Ok service, but SO SO SLOW!!!!
I arrived at 9:00 for my appt, with no one else in front of me other than one car actively being serviced with new tires. My car was finally pulled in at 10:00, it then took another hour and 40 minutes to install 4 new tires on a civic. So with an appointment in the morning, it took 2 hours, 40 minutes. It’s incomprehensible to imagine “working” as slow as they were.
Worst Walmart service center I ever been to, stay clear and just Don’t go to this one…
Staff not present, booked appointment was not honored after taking 20 min to check in and then another 30 min later be told they can’t even touch your car, with no notion of being able to pencil it in for the following day. Only option was to rebook for weeks out or waste even more time as a walk in even though you had booked a previous appointment
I order 4 new tires from Walmart. They canceled my installation on my tires, Tuesday, until next week Friday.
When i got there, nobody showed up for work at 7am in the morning. They told me to come back at noon. When i got back at noon, their lift could not lift up a stock 2017 Toyota tacoma, so they canceled me again. I need to find another shop to install my tires.
Wasted 2 days and 6 hours of waiting to tell me find another tire shop.
Very disappointed with how this Walmart is run. The tire shop employees clearly don’t want to do their jobs. They refused to service my car for no valid reason — just because they didn’t feel like working. The work ethic there is awful.
They made me book the appointment a week in advance and had plenty of time to check the make and model, yet still came up with a weak excuse on the day of the service. Then I got an email saying my appointment was canceled because I “didn’t show up on time,” which is completely false — they just can’t select “refused to service customer” in the system.
The guy at the counter was respectful and tried to help, but the mechanics? Totally unprofessional. Terrible experience overall — this location needs serious management attention.
Recently got four new tires from here, Melissa and Lavelle were awesome. Very helpful, I had gone elsewhere first and was very frustrated when I got to them, but they got me set up with what I needed and got my car set. Definitely recommend them for tires with a lack of headache.
Do not waste your time going here! They have no respect for time and poor work ethics. They don't pick up calls.
My pumped tire would be flat within 5 days at most, took it to them and they said my tires were worn out and needed to replace all 4. I paid over 200$ for the new 4 tires and was scheduled for another day to come replace the old ones.
I was rescheduled 4 diferent times, this went on for over a month. Finally one morning, I woke up and they had refunded my money with no explanation.
I went to a place called zee used and new tires on the pulaski hwy...was charged just 30$ for a puncture on just one tire. Was there for less than 20 minutes. And my tires are good now...no issues.
Took 5 times of them rescheduling to accually get my tires. They forgot one and had to restart. The process took over 2.5 hours. They lost my recipe and couldnt print me another out. They took some lug nuts from a new set I needed to return that was in the car. So now I cant return them. They also do know how to properly balance the tires and I have the largest weights on three areas of the tires. They damaged the paint on my rims and over charged me at check out. Will never use them again.
Scary,put 2 of 4 of my sons tires on backwards! I had to ask him are these tires directional? he said ,no! So I pointed out, I just had the same tires put on my Acura and they were directional. He had to remount 2 tires that he put on backwards on my sons mustang . But tire prices at Walmart can't be beat!
It's most convenient by appointment, by an hour, what's missing is they don't check tire pressure and add on air where necessary and they have a tire center right there.
Got a great set of tires for a good price be patient if you don't need tires immediately and wait for a good sale you can potentially get a great set of tires for a really low price
I am new to the Newark Delaware community. I am in need of a oil change. I have used the Walnart Auto Center in Texas, and was always satified with their Custmer Service, Auto Service and Timely work. I am looking forward to taking my vehicle to the New Castle Delaware Walmart Auto Center for the first time.
I have been told that they don't have my tires. After an hour's wait and my repeated pestering and asking for a manager, they said they could find it in a trailer. I had to wait over an hour after my appointment time(1hr) to get it done. So to change a tire, be prepared to wait for at least 2 hours. While constantly requesting for the updates be sure to waste your time. Appointment time don't mean anything, just wait and get it done if you have the patience or get lost and reschedule. You can never see the manager or anyone else for any help or even response except the guy at the shop.
I brought my car in for an oil change despite having had bad experiences at this location before—and this time, they crashed my car. They refused to file an incident report and instead blamed the damage on me.
The team coach, Tyler, was extremely rude. When I asked him to file a complaint, he said—and I quote—“You must have brought the car like that.” When I asked, “Are you going to file a complaint or apologize?” he responded, “I have nothing to apologize for.”
When I requested to speak to the manager, he said, “I am the manager.” Rather than take accountability for what happened, he protected and enabled the staff involved. He ultimately asked me to leave, saying there was nothing they could do today.
I had to call both the police and Walmart’s corporate office just to try and have a report filed.
Walmart was the best price for my size 20 run flat tires. I got it delivered there and installed for $18 per tire— can’t beat that! and you get to shop while you wait — if you want to. They also have a lobby for the auto center. I would recommend their service
Had to make an appointment online--3 days out...Online doesn't list many of the offered services. Had to schedule for tire change when just needed a covered rotation.
I went to put 4 new tires on my Honda CR-V. 1ST the spanish guy broke my wheel stud from driver side...2nd I told them I need my back spare tire change and if I didn't check my truck I would of left with a flat on my spare tire.....So now i feel my truck driving funny so when I had it check 2 of my tires are loose...Won't recommend there tire service not safe....They never answer the phone either....
Starting in 2025. I'll be calling out businesses for their profiling of minorities and their lackadaisical work effort. Starting here... I went in to get new tires. Four to be exact. I did give them a two because they were able to get me in very quickly... But the work ethic stinks... I'm sure they received their commission... So, I asked the tech if they would be checking the TPMS because the light was on. They didn't check the TPMS because the light is still on... They didn't change the valve stems. It doesn't take a genius to notice that they're the same ones. You charged me for four new tires, including installation and road hazard yet you didn't give me the things that were supposed to be completed. And then the computers just happened to be down so... Where's my invoice for the work completed?
Came early, got my oil changed in less than an hour. The staff were polite, the guy who checked me in looked in the back thoroughly to make sure they had the filter for my Volvo, instead of just acting like he'd check. Over all a convenient and chill experience, I'll be back for my next oil change at this location, and for my tires as well. This Walmart is one of the better ones!
We all know how absolutely frustrating walmart can be to shop at, let alone the customer service desk.
HOWEVER, after making a large purchase that I had an issue with, there was only one store associate (team lead, olivia) who was able to solve my issue. 5 phone calls and several trips to 3 stores, wasting my time, fuel and frustration. She saved the day and really made an impact. She wad happy to help, and knew her Job well. She made all the difference. Store # 2555 delaware
If I could give it no stars I would. Walmart should be ashamed at the employees that work there, My experience was horrible. I ordered tires to be delivered and installed, only to be told that their machine doesn't fit 22 inch tires. I decided to go else where and tried to take my tires that were already paid for. It took 2 hrs to find a manager to sign off because they were in a meeting and no one was available. As a grew frustrated an employee started mumbling to the point where i had to approach him in an aggressive way. I don't want to do that but this is par for the course at this particular Walmart. Walmart should be ashamed and embarrassed!
Waited 2.5 hours past appointment time. Someone else had the same apt time and waited even longer. No explanation or estimation of wait time given. Just told ‘not enough qualified staff’ - then don’t fill up appointments then? Other people had complaints with various other services as while during my extended wait time.
Even still took 45 minutes for the tire change once my car was jacked up. Crazy.
Never use Walmarts install service!
I gave them the key and went for a walk around the store. They texted me when the car was checked in, and when it was done and ready for pick up.
Great service and reasonable price
The lady in the front, Linda, was so sweet! I needed all four of my tires replaced and was expecting to be here for hours. They got it done in one hour flat, wasn’t expecting that at all. Very professional service. Thank you!
I got a great deal on tires, the service is what you would expect, I think it was about two hours to get my tires installed from what I ordered online. They’re certainly understaffed. You’ll be dealing with people who are just starting out in their automotive career. Don’t expect a lot, they can put on inexpensive tires slowly, and that’s life. I got a crazy good deal on my tires, took an hour longer than I planned for my appointment, it is life. There is an Applebees there. Drop off and get food is my advice.
I visited them twice for tire installation since I got a email that my ordered tires had been delivered to this auto center because they did not provide tire installation service at 4:30 on Thursday even though they had noticed me that their working hours 7am to 7pm Mon. to Fri. on the email. The staff told me to come again next morning 9am. In the 2nd visit, I arrived at 9am. The staff told me that I should wait for 3 hours to install my tires. I gave up to install at their auto center. Their service level is too poor.
