This rating is based on customer reviews, inventory size, pricing, and service quality
Recent reviews show Aus-Tex Towing & Recovery, LLC in Austin, TX earns near-unanimous praise: rapid response (often sooner than quoted), accurate ETAs/texts, and professional, courteous staff who handle vehicles carefully, from EV/garage extractions to highway rescues and even container moves. A prior poor tow-yard visit was noted, yet current experiences feel welcoming. Little info on pricing, yard organization, inventory, or parts. Overall score: 100/100. Great pick if you value speed, communication, and careful handling.

I had a completely flat tire on my very expensive EV, which was trapped inside my residential garage like a wounded futuristic animal.
The receptionist at Aus-Tex asked all the right questions ahead of time to make sure the tow would go smoothly. The driver, Trent, arrived exactly when he said he would.
But wait...I must describe his aesthetic. He had made the conscious decision to wake up on a Tuesday morning and assemble an outfit consisting of coordinated patchwork pants, layered accessories, multiple textures, heavy boots, and a fully realized post-industrial metalhead mechanic silhouette, all in order to operate a flatbed tow truck in Austin humidity. I call it "Tow Truck Thrash," and I’m here for it.
At that point I completely trusted him with my luxury vehicle.
He expertly extracted my baby from the garage with zero stress, handled everything perfectly, and got it safely where it needed to go.
Also, when the car alarm started going off because the Taycan believed it was being abducted, he remained completely unfazed, which honestly increased my confidence further.
If I ever need another tow, I will absolutely call Aus-Tex again.
Brandyn was very polite and professional. You can tell he truly enjoys his job and takes pride in his work. He took care of my truck as if it were his own and made the whole experience stress-free. Shout out to Brandyn for the outstanding service — 10 out of 10, highly recommend!
Breanna in the dispatch office was very polite and professional, gave me an accurate eta and got a driver out to me very quickly. I will definitely use Aus Tex every time.
Needed to tow my 59 Ford to the mechanic. Called for tow and was here in under 30 minutes. Quick and professional service. Ive used these guys for over 15 years and they never disappoint!
My last experience with the Tow yard was not good at all. I personally feel that most of these companies have way too much power but tonight I was pleasantly surprised with the way. Daryl handled our unfortunate incident. I’m here helping out a friend that has fallen on hard times and in a world where most people are miserable, especially in the towing business Daryl was very pleasant on the phone and then once I arrived, he finished strong with a positive attitude.
If you find yourself in need of a tow, I highly recommend Aus-Tex. Breanna is so helpful and professional, and that makes a stressful situation easier to deal with.
I had to call in for a tow, around 7 pm, outside of Jonestown. When my tow truck driver was assigned, he called me for details and even though I didn’t have a precise location, he called me directly to discuss where it might be located. He gave me a timeframe for his arrival, and arrived when he said he would. He took pictures of the truck, got the keys, and let me go on my way. Honestly, he was great, very communicative, and efficient with everything.
Excellent communication via text message that tow truck was in route. Daniel the tow truck driver was helpful and took care of my car. Def would use them again.
I had a great experience speaking with the team here. Breanna was incredibly professional and polite on the phone, making a stressful situation much easier to handle. I'll definitely be calling Aus-Tex anytime I need a tow in the future. Highly recommend their services!
Aus-Tex towing was such a breath of fresh air during such an unfortunate time! Breanna is simply amazing. She is so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! I will be recommending Aus-Tex towing to all of my friends and family!
I don’t usually post reviews, but I just have to share my experience with Aus-Tex. The entire experience was first class, from the very first phone call. Breanna was so kind and I could tell she genuinely cared and wanted to help me. Customer service people these days are always so short and cold, but not her. She was very easy to communicate with and really listened to me, listened to understand my needs, not just to respond. This place has it down, customer service/support is top notch!
Having a vehicle towed is never fun. That said, Aus-Tex made it all ok. Breanna, in the office, was so friendly and professional. She made the process easy and did so with great empathy. I’m not sure who the wrecker driver was but my car was clearly well taken care of.
I highly recommend Bryan N. with Austex Towing. Our company used Austex to move a container from one site to another, and Bryan did an excellent job. He was professional, careful, and clearly paid attention to the details throughout the move. I really appreciated how smoothly everything went and would definitely call again.
