I’m Richard Curran, and this review is about how my son, Richard Jr., was treated at this shop. He dropped off his golf cart over a month ago after being told the work would take only a couple of weeks. When the shop finally called and said it was ready, they tried to charge him $1,000 more than the original quoted price.
When my son refused to pay the extra amount, things escalated. Jonathan, one of the owners, cussed him out and got aggressive—as if he wanted to fight—despite my son remaining calm and never raising his voice. Jonathan falsely claimed my son had been loud earlier, which was not true. Jonathan’s brother, Kyle, then got on the phone and continued the same way—yelling and swearing instead of handling the situation professionally.
At one point, they even threatened to leave the golf cart outside their gate. It was only after my son said he would be coming with the police that they finally agreed to release it and apologized—but only after several more minutes of insults, profanity, and excuses about how much time they had supposedly spent on the cart.
No customer—my son included—should ever have to deal with this. Quotes should be honored, repairs should be documented in writing, and customers should be treated with respect. Instead, this shop relied on intimidation, surprise charges, and unprofessional behavior. I would strongly caution anyone against doing business here.

Then Jonathan’s brother, Casey, got involved and continued the same unprofessional behavior, swearing and yelling over the phone instead of working toward a solution.
At one point they even threatened to just leave the golf cart outside their gate. It wasn’t until my brother said he’d be showing up with the police that they finally agreed to release the cart and gave a half-hearted apology. By then, the damage had already been done with the way they treated him.
Customers deserve respect and honesty—not intimidation, threats, or surprise charges. Prices should be honored as quoted, and repairs should be put in writing so there’s no guessing game when you’re called to pick up your vehicle. Unfortunately, this shop chose the opposite approach.
Had some upgrades done. Very Happy with how quick the work was finished and the Quality, another very satisfied customer, did everything I asked for, for a reasonable price! Picked the cart up and delivered it back with new tires, a little truck bed for our ranch. Fixed the brakes and did a general make over. Very Happy. Great people! Thanks Jon and Kyle!!!
I pulled in to Golf Cars of Riverside and parked in the handicap spot. As I started to limp into the office, Carl came out of the building and asked if he could help me. I got back in my car, and Carl proceeded to handle my complete transaction while I waited there. His thoughtfulness and consideration was greatly appreciated.
I took my ezgo in and asked to get it running fuel pump and oil leaks. They did a great job. Timing belt broke the day after getting it back. Had to take it back for a second time but they replaced the belt the same day for no charge. Thank you
Terrible customer service and extremely rude. Had three of my carts serviced from this place not even a year ago, all of which cost upwards of 6k, 2 of which now don't work. They were 2 weeks out before a diagnostic and when asked if they could put eyes on it real quick, the reply was "are you to pay me - it's not my problem!"
They are very knowledgeable. I went in to buy front and rear shocks, and batteries for my fleet of 50 carts but instead of being sold something that may not work and taking my cash he suggested I find out what year my carts were first. Good idea. After taking his advice I went ahead and Amazoned a bunch of shocks and batteries and they worked! Honest John's man. Love it.
AMAZING service!!! Kyle was abolutely OUTSTANDING when I needed 2 tire valves replaced! This place will definitely be my go-to-everthing when it comes to my beloved Club Car !
I am currently searching for a cart. Called them to see if they have used ones. They are bit out of my price range but the guy that answered the phone was very friendly and gave me some great advice. If I did have the money for good running cart like they carry, I would buy one from them.
I needed some tires mounted for my 3 wheel Harley Davidson golf cart, and Kyle was very helpful at getting it done at a good price. The staff are friendly and professional and the place is spotless.
I bought my Carryall 2 from them 10 years ago. Every time I have an issue with my cart they are always right there. They pick it up, fix it and deliver it back to me. Golf cars of Riverside takes GREAT care of me!!
Always have wat I need if they don't they will get it oh except club car hub caps haha inside joke . The staff is awesome family run business for over 40 yrs you can't go wrong just ask for Kyle or Johnathan .
I called a couple of other service and parts providers and received no response. I called Golf Cars of Riverside and they answered on the first ring. They had all the items I needed! The staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. The only critique would be that the staff needs to wear their masks! Even if you don't believe in the masks, wear it to make sure your customers feel comfortable and somewhat protected.
This all started in January when I brought my cart in for service. I brought my cart there based on the reviews, little did I know that there service has changed since then. The cart was inspected, a figure was given, and I accepted the amount. When the cart was ready and I went to pick it up the cost was now $600 more than agreed! When I questioned them on it they told me they were sorry but there was an error in the math. So since this was not the amount I agreed to we negotiated the price down a bit. I gave him the card, he charged me the full price which I did not notice until later and I had to drive back down to there to get them to credit the difference back to my card. My cart was now a 48 volt and I had a new 36 volt charger. I asked if they would trade my new charger for some seat covers and they agreed. So I left my new charger and they told me they would be in the next week. Well the next week came and went with no call from the shop. I called them to find out where the covers were and they told me there was an issue with the order. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but after 3 months of numerous calls and numerous excuses I told them I have heard enough excuses and either get me the seat covers or give me back the charger. The managers response was to hang up on me. I called back and told him I will pick up my charger. I have never experienced such bad customer service from a business before and I would strongly suggest you do not use this business at all costs. Consumer beware of this place!
This is a really great shop with really great people. Stopped in to ask questions about the issue I was having with my cart and had two different employees stop what they were doing right in the middle of it to make sure I was taking care of. That's what I call service.
