Manchaca Service Center is an amazing automotive shop! They’re honest, reliable, and truly skilled at what they do. The team diagnosed the problem quickly, explained everything clearly, and fixed it right the first time — all at a fair price. It’s hard to find mechanics you can trust, but these guys definitely earn it. Highly recommend!

Always fair on prices for repairs, honest about what needs to be done and they always get my vehicles in and repaired quickly. Terry and Barry were great in helping figure out what was wrong with my 2014 Subaru Outback. I spoke with Terry first about it and made an appointment for the next day. They fixed blower the next day. I will be returning when I need oil change and for any other issues. Thank you and God Bless.

Such a friendly place to leave one's car, and know, that when it's picked up, it will work. I can not imagine going anywhere else. Once my Toyota's complementary service is over, I'll be getting my oil changed at this friendly place. For sure, by bringing my own oil and filter, I'll know what's going into my new baby.

I recently brought my truck to Manchaca Service Center after a frustrating experience at a larger GM dealership, and I couldn’t be happier with the service here. This place feels like a true local gem. They answer the phone every time, and you get the sense right away that they genuinely care about their customers. Unlike corporate repair centers that often push unnecessary recommendations, Manchaca Service Center reviewed the list of “suggested” repairs from my previous shop and let me know which ones were actually needed. They did the work quickly—had everything done in just 1–2 days—and their prices are much more reasonable. They replaced all the spark plugs and ignition switches that the dealership recommended, and they still came in $400 under the dealership’s quote. If you’re looking for honest, affordable, and reliable service, I highly recommend Manchaca Service Center. I’ll be coming here from now on!

A bit pricey as far as labor but very professional. I just didn't like that I had to bring my car back the next day because it was making a noise. Then I notice metal shavings left behind on the floor board of the car.

The older gentleman was very nice and professional. I was renting a moving truck from here. He also suggested to rent the truck by the mile not the day which is was cheaper for me... The people here seemed very honest and knew their stuff.

My car isn't new, but it's new to me so it was of the utmost importance that I make sure it's as safe as possible. I don't live close by so it's a big statement when they do my repairs. I can't say enough good things about how they do business here.

I've used this service for A/C replacement, front stabilizer bar/end links replacement, and rigid collars installation. They make it real easy, you just tell them what you need done, and they will give an estimate. Based on my experience using their services, they get the job done fairly quick.

This auto repair shop is the absolute best! They are honest, professional and reliable. We have had our car here several times to be repaired and they are honest and reliable in telling us what's wrong and fixing the problem quickly even when they're busy. And they are very reasonable. I won't take my car anywhere else to be worked on. Highly recommend them!

I recently used their services for moving and transporting vehicle (via Uhaul 10x10 and a flatbed car carrier) from TX to CA. Terry and team gave EXCEPTIONAL service! Terry made everything so easy. He hooked us up and thoroughly went through ALL the steps for hitching and securing the trailer to the moving truck and securing the vehicle on the trailer. I highly recommend utilizing their services! Moving is so stressful and Terry put my worries to rest by being so helpful and providing excellent service. He went above and beyond. Definitely 5 star service!

I love this place. Other reviewers have noted that there is an air of Christian evangelism. (One even took personally his being handed a Bible passage on a card. My card had one too and I sure didn't take it personally!) I do, personally, love having mechanics who are more devoted to Jesus than money, and who I can trust to do the right thing by me. Terry and Barry (Terry's main mechanic I think) are always friendly, straightforward, helpful, competent and honest. So happy I found manchaca service center!

I’ve used Terry for years and absolutely recommend his and Barry’s service. They’ve helped me out of several situations; have had my truck towed for me among many other things. He’s right down the road from us, opens early, always takes my call / text and responds in a timely manner. Barry blew my wife and I away with amazing customer service! First long distance PCS move towing behind a Uhaul - he helped load my pickup on the auto transport and explained everything along the way. I never set foot in the business and never met anyone in person. My daughter's car broke down at work in Manchaca. We had to leave it at her place of employment. Of course, it was the weekend and we live in Round Rock. I researched places around the Manchaca area and I called these folks on Monday morning. The car had to be towed and they recommended a tow service, which for a wrecker service, was quite reasonable. Terry called me later in the day and told me what was wrong with the car. He ordered the part and had the car finished the following afternoon and the price was lower than originally estimated. I paid by phone and my daughter went by and picked her car up after hours. They were fast, friendly, and affordable. I would recommend them to anyone in the area whether they are in a bind or not.

I had initially just left 1 star and left it at that. I decided that I didn’t need to go in detail about my experience since so little happened. After thinking about it, I’ve decided to at least share my experience at Manchaca Service Center. I had initially called in and told the owner what was wrong and what I was looking for. It was just going to be a brake fluid flush and possibly just do a normal inspection. I did not get a chance to speak at all and he went ahead and discredited my opinion on what my car needed. I brushed it off since this was a place referred to me by someone else. Fast forward to when I come in. He did allow me to show up a little bit before normal times of business since I didn’t have time to come during normal business hours. I thought this was also nice and was becoming confident in my decision to come here. Around 2 hours after, I get a call about what they found. Supposedly they ran my car for any codes and decided instead of a brake flush, I needed $1300 in replacement parts and when I asked for reasoning, they just told me that’s what they found. I asked if they could just do the brake flush and they told me no and to just come pick up my car. When I got there, the owner didn’t speak or look at me at all, just tossed my keys at my on the table and stayed silent. I left and immediately went to a dealership and paid half the price this “service center” was quoting me at and they were completely wrong about the problem. When they found out I gave a negative review, the owner called me directly and told me to take it down. Would never recommend, but if you do go, I do hope your experience is better than mine was.

I wanted to leave a Great atta boy for Terry and his team at Manchaca Service Center. They’ve been taken care of my truck for years now. After 200,000 miles on it, it was time to replace the motor and Terry and his team did a fantastic job!!! I’m very pleased. Everyone in South Austin ought to call Manchaca Service Center their go to place for good,honest,and reliable work done on vehicles.

I moved back to Texas recently and was in search of a good auto center to dedicate to for my 2008 Toyota Prius when need be. I wanted to support a local business and came across this place by Google. It was close to me and they were friendly over the phone so I gave them a chance. They also do everything so I liked the idea of having a one-stop center for all my maintenance needs. Came by three times in the last six months and have yet to be disappointed. I got my state inspection and an oil change here. It was very quick and smooth. The rates are reasonable. I admit I was a little concerned when I pulled up the very first time because of the not-commercially-perfectly-clean like chain businesses (i.e. white walls, manicured parking lot, etc) but later learned that they invest their time in their services rather than the look of their place. They didn't speak down to me as a female and Deaf customer and that was a refreshing change from the other places I've been to. My last visit was due to a concern about how my car was performing. I was upfront about my financial situation (TLDR: not good). They did a check and got back to me in less than two hours. They shared some minor issues but emphasized that it was nothing serious or immediately necessary. I was grateful for their honesty and quick work- especially if it was something I didn't need right now given my finances. They didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. In fact, they reassured me and made me feel good about my car and its maintenance plan. Also, some people (like one reviewer here) may be put off by the Christian materials in their waiting room. I am more spiritual than religious. However, I appreciate that they have moral standards that are within that realm. I never felt like they were pushing their beliefs on me- just sharing what they practiced. They are extremely kind people who work hard and that's rare these days. Exactly what I like to support. Great service, great people, great experience.

Have to share a great experience. I met the owner Terry and he was a very polite and friendly guy, took care of my vehicle inspection quickly and professionally! It was nice to see a shop that cares about customer service! Well done! I will be back and will refer people to him! Thank you.

I had no trouble getting my inspection here, and the staff was friendly and helpful, but I have to agree with some of the other reviews that there was a little bit of propaganda going on. I have no problem with anyone having faith in their life, but the radio in the waiting room was tuned to Christian radio, there was all kinds of Christian literature inside, and when I got in my car, there was some Christian faith pamphlet left on the passenger seat for me. If that's your thing, this place is for you. But if that sounds like something that makes you a little uncomfortable, seek your service elsewhere.

Awesome customer service! Attendant greeted us upon arrival without any hassle. U-Haul keys were ready and we were in the truck and loaded with rented dolly within 5 minutes. Quick hint is to check-in online ahead of time so all you have to do is sign when you get there. Thank you to Manchaca Service Center for starting our move hassle-free!

Just had my second service done at this shop. Terry has always been a pleasure to deal with. Reasonable price, speedy service, and very honest. First time I had brake job and transmission fluid done. They never tried to recommend than what's needed. Terry told me they'll try to resurface the rotor, if that didn't work out, they have to replace it for some extra. Turns out they were able to resurface the rotor. Second time I had some bad wheel bearing problems. They took apart and found only two bearings going bad. Replaced them and my car sounded a whole lot better in years (probably were going out for a while). Another plus is I live in walking distance from my house to them. Will be taking my car here from now on. Recommended!
