it and in that 90 day if it does it again you can bring your car back so I guess you just have to deal with it lol and try again but good ppl

The people at Zips did a great job diagnosing the problem with my vehicle. They saved me money. I was very happy.

My friend recommended zips. My personal story was I had several things worked on. My vents wouldn't blow air. I was told it was a big pricey job. So while I had other things worked on at zips I asked to give me an estimate on fixing my vents, expecting bad news. He said a broke hose, $54. He could have said a few hundred, but didn't. That's why I trust zips.

Great job getting my old Chevy C/K back on the road purring again. I have lots of future plans for this truck and am confident and comfortable continuing to bring her back.

My moms exhaust was hanging down and the pipes would drag when she hit a bump. she had been driving it like that for a few months it was so loud! She took it to zips around 10a.m Friday, they put new pipes on it from the engine back and she was able to pick it up by 3 the same day! It runs and sounds like a new car and the price was very reasonable especially for doing it on short notice! Great service friendly and knowledgeable mechanics.

I must say this place is amazing. I bought my 2012 avalanche 2 weeks ago from a gm dealer. The service records showed oil change and new filter 10 miles before I bought it. After 2 weeks of driving I got a check engine light. When the gm garage at fierher turned my business away I talked to Jeff and he said he would get me taken care of. Most common solution was to replace the sensor. Unfortunately that wasn't the problem. After hours of research Jeff found that the oil filter had been recalled. The GM garage used the wrong filter in the oil change! I highly reccomend zips auto for all your automotive needs!

They fixed some long-standing issues with my car, as well as the immediate issues with the car not starting, and did so at a reasonable price. The car drives a LOT better now.

Getting ready to have my car repair here. I called before having the car towed to the shop and explained what was wrong and they gave me an estimate of $250. Now that it’s there, they say $600. The repair is for an 02 Jeep Liberty front passenger side ball joint. The ball joint is stuck in the arm. They even told me that replacing the whole arm might be more cost effective. I asked why so much and they told me it was because they have to put all the stuff back on the car that was unnecessarily removed. Rotors brakes etc. in the wheel and they have to do an alignment. Now I have someone telling me that it all had to come off because it’s a 4 wheel drive. I don’t know who to believe at this point.

My mother in law's 08 Impala had a flat tire. She was around the corner so she had her insurance tow the car over so it wouldn't mess up the tire or rim or break the bead. She went inside and came out and said the service manager was rude and said it would be an hour before anyone could put air in her tire. I then asked a tech who was standing in his bay if he could put any air in her tire. He said he was supposed to be working on another car and he would ask his boss. The service manager came out to my car and told me he doesn't have anyone who has any time to put air in the tire and if it's flat then it won't hold any air. I told him he was inccorect because the bead wasn't broken and he threw his hands up and told me to have the tow truck driver take it somewhere else. It takes less than 2 minutes to put air in a tire ! This whole conversation took place less than 6 feet from a 3/8 air line! This place is unprofessional , rude , and the service manager is nasty and unhelpful ! I wouldn't let these people work on a radio flyer wagon !

wow. first of all, i orginally scheduled an appointment for my SUV with a very friendly person on the phone. called the day of early in the morning to confirm a time and was met with some man that just seemed ANNOYED with the whole fact i was calling in the morning. its down the street from where i am at and my engine had a good risk of stalling even just the few blocks away. i asked if there would be any chance of someone from the shop coming maybe less than half a block away to help push the car if need be. his response? "i dont know, call the towing company" FOR LESS THAN 4 YARDS FROM THEIR SHOP. ugh thank GOD it made it there fine. once it was checked in, i was back at my friends house and waited a good 2 1/2 hours before i called to see what was going on. had to call several times before i even got an answer. and when i finally did, it was the same annoyed employee! i asked what had been done and he said they did a "courtesy diagnostic" on my vehicle and that two cylinders were misfiring. to APPARENTLY JUST TO "OFFICIALLY" DIAGNOSE MY VEHICLE it was going to be 250$. i ask if they would have it diagnosed by the end of the day or tomorrow (2:30ish pm at this time), all he repeatedly said was "ill call you when i know somethin" TO EVERY QUESTION I ASKED WITH NO FURTHER INFORMATION AS TO WHAT THEY WERE DOING WITH THE CAR and gave no estimated time or anything. every mechanic ive ever had has at least has the courtesy of telling me at least what they needed to do or why they were doing what they were doing!!!! at this point it was about a good 3 hours wasted, i said fine and go ahead. another two hours pass, i get a call at 4ish pm (brought the car in at 11:30) only for the same annoyed employee to say "i dont want my guys doing anything with this car. its too dirty." I. LITERALLY. HAD. THREE OR FOUR. EMPTY AND CRUMPLED FAST FOOD BAGS ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE FLOOR WITH UMBRELLAS AND A SET OF SOCKET WRENCHES ALONG WITH IT. camping supplies in the back. he said he didnt want his guys even touching the steering wheel in it. a whole day WASTED waiting for them to do something while being treated like dirt. ive been waiting to get my car in this place for almost a WEEK now. i have never had anyone refuse me service for the condition of my car. ive heard horror stories from mechanically inclined friends of disgusting things like people letting fungus grow on the floorboards of their car or rotten food just all over the thing. i could see the point then. but for RELATIVELY NEW PAPER BAG TRASH AND A CLUSTER OF TOOLS??? REALLY?? should i go get it REPAINTED and WAXED just for you guys to work on it????? just close for corona then. dont even bother if you want peoples daily use vehicles to be absolutely spotless. thanks for wasting my time.
