There’s construction going on right next to it right now but the parking lot is still easy to access and the building is locked so the security guard will let you in and the staff are very kind, friendly, professional.
Came down today to give blood, and the lady who took my vitals was very rude today. She kept getting rude with me over some of the dumbest things. I tried to explain that I was walking, and of course, your temperature and blood pressure would rise. She wouldn't let me get some water as it was already hot outside. Thankfully, she allowed me to donate, but again, she was very rude about the whole situation. Some people will feel discouraged from donating if this continues to be an issue. I'm glad to be helping other people out, but the attitude for no reason has got to go!
I took a CPR/AED course, and it was exactly what I expected. Very informational and I feel confident that if I need to use either of these, I will be ready to go. I thought the instructor did an excellent job and answered any questions that we had. I think this is certainly the best choice for CPR instruction in the Louisville area. Plenty of parking on the side and they have times that fit my schedule.
The staff is great and very informative. They were very encouraging as well. I have made this Red Cross facility my choice location for blood donations.
I gave blood at Immaculate Conception Church on October 29th. Everyone was nice , but the two young ones that stood out for me with niceness and caring were Gabe and Riza. They made my experience pleasant!
DO NOT SCHEDULE APPTMT ON LINE!!! I have twice signed up, completed the Rapid Pass and then gone to the Hubbard's Lane center only to be very rudely sent away because they don't accept appt booked on line. The option should be removed of it is not being used; they don't answer the phone so you can't make appts that way; they don't accept walk ins. I want to donate blood to help people for free. Perhaps the blood banks that buy blood are run better.
The Red Cross helps so many. They are a gift to all in times of need. We are blessed to have them, especially for those who need and receive blood donations.
Really bad service!! People who came in after me got checked in and I was left there like I was invisible. They called me wanting my O- blood but when I got there it was a different story
I started volunteering there for my job last year and from that experience, I decided to go back to donate blood. Now, I have donated blood twice and platelets once. 3 Units donated and many more to go! Thanks #ARCGiveBlood You are the Best! I love the way the app tells me where my donations are going.
I came here for CNA classes and was very rudely told to go downstairs in the basement for the class down there! I've never been to this building in my life and didn't know where to go! The CNA instructor said it with a nasty attitude! Never again will I come to red Cross blood donation center! They're harassing me every month with phone calls to my home to come in and donate blood. I don't think so! If this place had friendly staff who treats people right and don't mistreat visitors Everytime they come I wouldn't mind but no!
I just went to give blood as I do regularly but this time it was a very bad experience. They kept bouncing between me and the only other man there at this time. It was 45 mins before they even started the process only to have the needle dug around in my arm for a vein I couldn’t see. I have multiple ones you can see plain as day that they usually use. Make a long story short if it wasn’t so important I don’t know if I would do this again!

I made an appointment in advance to give a double red. When I arrived the person checked me in and said you are here to give a double red or the new name they use now. I went through the normal questions and checked my blood. I laid down in the chair and the nurse hooked me up. Next thing I knew she was taking the line out of my arm. I said I thought I was doing a double red. She said there was no one there who knew how to run the machine. She bandaged up my arm and sent me on my way, no one offered me any juice or anything. If I didn’t know how much it helps to donate I wouldn’t do it anymore.
Not impressed with the Phlebotomists. Very unprofessional, everyone was on their phones, and while my sister was passed out, they were playing around and not taking the situation seriously. I'm very irritated and upset due to the fact that my sister and I went out of our way to donate blood, but the staff did not act accordingly to their titles.
