If you buy a vehicle from Tom Gray Motorsports, do yourself a favor and think twice. I was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps less than a year ago and needed a reliable vehicle to get me through grad school. I found a car on their website that looked perfect for what I needed and decided to check it out. They let me test drive it, but when I asked about a pre-purchase inspection, they would only allow it to be done at a mechanic of their choosing — the same shop they admitted they use for all of their own work. Both Tom Gray Motorsports and that mechanic assured me the car was in great shape and only needed brakes. I already knew about the brakes and was completely fine with that. Two days after driving it off the lot, the car threw a code for a bad coil and plug. Annoying, but things happen with used cars, so I paid to fix it. While it was in the shop, my own mechanic looked the car over and found over $4,000 worth of additional issues that need to be addressed. The entire underside of the car is severely rusted. Not surface rust — rotted out. Tom Gray did not mention this, and their mechanic downplayed it as minor surface rust from the winter weather. This car was presented and sold to me as being perfectly fine other than needing brakes. That simply wasn’t true. So now, less than a year after coming home from the Marine Corps and trying to start grad school, I’m sitting here with what feels like a $10,000 paperweight that I can’t rely on to get me to class. At best, Tom Gray Motorsports failed to do even the most basic due diligence before selling this car. At worst, they knew exactly what they were selling and chose not to say anything. Either way, I regret buying a car from them, and I would strongly recommend that anyone considering doing business with them get a truly independent inspection — or, better yet, just go somewhere else. Buyer beware.

We just purchased a Porsche Macan for Valentines Day and this was by far the easiest vehicle purchase we have ever made!!! Everyone was so great to work with and we drove 2 hours just to purchase from them. Highly recommend you visit their lot because you will not be disappointed with the service and the friendly environment. Thank you all for my beautiful SUV!!!

I regret that I did not get the name of the person I spoke with on the phone. I called to ask a few questions about a car I was interested in, and I was disappointed by the level of professionalism during the conversation. When I asked simple questions about the vehicle, the salesperson repeatedly told me to “just look at the Carfax,” and the tone felt dismissive. After the third time hearing this response, I decided I no longer felt comfortable purchasing a car from this dealership. While I would prefer not to judge the entire business based on one interaction, this experience ultimately influenced my decision to look elsewhere.

BEWARE of the salesman Kelly, from my observation he displays extreme Antisocial and pathological lying traits. Do not trust a word this guy says. Well, let me just say I’m taken back by this company. I recently purchased a 2018 BMW M240I Xdrive. I spent $22,000 and have poured much more into it. As far as Kelly told me this car was in perfect mechanical and physical condition. Funny enough I’ve spent the past three weeks chasing around thousands of dollars worth of issues with this car. I’ve had a transmission flush, reprogramming, and a failing front strut. It would be closer to $10,000 of damage; if I didn’t have the connection’s I do. Furthermore, there was underside damage that was deliberately hidden. The company didn’t not take photos of that side of the car for the listing, as well as, the car was the only one parked near the building. Making it impossible to see the damage; Unless you got down on your hands and knee’s in -degree weather. Kelly texted me that he and tom would take care of this issue and has not returned any of my phone call’s since. I have text messages and voice recordings of this. He has displayed zero remorse throughout this process. This is not how business should be conducted. I will be going to small claims tomorrow for breach of contract and fraud. Let’s hope justice is served!

Loved how easy it was. Most car dealers try to push you on different cars, but here you just ask to test drive the one you want and they pretty much just give you the keys and you can take it or leave it 🤷♂️

One of the best experiences I have had with buying a car. The evaluation process was great, they allowed me to test drive by myself, there was no pressure to purchase the same day as I wanted to look at a couple of other options, extremely friendly staff! They allowed a pre-purchase inspection, but only through their preferred auto shop. I was disappointed I couldn't choose my shop, but they offered to pay for repair or take the cost of repair off the purchase price. When I did decide to buy they had all of the paperwork prepped so when I came in, I had all paperwork signed and keys in hand within 5 minutes. One small thing I didn't like was that I didn't get the title when I came in to sign, but they offered to mail it to me and called me when it was available. 9.8/10. Will absolutely buy from them again!

Seems to be a difference when assisting certain black persons. They were rude and ordered the gentleman out of the dealership, after he was told to go get the money “before” he could test drive a car. He came back with the CASHIERS CHECK and was refused test driving the car. He was rudely told to leave the dealership. Under no circumstance do I recommend this dealership.

DISHONEST AND DECEPTIVE I bought a used car from Tom Gray and was flat-out misled by Kelly and Megan. Before purchasing, I noticed fluid in the engine bay and asked about it. I was told it was just residue from replacing the water pump (also turned out to be a lie) — no big deal, nothing to worry about. Based on that, I went through with the sale. Less than two weeks later, the car started leaking coolant. A certified mechanic diagnosed a leaking radiator and a damaged hose — both of which need to be replaced. This wasn’t some new problem. It clearly existed at the time of sale and was deliberately covered up. Or maybe because I am a young female. When I contacted Tom Gray to make it right, they hid behind the “as is” clause and took no responsibility whatsoever. “As is” does NOT give you the right to mislead customers or lie about known issues. That’s not just bad business — it’s unethical and illegal. I trusted this place and got burned. Do yourself a favor: take your business elsewhere. Literally, anywhere else. If you absolutely have to buy from here, get everything inspected independently, and don’t believe a single word they say without proof.

I bought a car with 90K miles. Two months after buying it the gas tank failed with a leak. I called for help and they said the warranty applied only to the motor. I spent extra $3000 on getting this repaired only for getting a door sensor error 1 month after that. The post-maintenance service is too bad, there is no way you can cause a gas tank issue, also it is impossible to detect when buying the car. Run away of this risk.

We bought a 2017 Nissan Murano from Kelly. Had a good experience. No pressure. Kelly was great about letting me take the car to my wife’s work so she didn’t need to take off to see the car. Process was very quick and easy. Would recommend.

Tom Gray Auto Sales was the best car buying experience! Kelly (Executive Sales) was an excellent communicator. Tom (Owner) found my car for me after another Macan S sold over the weekend. Megan (Finance) had my car ready and running when it was time to leave. Why shop here: All cars are cleaned and prices are posted on the windshield. My car came with a 3000 mile extended warranty. No back and forth issues. Kelly worked the whole process. Like I said the best and easiest transaction. Got a great car with CAR FAX data.

10/10. The Grays and Co have down it again. Tommy worked with us to find the PERFECT EXPEDITION. They will take care of you. I truly feel like they would not put you in anything that they wouldn’t drive their family in themselves. Such a fun inventory of vehicles. Super easy to process paper work. ***UPDATE*** 6/23/25 After my initial review Tom Gray reached out personally and we came to a quick resolve. He was honest and covered the cost of repairs. Purchased a vehicle 4/30/25 with a 3mo/3K warranty. On 6/11/25 had a power steering issue. Called to get a copy of the warranty and was provided a copy on 6/12/25. Took the vehicle into the shop and claim was denied due to the vehicle being purchased “yesterday”(6/11/25), as stated above vehicle was purchased 4/30/25. They failed to uphold a purchase agreement by not activating the warranty until it was needed. I did talk with the warranty company and place no blame on them. They were very nice and did confirm that the warranty was purchased/activated on 6/11/25 and not the original purchase date of 4/30/25. I did offer to send them my original vehicle purchase agreement but they said that they could not change anything on the warranty document because it has to come from the Tom Gray Motorsports. I came out of pocket $$$$ for something that was covered by the warranty. Had the dealer upheld their purchase agreement and activated the warranty when I purchased the vehicle this would have been a non issues. Initially had a great experience with Tom Gray Motorsports and was planning on purchasing another vehicle from them in the next year when my other child starts driving.

***6/2/25 I have updated my review because Tom Gray did repair the brake line on my LR4 no charge to me. They were courteous and professional and I had my vehicle back in 2 business days. I only gave them 3 stars because while they did make the repairs at no charge to me, it took my 1 star review to get their attention. I'm not sure if the dealership is under new MGMT or owners, but hopefully this will mean a better used vehicle for future customers. Happy Car shopping. ***5/2/25 this comes 1 week late, but unfortunately my brakes were NOT covered by the warranty because the bake issues are do to rust. Haven't even made the first payment and and having to pay $1500+ to repair the brakes. Still doesn't even deserve 1 star but I have to give one to post a review. ***Update Brakes went out on my LR4. Tom Grays dealership gave me a 3 month / 3000 mile warranty that covers the brakes...not braking . I will change my review accordingly when I see where this goes. 4/19/25 They wanted to appear accommodating, but really just wanted to sell a vehicle without being bothered. I chose to finance through my bank and once they found that out they couldn't be bothered. I wanted the car I bought, and I'm not sure anyone could have talked me out of it, but I regret my decision. They couldn't be bothered to answer questions I had regarding any service maintenance they had done on the vehicle. I asked before completing the purchase as well as called on 3 different occasions to which I was told they would have to get back with me once Tom got back. Well he must have never come back because I purchased my LR4 on 3/19/25 and still haven't heard back. So I just assumed they had no maintenance done and took care of it myself. This dealership only has high priced luxury cars so you would think they would have all of that documentation in order but my guess is they knew the problems with the LR4 they were selling and chose to play dumb and sell it to a sucker and they found one. I would NOT recommend this dealership unless you want a high priced lemon or you have more money than brains.

I was searching for a BMW Z4 Convertible for some time, and came across this specific model offered at Tom Gray Auto Sales. This vehicle was in pristine condition with very low mileage given its year of manufacture. After a test drive and a thorough inspection, I did not hesitate to make an offer on this beautiful BMW roadster. The two sales representatives I dealt with were Megan and Jim. They were both very professional and made the purchase process quick and easy to understand all the details. I really don't think I could find an automobile dealer that rivals Tom Gray Auto Sales regarding their very friendly and professional approach to their customers. I will definitely consider this dealer should I decide to purchase another vehicle in the future. A Five-Star transaction in every way!!!

Barrett was so efficient and thorough and very patient with my car buying purchase! I absolutely love love love my car. It was the perfect match and he gave me ample time to test drive and go through every document so that I would be protected with a little warranty and, arrive home safely! The experience I had at Tom Gray Auto Sales is the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I was looking for a car for my daughter. I live in Michigan and I had lots of questions for Barrett. He was very nice and helpful. I decided I wanted to see the vehicle and flew into Louisville, and took a seven minute Uber ride to the dealership. They had the car ready, preliminary paperwork was done and ready to sign if I wanted to move forward with the purchase. The car and experience were more than worth the trip and trouble to come from so far away. I bought the car and drove it 400 miles back home. Now I think my wife wants the car so…I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend these folks. Barrett, Megan and Joe are the best. You can feel good about coming here I promise. Thanks guys!

Awesome Car buying experience. I could not wait to write this review because this was truly the best car buying experiences. I was looking to upgrade my Audi A7...I had a 2016 and I found 2017 special edition Competition with them. I live in NC...so 8hrs away. I initially reached out from Car gurus or auto trader (on several sites looking) and it was late...like 10pm..and I was amazed that the owner emailed me that night...and continued to be responsive. When I asked about my trade...He asked for pics...then gave me a straight forward and very fair trade in price. I already had my own financing with Navy Federal (they ROCK) and my biggest concern was take that long drive and the car not be what I hoped...Well, it was NOT what i thought...It was SO MUCH more. The car was in EXCELLENT condition..I was blown away...The whole process was seamless...no switch and bait. They did exactly what was promised. I was done with everything in less than 30 minutes...The staff was amazing..ALL OF THEM. I was tired but that 8 hr drive back home was great in my new A7...Listen, GO SEE THEM...ITS WORTH THE DRIVE...I had a great experience from beginning to end...

I don’t normally leave reviews but i do have to say I was extremely impressed with Tom gray auto sales. When you pull in all of there inventory is sitting out front for you to shop threw. They don’t have a bunch of sales representatives sitting outside so that they can start hounding you the second you get out of your car. Instead they have all the information you need about the vehicles inside the car windows, and a very nice young lady inside with all the car fax’s to the vehicles on the lot. If you want to test drive a vehicle they just make a copy of your license pull the car out for you and let you go on by yourself to enjoy and it take in without a salesman breathing down your neck the entire drive. And the icing on the cake that really surprised me is that I bought the car on the 13th of February and they had my plates ready by the 16th of February I’ve never in my life bought a car and had the plates in 3 days that’s crazy! Thanks again to Megan and everyone else at Tom gray auto sales!

I went to Tom Gray on a Wednesday knowing exactly which car I wanted (2012 Volvo XC70 T6). I looked at it as much as I could up on the display rack and was able to return the next day to drive it as they needed time to get it down. When I arrived at the agreed upon time on Thursday they gave me the key and left me alone to test drive it and look it over thoroughly, absolutely no pressure. Later that day I made an offer online and we completed the whole transaction via email on Friday and I picked up the car on Monday. Totally painless car buying experience!
