Today on 09/12/25 I took in a bunch of car/boat batteries. I want to Acknowledge and Thank Sheldon, Kenny and Robert. I've been here before throughout the last 12-15 years and I'm extremely grateful for these guys who helped me. I've had the pleasure of talking with them and for them to help me unload. I will always continue to go to this location because of these great gentleman. Thanks Sheldon, Kenny and Robert. I Highly Recommend this location!!!
$0 for catalytic converters even with title and registration in hand. I understand the theft issues, the rating is due to this policy not being present on their website. This business is a waste of time.
To the MM reply, informed consumerism is a key component of a business. Where there is no legal market there will only exist a black market, that is outcome of their policy and further justification for the review.
Well when I got there they quoted me a price of .05 cents per pound for steel and when all was said in done they only paid me .04 cents. This may not seem like a big deal. But when ur talking hundreds of pounds. It can add up and it's not in ur pocket but in the bosses. So if you don't want to be cheated. Then go somewhere else. Cheat me as they did and this is your review. Hope you enjoy it. I won't be back and neither will any one who reads this review.
BEWARE OF THE PLACE!! I went here to scrap a steel EOD (edge of dock) for my husband. The EOD weighed 360 pounds which should have paid approximately $40 dollars at the current rate of $160 per ton.
However me not knowing this, they got over on me paying $.02 per pound = $7.20. If you choose to use this place for recycling, be aware of the current recycling rates so you don't get screwed over like I did. 🤬
Over the past 7 years I have learned that this company seems to pay the least for scrap. I live close to them and have chosen to only use them when distance is an issue. This company stopped accepting steel for a long time and that definitely left me regretting hauling my load to their facility. I guess having a scrap center in the upper east end of Louisville is expensive, so I imagine they need to shave down the price they offer to the people that use them so they can keep leasing the building. I suggest you look elsewhere if you want the best return for your efforts. The only reason I didn't rate them a 1 star is due to the decent people that work there.
I highly recommend it to you. Very nice and friendly. Usually in and out very quickly. They are very close to where I live and easy to get there. In a industrial area of town. Easy access to area. Call to find out prices. Excellent. Better than going downtown and a lot closer too.
Do not use this company! They are first class swindlers and do not do an honest business. They were given the opportunity to make things right and I was given the typical gold versus silver speech. Not to be trusted!
