Car was not starting, I called Anthony and he came very quickly to tow me back to my house. He checked the battery and it was just loose. He fixed it for me and the car started again. It was a simple fix but I didn’t know how to do it and Anthony did. So it is what it is. He was fast efficient and very nice. If you are stuck in the Newark/new castle area give him a call.
Anthony took care of me in a pinch. Brakes went out on my truck, he answered the phone immediately and got my truck fixed in <24hrs. He was honest, communicative, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend him for your car repair and towing needs.
I was stuck on the side of the road and the 1st person I found on Google for towing was Anthony...he got to me with in 20 mins...towed me to his shop where I then found out that my motor was blown. Anthony went above and beyond to find a good engine for replacement...replaced my engine...water pump...& timing chain kit...this was far from easy work for Anthony due to issues out of his control with one of the most substandard Chevy engines ever made. Madusa (name of my truck) now runs like a dream...quiet and running way better then she was before she blew up. I can't thank you enough. Great customer service...honest...& reliable.
Exceptional Service During a Tough Situation
I had an unexpected car breakdown late at night with my kids far from home, and Anthony came through in a big way. Not only did he respond quickly to tow us, but he also went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, making sure we were taken care of every step of the way. Throughout the process, he was transparent, explaining exactly what needed to be done for the repairs. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely helpful and professional. I highly recommend Anthony to anyone in need of reliable, honest automotive service. You won’t find better!
My tire was hissing one night and there weren't a lot of shops still open. I called Anthony and he said if I could make it to come right away. He was about to go home but stayed open to help me. I watched him pull a boxcutter blade out of my tire and plug it. I was very grateful that he stayed open to help me, and that the tire was able to be repaired. He and his team and family were very kind. I thought his pricing was fair and the level of service was great. I'd definitely go to him again for repairs!
I have done business with Anthony's for over 15 years. He has a well established Automotive shop as well as Towing. His work ethics are A+. I highly recommend their work.
Ps. Unfortunately there is more than 1 place called Anthony's and some people mistakenly confuse the shops. I challenge Mr. Kevin Friel to double check the business address and compare them with the shop that he had a bad experience with. I'm willing to bet that he accidentally left a bad review of the wrong shop.
Awesome service from an amazing mechanic. Was able to take care of me on a Friday afternoon with a full diagnostic on an engine misfire and knock code. I needed the car fixed and done so quickly at that. Not only was he able to figure out the real issue but he was honest with what wasn’t needed and I was back on the road within an hour or two.
Since I always try to take care of my car maintenance myself (unless it’s engine related,) I always cringe at paying someone else for service. This time was unique though… I was presented with a fair price quote and all charges were explained thoroughly and agreed upon prior to any work being completed. In a world of scumbag business practices, it’s a blessing to find a real one.
I give my highest of recommendations for anyone looking for a no BS experience when having your car serviced! Thanks and see you next time my man!

Phenomenal service, and very accommodating! Anthony came in to look at my breaks on a day when he technically was not working and made it a priority to get them fixed prior to a trip out of town. My breaks were giving me problems due to someone else’s shoddy work, and Anthony showed me exactly what was wrong and how he was fixing it every step of the way. I hope to not need to return any time soon, but I’d go back in a heartbeat if necessary and have recommend him to friends.
**long post alert** Let me just say this post is overdue and that Anthony is HEAVEN SENT. Last Sunday I was omw to Maryland for school orientation (I'll be an incoming PA student this fall) from NJ. I decided to drive my mom's car which never had any major issues. However, during my trip the car began to decelerate on the highway! I wasn't sure why because Idk cars. So I called my parents lol remind you I'm 2 hours from my destination & 2 hrs from home (NJ).
While trying to figure out what to do, my mom & cousin (back home) googled mechanics near me; this was tough since majority were closed on Sundays. I called 5 mechanics before finally reaching someone who could potentially help (Anthony). I briefly explained to him what the guys at AutoZone told me (which wasn't much help) & what the car was doing on my end. He said, "look I can't make you any promises, but if you come now I'll take a look." I was beyond happy and made the struggle to get to Anthony's which was less than a 5min drive (remind you the car continuously decelerated en route).
I almost hugged him once I saw his face because he immediately smiled and said "you just called didn't you?" and we both laughed. Like he said on the phone, he took a look and immediately knew the issue - my throttle body. He connected his computer, checked under the hood and even took the time to educate me on the purpose for a throttle body & why I needed a new one. Anthony knew I needed a new one but didn't have any in his possession. After venting to him the trip I had so far driving alone and trying to make it to school on time, this man did more than I could ever ask for. He called 3 AutoZones to look for the part.
After finally reaching someone he told the manager to place it on hold and that he'd pick it up right away. Long story short (but not really lol), Anthony picked up the throttle body, installed it and made sure the car was good to go!!!! I can't thank you enough Anthony! You not only saved the day, but my future sort of speak. If I didn't make it to school by Monday morning, I probably would've lost my seat in the Physician Assistant Program. I believe everything happens for a reason; a 4 hr trip that turned into 7 lol wasn't my choice but I'd like to think it was a sign to show me that PA school is going to be a brutal, but it's nothing I can't handle and that there's nothing wrong with seeking help if needed. Moral of the story: if you ever have any car troubles, GO TO ANTHONY'S. Don't walk - RUN! Both my parents and I can't thank you enough!!!
I work in a shop near by Anthony's. I needed Anthony's help with a broken bracket from a job I was doing. He fixed it for me perfectly and quickly. It is also pretty cool hearing the cars he works on running on the dyno.
Anthony is the best - I got a flat tire a few miles away and he came to his shop at midnight to help. Was back on the road in no time. Excellent service, quick responsiveness, 10/10. He’s the man
