If I could leave zero stars I would. This is the worst trash company in the western hemisphere. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT give these people any more business! Our trash hasn’t been picked up in over a month. It’s literally piled up and it’s truly embarrassing because we’re the only house on my street who’s trash hasn’t been picked up. They lie they apologize, and they lie again. Their prices just keep going up and all they have to offer is a six dollar credit??? And after doing the math that’s not even enough for the amount of times they have missed our pick ups. There’s no supervisors around to speak to and they honestly don’t care. I don’t understand how this place is even still around. We’re switching as soon as the 3 months I’ve paid for are concluded.
I cancelled my service with Republic on Aug. 28th of 2025 after 30 years. I was told they would pick up cans on Sept. 5th called then the 12th called then 17th called then23rd called then 25th called then 29th. I don't know what to do. I'm told there is nọ one to speak to. Please do not use Republic Services they service is horriable.
Republic Services charges $30 per trash bin to deliver or remove then. Then on top of that they charge gas and administration fees. Not the best value for your dollar. I wouldn't recommend this service.
Service wasn't bad, but their rates are truly criminal. I’ve been paying around $237 every 3 months (trash & recycling pick up every week which they force) for years now. My mistake as I should have looked into a different company sooner. I called Casella last week & they quoted me $87 every three months (trash pick up once a week, recycling every other which is all I need). My jaw dropped & I called Republic immediately and cancelled. Do not recommend.
They charge their customers $40 per container to drop off to start services and $30 per container to pick up when ending services. That's crazy enough! But then they raised their prices by $30. They are not consistent with my neighbors and what they are charged vs me. There should be NO difference from my neighbor to my own services and how much we are being charged as we are all getting the same service. So instead I have went with Blue Hen who doesn't charge for dropping off the containers and has a more competitive pricing which they state they maintain as long as they can. These guys are $40 more expensive per quarter than them. No thanks! As a single mom I rarely put out my trash so it is definitely not worth it.
I couldn't be any more disappointed with this company at this point. We have Republic at home and have never had as much of a problem as we have had in the last 3 weeks. We just ordered service for our very easily accessed business and have yet to receive our trash can. I have tried calling, emailing, and calling again and every conversation ends with useless apologies and promises of a drop off that have yet to happen. It's unfortunate the company is so incompetent since their customer service reps are extremely nice. I would literally choose any other trash company besides Republic at this point.
The worst thing about all of this is that I can't even just come pick a trash can up and bring it to my business... Apparently that is "just not possible".
