So appreciate having this center near my home. I was able to recycle moving boxes and old TV wall brackets from my home. FYI, the guy working there told me they close at 5 PM on Saturdays.
We have dropped off cooking oil, plastics, paper, metal, wood, everything except haz mat waste like light bulbs and batteries that have to go to the haz mat location on grade lane. Really nice staff. Easy to drop off.
Despite a rude city employee (I've had to deal with Mr. Stinky Attitude twice), recycling makes sense. Honestly, this silly slab of Gorgonzola of an employee takes great delight in talking to others as if they are not so bright children. Oh, well, a tangled mind is its own worst punishment. Let's keep recycling!
Just went to drop off storm debris and was told I need to drive all the way to Merriweather location. I live nearby; so Why do I need to go down there?
Also a city truck was pulling in to dump the same debris. Not a happy tax paying citizen!
I love that its close to me but the last 2 times I have gone to drop off items I've been told I need to sort my items. What's the point of a sorting center and you getting paid for sorting if I am doing your job?!
