I sent my girlfriend in today to simply get a spray can of paint. The “man” helping her, essentially told her she doesn’t know what she’s doing, that she “belongs at Hobby Lobby,” and that she should have me come in instead.
That’s just pathetic. It’s truly not difficult to have some respect.
I stopped by as a Salesperson on a sales call. I've done some body work myself and was highly impressed with the knowledge coupled with the professional treatment and friendliness of the staff. They teamed up and did a great job with the transactions I observed.

Billy and his team are some of the kindest, most helpful people you could ever do commerce with. I met Billly many Years ago after hearing so many people tell me their experiences with him. Immediately I understood why there were such a loyalty to him and his business. You cannot go wrong purchasing your materials from Standard Auto Body!! It’s the only place open on Saturday (until 12 noon) which is awesome and it makes all the difference in the world when you don’t have what you need. They are absolutely professional and wonderful people full of knowledge and technical info specific to automotive refinish. I cannot say enough about how incredible they really are. Don’t waste your time. Don’t be confused. Don’t overthink it go to Standard Auto Body or give them a call.
Hey, these guys KNOW auto paint! Decided to try my hand at painting just the wing mirrors. They sold me all the right stuff, and the result was EXCELLENT. Just imagine how good it would’ve been if I’d had a paint booth and wasn’t dumb enough to touch the paint after I pulled a hair out of it. But that’s not their fault. These guys are the real deal!
Single source used to be my number one go to for Auto paints.. the prices were always cheaper there and the staff was always a lot more friendly. Than Standard.. but recently, I have made a change that I think will be permanent. Standard seems to know who I am when I call and they treat me with the utmost respect and professionalism. They usually have my stuff ready for me because I called them not only to ask them prices and to find out if they have something but I will call them back to let them know when I'm for sure, 100% on my way so they can start mixing my paint. Single source will not start it, even if I have the code and give it to them, until I'm there.. I used to go to single source at least twice a week for the past 9 months and they always have to really cordial and nice but they never acted like they knew who I was at all. This last time going to standard I actually forgot to put oil in my truck and I asked the guy if they sold oil and he told me no but you can go ask Randy next door and I went next door to a mechanic shop, his name is Randy and he actually gave me two quarts of oil and a funnel. He would not let me pay for them and he was a really cool dude.. thank you again Randy and thank you guys at standard for sending me over there!
Have purchased automotive paints here many times here over the past 30+ years. I'm not a pro but very experienced DIY hobbiest who has painted several cars & a couple of jetskis. Stopped in here recently to inquire about paint 4A project & these guys were so helpful. Reminded me why I always came back, easy going, knowledgeable and helpful! Didn't buy anything as they convinced me what I needed was beyond DIY & then they gave me a great referral to a bodyshop!
Would rather buy what I need online. Most of staff was nice but older gentlemen had attitude when I asked him any questions. He acted like I was annoying him.
