A solid farmers market with outdoor flea market area. Would be great if manager decided to modernize a bit considering nothing has been updated since the early 2000’s. Would love to see this place cleaned a bit considering it’s an iconic part of the Delawarean experience in NCC.

Shopping at New Castle Produce is truly a unique experience. Their produce represents many countries from around the world, making every visit feel like a global market. You can find virtually any fruit or vegetable you’re seeking from everyday staples to rare and hard-to-find specialty items. The store is well organized, which makes navigating the wide selection much easier, even though it is often very crowded. Despite the busy atmosphere, the lines move quickly and efficiently, so you’re never waiting long to check out. What really stands out is their customer service. On one occasion, I purchased coconuts that turned out to be spoiled, and management promptly replaced it without hesitation. That level of responsiveness and care speaks volumes about how they value their customers. If you’re searching for difficult-to-find produce or international ingredients, you’re almost guaranteed to find it here. New Castle Produce is a go-to destination for quality, variety, and convenience.

Although it’s always busy, I’ve always been able to find parking within 1-2 minutes. Donuts are great, tacos are delicious, and there are plenty of choices! I reccomend bringing cash. All though several places accept cards, there are minimum purchase prices or fees.

New Castle Farmers Market is a great local spot, but expect it to be very busy since it’s only open on weekends. We used to go more often, but now we try to make it there every few months. It’s a reliable place to grab the usual staples, and it’s also fun if you’re hunting for something a little more unique in a local setting.

This review is for the pet store. They’re selling 2 very visibly sick guinea pigs. It digesting and breaks my heart for those poor animals.

I went on Thursday afternoon. Many of the shops were not open. Produce, bakery, meat counters were all open. The best molasses cookies I ever ate. Quick friendly service.

Love the New Castle Farmers Market — lots of variety and great deals. Only issue is the shopping carts are hard to locate. Still a strong 4 stars!

Lee's Produce, In the Farmers Market needs to be investigated for putting out leftover produces not sold from the week prior. I bought a bag of red seedless grapes on last Friday, there's no reason why this bag of grapes should go bad after two days of purchase, none whatsoever. Food is very costly and they've already upped their prices. How dare they do this, I shop there every week, and as consumer we deserve better. This is not the first incident I've had with a purchases there, I noticed recently collard greens being incorporated into turnip green bundles and bad oranges mixed in the already bagged packages. Do better, I've noticed that the Health Department has already shutdown some stands in the Market. So do better Lee's Produces and stop thinking you're getting over on people, especially people who were born and raised in the South and know what vegetable typically should look like. Your prices are high enough for subpar goods!

I love going to get hot dogs from here. We picked up 10 and they are so good on the grill. But we like to have a fire and roast them over it. They come out so good. We picked up some beef sticks too with cheese, delish.

I used to come here once every couple months. But I started coming almost every weekend when I got hooked on some specific items on the Amish market side. I don't want to name them because I worry my one sparkling review alone in a sea of google reviews would drastically shift the demand for my favorites. Call me delusional, but I'M. NOT. TELLING. Just know that I'm happy and I want them all to stay open and in business for the rest of my life.

Everything is so overpriced to be a farmers market -flea market. I can find the same prices at Walmart and the fruits and vegetables are very pricey. I only go here for the breadfruit that is only good sometimes you have to take the risk and the pizza spot is really good.

It's ok. Inside is lots of food. Outside is overpriced flea market stuff.

Have been going here for 35 yrs. Many things have changed, indoor has good food, Amish section is open Thurs morning & afternoon, fri & sat till 8 pm. Outdoor flea market is no longer mostly antiques. Lots of used clothing, toys & sneakers. A few vendors still have vintage & antique items. Sellers on the dirt side mostly change week to week.

Good place to shop with the family. Needs more cleaning. They have hispanic foods. Mini donuts, variety of lemonades. There is also an outdoor flea market.

This place is great! The market is not big but nice to spend a few hours in. Nearly every restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Seating is available in most restaurants and it’s comfortable. We stopped in one of the Mexican restaurants where the service was great and food good. Go visit and try the food. You won’t be disappointed… enjoy!!!

Great place for all your fresh foods. I’ve tried pretty much all the eatery places here. The fresh smoothies are my fave. The fresh pressed juice, the bakery, the seafood (cooked or raw), the warm Pretzels, the freshly made donuts, are all delicious. I have had hand bags and jewelry repaired here. Great place for all your needs. Stop bye and see the cute puppies also.

Love! -Mama Gina Pizza ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best in Nee Castle in my opinion! -Bylers BBQ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Awesome Fried Chicken & Sides! -Both Produce spots(opposite ends) are a great value and always have what I’m looking for! -Flea Market on weekends always has tons of vendors! -Pretzel Factory ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ great prices and fresh pretzels, same quality(but better) as Philly Pretzel Factory chain. I live just down the street so I’m always there for something! Tonight was dinner from Bylers!

We went here for the first time and had a great time here! There's a lot of vendors inside, ranging from restaurants to plant shops to supermarkets to even pet shops!! You can really find almost anything here. It can get quite busy though. But I think it was a great place to visit overall!

When I was moving out to the First State, I happened to find this Farmer's Market among points of interest would visit and maybe frequent. As a quick note, my review will be more on the farmer's market in general as opposed to specific vendors such as Stolzfus' stalls but based on my rating doesn't seem to affect that too much. One important thing to note here is that the New Castle Farmer's Market is part farmer's market with various food stalls and part flea market. That is reflected in some of the permanent vendors inside the market itself as well as various vendors/folk who set up their stalls outside in the parking lot. As the outdoor vendors rotate, you might never know what you'll find. There are also several restaurants inside the farmer's market as well with a wide variety of foods available; sushi, tacos, seafood, a diner and even pizza. If you get hungry, you don't have to leave the farmer's market to find some good food. The farmer's market aspect is covered by two produce stands as well as a seafood counter and meat counter. The seafood prices are very good and they have a nice variety available. They can also prepare your fish as you'd like as well. The two produce stands have very fresh fruits and vegetables though to be honest, I usually prefer going to Lee's over the other as they seem to have better prices though both have great quality. Then there's an entire section of the market devoted to Stolzfus' Amish market including two meat counters (one specifically for poultry and one for lunch meats and everything else). One thing to note though is that this place is HUGE. It's like a small mall and you can get turned around easily. One of the photos I attached is of the layout to hopefully help out. While there is an international food stall inside the market, it mostly focuses on Latino/Caribbean fare. If foreign foods are your thing, the Newark Farmer's Market might be your go-to. If you're looking for Amish fare or eclectic finds, I definitely recommend coming here. The one downside is that they are only open Thursday through Sunday (with the Stolzfus stands closed on Sunday) and that some of the stalls are cash-only. I recommend having some cash on hand, especially if you're wanting pizza (as the pizzeria is cash-only). If you're looking for a farmer's market that's an experience, definitely come to the New Castle Farmer's Market. Even if you don't pick up anything, you will certainly enjoy getting yourself lost inside and finding very interesting things.

Lots of cool things. Lots of people too. Difficult to get around with a bunch of kids but still recommend. The flea market in the parking lot is also top notch.

Came solely for the donuts and I was not disappointed. We went to Mini Donuts and Dutch County Donuts and both were fantastic. Mini Donuts claims it has the freshest donuts in the world and it’s not wrong as you can literally watch the donuts being made in front of you. The vanilla and cinnamon donuts were my favorite. Dutch County Donuts has a wide array of donuts, most of them filled. Their filled donuts are delectable with even filling throughout and airy dough. Also both places have great prices. A must go to for all donut lovers!

I'm here every other week for the fresh wild caught seafood, the veggie stand and the Amish market. I also love the spot where I can get my West Indian products that I've yet to find anywhere else in DE. Everything is very well priced.

Farmers market is one place to go for all the meat and poultry needs. It's great and can get a good deal with fresh fish, prawns, oysters, crab, alligator flesh and in affordable price. The meat is very fresh and clean and can be brought according to our needs. Beef, pork and chicken and good. Vegetables, fruits are also available. There are good food courts here. Some toys shop, Soveneir etc are also available. Complete shopping experience. Typically wait is there for the fish market. Otherwise overall a good place.

Was recommended by a neighbor to visit this farmers market and I’m glad I did! Came here on Friday 9/7/18 in the evening. This place has an AMAZING selection of produce, hot food, and stores. My partner had the mini donuts and said they were the best donuts he’s ever eaten! They make them right in front of you on the cutest little fryer conveyor belt! It’s mesmerizing to watch. :) I love that as a vegan they have the Indian “Masala Kitchen” chain inside here. I have been to the one in Wilmington and the food there was delicious. There is also a juice bar and they offered salads and fruit as well if you’re looking for something healthier. There was a place called “Mama Gina’s” with lots of selections of pizza slices and they looked really good. There is Mexican food, a soul food hot bar, a clam bar, fresh seafood for sale, noodles, and a cheesesteak and sausage dog eatery. There were so many hot food options that I can not fit it all in this review but did include many attached photos. I loved the prices as well. The prices seemed reasonable for the quality and that it’s a farmers market. As far as other items sold here, to name just a few: books store with used books (it seemed to have a large selection of books with series or magazines, I was missing the psychology and self help books), kimonos and Asian clothing, pet store (they sold dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.) but I do wish they’d put those poor animals in a large pen area instead of small cages, a tailor shop, a video game store that sold controllers, older game systems, and used games, and store that sold household items, office supplies, deodorant, etc. (like a knockoff more affordable version of Walgreens. There were many more stores here. I give this place a 5/5. I was impressed and it took at least good hour to get around to every place. We plan on returning soon and during the DAYTIME this time so that we can see all the outside vendors we missed. Totally recommend for all ages. ***Photos attached, showing just a “glimpse” of all that New Castle Farmer’s market has to offer!
