Great place to take your scrap. We had a lot so needed several collections, and having not dealt in scrap before, Rebecca was brilliant and took care of everything. Having shopped around, prices were great as well, and everything was dealt with quickly and attentively. Will always use Rebecca and EMR from now on.
EMR recycling in New Castle used to be the best recycling place in the county to go to now they’re just like every other recycle company. They wanna beat the shit out of the customer so they can make more money. I understand the difference between number one and number two it used to be before number two is anything that had brazen rod on it or solder or any of that so I made sure I cut all my joints out Now they won’t even take number one if it’s got a little bit of dirt on it because it’s been inside of insulation that is straight bullshit. I will never come to EMR again and neither should you.
Rebecca really turned this place around she talks to us gives us water when it's hot out she cleaned the yard up. It looks great, she does a lot to make the customers lives easier.I have won 120$ coming to the yard too!!!

I don't scrap much. When I dropped off an old out door ac unit and heater it would have been nice for the guy to tell me to maybe hold on to and a bring it back in pieces for more money. Then after I off loaded them another customer came up from behind me and took it out of the yard and said "thanks for the $100" to me. Otherwise it was an easy place to go through. The employees at the drop off bays were nice and were surprised to hear someone taking stuff out of the yard.
I only scrap here. The place is clean the employees are helpful. Rebecca always answers my calls when I have questions and it has helped me make the most out of my scrap. Thanks Becca!
This yard is my first and only choice to sell my scrap. the yard is very clean the staff are helpful and the manager Rebecca is always responsive when I call or text her with questions. I would give 10 stars if I had the option.
First time there today. Saw the great reviews on line and figured I'd check it out. They did not disappoint, Rebecca was great to talk to and very welcoming. Staff great as well, definitely gonna be my go to for any scrap.

Great place to scrap and the workers teach you how to make money. Rebecca is polite and helpful with prices. I never get a flat tire here and they pay better than the other yards. This is still the best yard around!
The best yard I go to. Chad is great always nice to talk to. Chad never makes me wait more then a minute or so im in and out very quickly with ZERO problems. Rebecca is fantastic I've seen her offer water and always has a smile on her face. I've never seen her be anything shy of respectful and fantastic towards everyone. The best hands down.
I go to drop off scrap with my boyfriend and we drive almost an hour now since we moved but it's still worth the trip.The prices are great and you're in and out every time. Matt is always the best and gives my boyfriend tips every time we're there.
Always a pleasure to go there, sure, sometimes its busy and you have to wait, but that's because they always have the best prices. The owner is very cool, and the boys at the tables are very honest and helpful. Never had a complaint., Until now. Things are changing, the staff has all changed, and with the exception of one, customer service has gone down, mistakes have been made at the scales and the customer is left feeling that he is at fault, they're closing earlier and earlier and tensions are high at the end of the day. With prices up you'd expect everyone to be happy but that's not the case, they've implemented stricter rules while at the pile which only seem to get enforced selectively, don't get me wrong, it's still the best scrap yard in the area, and I wouldn't go anywhere else, but it just isn't like it used to be, where it seems that everybody enjoyed working there and there was a sense of family I guess you could say. One positive thing that has not changed is the honesty, there's not one person there that would knowingly cheat you.
Was there 10/13 the best prices, I weight everything I bring, scales are the same as what mine weight. Was very impressed with that. Matt assisted me unloading. Lot is always clean, two thumbs up!!!
Top tier operation. I went to drop off about 1 ton of material and Chad and Matt were very helpful with telling me what goes where and getting me taken care of. Been going here for awhile and Gabe at the scales is awesome. Great customer service and great rates. I drive over an hour just to go here just because I know im getting great service and great rates. Gabe really goes above and beyond to help you and will always bring my business here
Prices were quite fair. Even though they were having technical issues with one of their scales, everything still ran smoothly and quickly. And the staff were friendly.
This place is great super friendly staff and they pay the most for your Scrap Metal. Stop playing with the little Metal Recycling Centers that only under pay you for your metal. Top dollar paid and a very knowledgeable staff. I would give them 100 stars if I could.
Junked my old family van. It was still running.
The auto salvage guys were offering me $200 to pick it up at my house. By driving it to EMR I got double that $400, Note- it had original aluminum rims & spare with aluminum and was a heavy vehicle..
I had no line at 3pm, staff guys were courteous and friendly, also dropped off an old a/c. Great 👍 place to deal with,, Be advised if you drive your vehicle to drop off metal there’s a lot of things that could cause you to get a flat..
Best scrap yard in Delaware! Yard guys are super helpful, I never spend more than 15min in there either, other yards always have a long wait. That's why I ONLY use EMR!! 👍
I've been going to these guys for years they're honest, they pay decent, n the yards always pretty clean. Also, employees are nice and always very helpful
I went today and I feel I got under priced for the data copper I've already brought there three times and have been paid 85 cents per pound. Today I go and they only give 20 cents per pound and tell me there's too much steel in it. When what I was turning in was a 900 pair Tele communication wire. I feel I got short about 100$. Don't think I'll be coming back with anymore of my scrap.
This place use to be ok. They will hire anyone. You go to the tables, and they have inappropriate (love making) music blaring! The one guy was actually working helping a customer with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I'm a smoker, but that is so rude, and VERY unprofessional.
Before I would have given this place 10 stars if I could. Most of the time it's in and out. The guy on the scale ROCKS! Unfortunately now you wait at least 30 minutes at the tables. Most of the time it's 30 minutes for a spot, and then an additional 30 minutes to get taken care of.
