I went to the poplar level road auto zone with a dead battery. Farber was very nice and helpful - checked my battery to see if they could replace it. Yordanis was also very kind and came out in the cold to swap out my battery for the new one. I recommend this location for the positive experience I had with their staff members - Farber and Yordanis.

Young man Jonathan is fabulous if you need help he will go above and beyond. Even if he isn’t sure how to work a machine he will give it 110%. While the manager she will try to convince you she doesn’t know how to operate machine because she’s a manager. Doesn’t make much sense to me but as she said since she’s a manager she hast been trained to use them. If I was rating Jonathan he would definitely have 5 stars
So I went there and purchased a brake light for my car. I asked the “manager” if he could install it and he said no that the other guy outside would have too. So I walked outside and asked the guy. He finished what he was doing then went in the store. I’m “assuming” he went to get tools…but I was wrong. I re-enter the store and asked if he can put my brake light in. He walked to my car looked at the light and said I don’t know how to do it let me ask my “manager.” Same guy asks the “manager” then exits the store and tells me he will be out in 2 minutes. I waited 5 minutes and nobody ever came out. My first mind said to go to another location but no I had to go and now I’m at home looking on YouTube so I can do it myself!!
I am only picking a three star review because I am not thrilled with most of my interactions at this location.
If I am reviewing the interactions with a gentleman named Jonathan. I would’ve gave it a five star review. He hasn’t been trained on how to use the alternator machine…(why aren’t they NOT training employees how to use the machines? More specifically when the manager tries to explain to me that she didn’t know how to use the machine because she was a manager? Seriously she wasn’t helping her case. But she was a manager!?!***) He said his first go round with it didn’t work out so great but the night I was in there, he helped me and my brother‘s girlfriend get the alternator on the machine and we tested it. Successfully! Jonathan if you’re not in there I will shop elsewhere!
I returned about two weeks later because a friend‘s car battery kept dying so we went to test his battery and I had a headlight out. Thankfully, Jonathan was there that night and he helped me attempt to figure out why the bulb wasn’t working and we also got the battery tested and it was fine.

My advice to anyone going into this location? Jonathan works evenings and he is incredible.
Please fix your alls testing and diagnosis equipment. I came by to get check engine light codes and a battery test but the technician wasn’t able to do it. they showed me that both the code reader and battery tester wasn’t working so I had to go else where. I like this location and the staff is great, just left feeling frustrated.
Without a doubt one of the worst shopping experiences I e ever had in my life! I purchased parts for my car a couple of weeks ago. Having twin baby girls I just have had time to install them and found that they were not the right parts. I went to the store where I purchased them wanting to exchange them, but the employee told me he could not return them because they were not in the system when he pulled up my account. Although I am certain I entered my phone number so I would get points for my purchase. And proceeded to tell me he couldn't do a exchange or return without a receipt which I did not think I needed for an exchange and told me I needed to go back to the store I purchased them at, return the item, then drive back there because the other store didn't have them in stock, another 40 minute round trip to exchange my parts for the correct parts. I wasn't the one that screwed up and sold someone a part that didn't fit. The employees name was Raymond, the assistant store manager I believe. I am livid that I have to be inconvenienced so grossly to exchange the parts they screwed up. I will not be stepping foot in another AutoZone as long as I live. They've lost a loyal customer. I'm spending my money elsewhere.
Was told the auto part was located at their hub store. Drove there to find out they didn't have it either and they had to order it. Didn't have time to wait the two days for them to get it in. Went to a different auto parts store that had it in stock.
Raymond was very knowledgeable and helpful at the Poplar Level location! He quickly diagnosed the issue, found the part needed, and installed without hesitation. 10/10 recommend. Thank you, Raymond!
Attempted to call them 7 times in a row. Each time someone hung up on me. I heard background noise for a few seconds then they hung up. If you’re too busy, you can always just ask if the caller is willing to hold. Poor customer service. If I was the GM or owner, I would investigate and remind the employees what it means to provide decent customer service.
Historically slow, poor service, ignorant help.
Don’t waste your time here, take the extra five minutes and go to the location on Preston, much better service, better help, and you won’t grow gray hair as you wait in line to buy an oil filter.
GREAT SHOUT OUT TO THE MANAGER COLLINS AT THIS AUTOZONE SITE. I THOUGHT I HAD A BAD STARTER AND WITHIN MINUTES HE WAS ABLE TO SHOW ME, IT WAS MY BATTERY GOING BAD. PROVIDED A SOLUTION AND HAD ME OUT OF THERE IN MINUTES. WHEN I CAME I HAD NO DASH NO RADIO AND A BAD BATTERY THAT WONT HOLD A CHARGE WHEN I LEFT I HAD A WORKING DASH, RADIO, AND A 3YR WARRENTY BATTERY GOD IS GREAT THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN! YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AT WHAT YOU DO.

The staff is VERY unhelpful, unprofessional, and overall unattentive to customers needs.
It's an embarrassment that the staff working evenings/nights could not help a young woman install a NEWLY PURCHASED car battery due to "weather conditions". Just shameful behavior.
A suggestion to management you might want to meet with your night/afternoon team as this seems to be a trend at your store.
My daughter was just there tonight to get a new battery. She was told no one could put the battery in there for her. First of all that's part of your job. 2nd, it's a woman and it's pouring down rain. On top of that, you helped a man out right after her. There are no real men left anymore. I don't know if you prefer men, or if you are racist. Do better!
My daughter needed help to put a battery into her car, when Autozone determined her battery was bad. I paid for battery and the employee there say he couldn't help her install the battery because of the weather. As soon as she walks out, the employee help another guy and not a woman? This store suck and Autozone you have lost a customer for life. What man does that to a woman in need of help. But he could help the next guy? What a joke
You can be very specific on the phone with what part you need and provide the part number year and make of the vehicle. They will tell you you have the part, and then when you get there just an hour or so later they don't have the part. If you value your time proceed with caution.This is the one and only review I have ever wrote online.
Jamie P was very helpful and involved with checking out my batteries condition and helping with replacing to a new upgraded battery to offer years of care free service with my gold duracast battery. Ask for Jamie and will definitely offer great service.

While looking for a seal and a water pump for a vehicle, I was treated disrespectfully by an employee named Raymond C. Despite my attempts to explain the issue with the part we brought as a sample, he interrupted me and demanded an apology, refusing to listen or assist me.
I felt very uncomfortable with this situation, as I have always valued the service at your store. We are from Texas and needed a car part while visiting here. The gentleman that helped us was very patient and super nice. It took us 3 times to get the right part to fix our problem and gladly would exchange the part to get us another one!! (We were guessing what was wrong cheapest to more expensive) He was very helpful. Thank you again
Raymond C. made my experience wonderful and easy by making my day. He found what I needed and offered to install it for me. I am in this store 2-3 times a week. It’s got the best prices. The staff is friendly and helpful and it’s got everything I need to dress up my 2008 GT\CS Mustang.
Ordered a part online same day pickup, only to find out the part is factory direct order. Online service needs to be better, honestly it's unacceptable. If I come back to AutoZone in general it's because your staff at this location honestly made me feel like they did everything they could. A++ on their customer service, they are the reason this isn't a 1star review. Keep up the great work guys. Corporate needs to fix the online portal.
