What clients say about Tony's Wrecker Services - Heavy Duty Towing in Louisville (KY)

Cory saved my rear on the side of 265 in Indiana. Took me into Louisville and skillfully got my old Karman Ghia in my narrow driveway without any issues. Hopefully, I won’t need to use them again but, if I do, I will call Tony’s again!

HORRIBLE!!! These people are unreal. Do not let this place tow your car after an accident. We have returned to this place four times with documents that they requested each time but because of them not being specific, assuming we’ve done this before and using their own language and verbiage, it wasn’t right and we had to go back and get something different. Even after my husband sent documents via email before we took time off work AGAIN and came out here AGAIN and got approval that everything was OK, I show up today and it still wasn’t. They finally released it after I had a meltdown and the lady had the nerve to say they did research through the state of Kentucky and did the work for me and my husband. You have got to be kidding me?? We have been making phone calls, taking time off work, bringing what they said they needed, taking my father-in-law with dementia to get the paperwork done that they requested, notarized paperwork and it still wasn’t right. Some nerve to treat people like that. THEY did the work for us?? LOL!! They do not know our situation and the stress we are under nor do they care. More days in impound means more money for them. These people do this every day and can’t expect someone off the street to understand their verbiage and requirements. They need to be very specific about exactly what is required. Don’t say the most recent registration if the most recent registration is expired and you won’t accept it. Don’t tell me you need a title receipt and it’s not the right kind. They have made me lose faith in this kind of business. And I get they have requirements to release a vehicle. We were more than happy to accommodate what was needed. It’s the communication and the nonchalant attitude as if we have all the time in the world to hang out at their establishment to see what extra requirements or verbiage they require. Nope. No thank you. **** Update. Someone from Tony’s called my husband this afternoon over this review. He answered at his desk thinking it was something about the process but, no. He got balled out!! Just further proving my point about this business. But in response to the below, no one EVER directed us to the website. It was verbal, nondescript direction. We were told to bring the current registration which we did. Yep. It was expired but life with a car owner that has dementia and a dead spouse that did everything makes things challenging. The only error we had was not having a current registration. We emailed what we had yesterday and got a verbal confirmation that we were good. Otherwise I would not have made the 4th trip and missed work - again. And if you expect someone who has never been in a car accident like that to do all the right things at the scene, you need to go in to a different line of work. That’s why there are people like insurance agents and police officers and wrecker services that deal with these things daily to direct people and guide them where they need to go and what they need to do. As I said previously, there was no issue doing what we needed to do to fulfill your requirements in releasing the car. The problem was no one taking the time to say “this is exactly what we need…. Go to our website… I’ll email you what you need to ask for at the DMV.” Zero. Don’t call and ball out customers. If anything, this serves as a warning to people reading that they can’t expect the help needed and watch your back.

By far the WORST experience I've had with a tow yard and I've had PLENTY. As a small business owner, the customer service at 1st seemed helpful but at the end TERRIBLE. The 1st issue, was the man constanly repeating that he wouldn't charge an extra day ($45.00) for 8 minutes (i can accept some accountability as i didnt realize they are on EST and im central) either way, being told that 4x on the phone seemed to a tad bit much as youre already overchanging for the service any way. If you're being kind just do that, don't keep telling me youre doing me a favor. But any who, my main issue is with whoeever the lady is that answers the phone. AT one point the lady tried to tell me what happened with the car AFTER the renter already confessed. Actually tried to argue with me about what happened. Then told me if I called her ma'am again (which ma'am is a kind thing to say and respectful in Akansas where im from,) she said she would hang up in my face and make me wait until Monday, AFTER I've already paid (hours prior mind you) and supplied documents. The other issue was they request an additional document that they emailed me about instead of calling (THEY DID NOT TELL ME about the document,) IN CASE THEY GET ON HERE LYING, MY COMPANY RECORDS ALL CALLS. I went back and listened. My issue was they told me they would call if they needed any additional things, when they called me back because my card declined due to fraud, they immediately called me and the payment went through. Now why is it that you can call me for the payment but cant call for the additional document. Sounds like youre trying to get more money, idk maybe the 8 minutes was a joke, because i still ended up paying it. Almost 2 hours had passed at this point, which according to them, now i have to pay an additional day, even though ive already paid for the impound, AND PAID THEM TO TOW THE CAR to a new destination ( 2 hours prior to this call) , almost $500.00. Which puts me at almost $550 for this "extra" day. She told me I should have handled all this earlier then I would have had more time. Ma'am i run a business in a whole nother state, with 4 employess and 32 vehicles with a child in the NICU. I handled it when i did. Everything out of this ladies mouth was rude, condesending, threating, and unnecessary. Then they take another 2 hours after charging me another $45 to deliver the vehicle. The worker is TRASH. I assume by the way she talked to me she does it often to other people and trying to use the fact that she has someone's car to make them pay more. She also questioned so many things, things that honestly weren't her business. But i still answered her questions. Like one was why did i ask the other person what was needed when she told me the day before. I corrected her and told her i didnt, he just told me on his own. Which honestly, i didnt mind because who has an issue with ensuring that they have the right things. Like why are you asking me about that? I didn't get her name nor do I care to know it. But what I do know is she needs to learn how to talk to people. And your company that employs you can work on training you better. They can think about it as their Google ratings dip. You can email me like you did if you want to talk about it.
