I am writing to share my positive experience at your store located at 19486 Van Buren Blvd in Riverside. I recently needed a replacement 12v battery for my Sonata Hybrid and specifically required installation. After discovering that many other merchants do not provide installation services for this specific model, I was pleased to find that your team not only had the battery at a competitive price but was also willing to install it as a courtesy. I truly appreciate the excellent customer service and the convenience provided by your staff members Roger, Ben, and Joshua Luke. While Roger and Ben took care of the sale, Joshua was extremely helpful in getting the battery installed. I had to tow my car to the store, and Joshua jumped into action like a paramedic. He gloved up and brought his tool kit and the battery out immediately. It was about 7 pm and dark with very little lighting to work by. Since my car was dead, there was no power to open the trunk where the hybrid battery is located. Without any hesitation, Joshua used a jumper kit to open the trunk so we could access the battery. He had all the right tools to remove the old battery and install the new one in less than 10 minutes, despite the challenging lighting and difficult access to the bolts. Not once during the process did he complain or seem frustrated. Instead, he was very pleasant and talked about how he loved helping customers. Based on my own experience in retail sales and service, I can tell that Joshua genuinely cares about his work. He is such an asset to AutoZone, and it is folks like him who make shopping at your store such a pleasant and memorable experience. Thank you for the great experience Joshua. Al

Update: just shop on Amazon for fewer headaches than coming here. *** I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this AutoZone location. Despite a store full of customers, only one employee was working, resulting in lengthy wait times. When I finally received assistance, the service was dismissive and unhelpful. While I understand staffing challenges can occur, this seems to be an ongoing issue. Save yourself the hassle and order from Amazon instead.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

I have been going to this store for years, every time I go I am greeted with kindness and respected only by Romona other employees have no idea what they are doing, hide in the back to avoid dealing with costumers, and are just lazy in general. Romona is the most hardest working person in the whole entire company.Without her that store would go up into flames. She never deserves the disrespect and stress by the company, other employees, and especially from the costumers. To whoever thinks that the managers there are lazy, never judge them because you don’t know them and don’t know what they have to deal with working for this company.This company should value Ramona a lot more.

Bad service they put you on hold for a long them and not professional

Only one cashier working, other 4 employees were just taking waited 5 minutes someone to ring me up but they were busy in conversation left without burying

The staff helped me get the reading for my check engine light. Didn't take long at all...

Went in to get some light bulbs and really had to use a bathroom. Three employees were blocking the way to the bathroom. Asked if I can use the bathroom and was told that "it's for employees only". Prior to the Armageddon bathrooms were available for everyone. Oh, well! No problem. Used a bathroom at Carl's Jr. and ordered my items on Amazon. Don't pass on opportunity for a better treatment as a customer. Amazon Prime totally worth it. With membership you get your items same or next day. Prices are much more affordable than at these brick and mortar stores and if you are on Medical/Medicare/CalFresh you get a discount on your membership cost. ♥️♥️♥️

Amanda helped with testing and then selecting a new battery for my elderly mother's SUV. She also took care of installing it for me! I have trouble lifting heavy things like batteries due to health issues. She took care of me and was very kind.

I bought a sun shield for my car, I was told I can return it anytime at any auto zone and I tried to return it at this place but they wouldn't help me at all. When I first bought it they asked me for my AZ account phone number and I would have thought they linked the sale on my account, so I didn't care about saving the receipt but surprisingly when I came to the store and try to get reimbursement cause the item didn't fit my car's windshield size they told me I can't get a refund unless I had the receipt, I tried my best to persuade them to get me the refund for something I was returning but instead they were rude and didn't help me or reimburse me, I ended up telling them I didn't need the product and I was just going to leave the product with them and walked away and they didn't care. It wasn't even expensive (about 18 dollars) my problem is they just didn't help with a simple return. I did leave the product at the store ( since I don't have a way to use it and don't need to have it occupying useless space in my car or home) so thanks autozone for being NOT HELPFUL ON AN EASY AND SIMPLE RETURN

Went to AZ to test my daughter's truck battery. Tony, the manager, tested the battery three different ways. The battery continued to test "good". After explaining what was happening with my daughter's truck, Tony swapped out the battery anyway. I installed the new battery, and her truck started right up. Thank you Tony and AZ for honoring your products and making this an easy process.

Noah is an amazing store manager! I came in for a battery for my truck. He got me squared away and even replaced it for me! Noah is friendly, knowledgeable, and I highly recommend he be recognized for his dedication to customers.

Noah was so helpful!! I thought I bought the wrong head light bulb, he exchanged it. Then couldn’t get it in, so he helped me with that. Only to go home and realize my light was still out, turns out I originally had the right bulb and was switching out the wrong light ? (my fault!) he came outside and helped me replace it. Much appreciated thank you so much Noah!!!

The staff was friendly and helpful today. I had to go there 3 times as my husband was working on my car. They were great everytime. Thanks!!

I went this morning to purchase some motor oil. While in line I observed the manager interact with an Asian older customer. English was not his Forte ( custumer) ,however I could understand it enough to understand his request. However the manager( Noah) who was at the register stared at him with a condescending look and continued to just grin as the man tried to explain the confusion. All the manager was doing was talking to him like he was dumb. Then after it was finally resolved he said outlook for another staff member to help with the lines. A phone call came in and it was someone inquiring about if they were hiring while continuing with his condescending attitude very loudly said while looking as his 2 employees " yup we are always hiring and firing" obviously making the two employees feel pressured by his power . I found it to be a very uncomfortable place as a custumer by just observing what a manager is doing to clients and employees.

Bought a mother's clay bar kit. It was opened and the clay bar was taken out. Awesome! Update 6/10/23 Today I came back here to return a core. A starter, the screws were out of it as I needed to check if it was still good, the clerk Noah, a manager, told me I would not get my core money back because it was taken apart. So I put it together. During that time period, there were 7 associates in the store, but only 2 at the register while 6 customers waited in line. Pretty absurd. Minus another star..

This store has some very nice staff members. However, Ramona is a character in the midst. On every visit this individual gives the impression of someone that possesses deep cultural prejudice. Whatever her cynicism is it doesn’t go unnoticed. The person that is shopping isn’t responsible for negative her life experiences or neither should be targeted with bias.

I had enough time to eat my lunch and watch multiple customers go in and out when the lady said that she was going to finish up with a customer before she helps me and about 15 minutes of watching customers entering and exiting and she couldn't answer a phone call for half an hour I don't know who's in charge of management or what but this is pretty unacceptable this is why I'm not going to go back to AutoZone anymore

Great service, very nice people work there they always have what I need.

First thing comes into my mind is: This Autozone price is different, more expensive, than other Autozones. Why? The secondly, I purchsed a can of primer but, it didn't really sprayed well. Next, staff members are not trained well. Some staffs are asked me my reward card number and some are not while at the counter to pay for my purchases. Finally, they don't stock well. So oftentimes, I cannot get what I want. If I have more time, I go to the O'Ralley"s down the road for better choices and services.

The friendly staff of auto zone always had a smile and helped me threw my tuning journey of Audi successes but mostly failures, when I broke it the were there with the part I needed to fix it....until I would break it again.

This place has been really awesome all the managers like Ramona and workers like Ray, Cynthia, Julian, and all the rest have been amazing helping me allowing me to work on my car without bother or stress allowing me to use the bathroom even when they're clogged was it my fault though it was called before I got there I just didn't know it anyways on top of that Ray an awesome guy bought me hose clamps and fuel line to help Me out. It's been a long journey but I really am thankful to all the employees here would recommend this AutoZone to anyone they all went above and beyond

The staff was extremely helpful! We could not find our warranty information and they went above and beyond, using every way possible to locate it. We did not feel rushed, or feel like we were a hindrance. The staff is knowledgeable, we will definitely be going back regularly!

Friendly staff and they honor their warranties without hassle as long as you have your receipt. However neither of the employees working when I last visited this store knew how to correctly use the battery tester. They were only measuring the voltage instead of doing a load test. But they gave me new battery to replace the 1 year old one that had died so I can't complain too much.
