Went in for brake and light (safety) inspection. On the phone, i was told it will take about an hour. Two hours later, the technician told me my 2011 toyota failed. He proceeded to offer help to clear issues amounting to over $1000. ....A simple issue of bulb not working due to plug connection was being quoted $70.
To my delight, I took my car to a different place, and I passed the safety inspection without being asked to 'pay extra' for the car to pass.
Not honest in my opinion.
Very happy with the service I received. I made an appointment for an alignment and they not only did an alignment they also provided a detailed list of recommended repairs with pictures. Highly recommend.

After having problems with other shops years ago I decided to use this shop as a last resort before selling my car. They took care of me and ever since then I've been recommending them to friends and family and they have all been taken cared of.
I went in for a Brake and Light inspection and in less than an hour they had my truck ready to go and even replaced a bulb free of charge during the inspection. I would highly recommend them. The staff was friendly and willing to assist me with any questions I had.
I always go to this business for all my car smog. They are honest, and efficient. The service is very friendly and they take care of the job promptly. I also have used them in the past for a catalytic converter installation, their prices are fair and they don't take advantage of customers like other places.

Worse experience ever . Got a car inspection charge me $50.00 then told me inspection didn’t pass because the window was cracked keep in mind he know the whole time and offer to replace it for $650.00
I needed to have my Ford Taurus X Limited inspected for a brake and lamp certificate so DMV could issue my salvage title. I went here to Riverside smog and auto repair and I was assisted immediately. I told the gentleman what I needed he told me how much it would be and how long it would take. I had no appointment. They got started right away on my car and even finished it sooner. I called up gentleman gave me an appointment for 3:00 it was 2:30 I got there I was greeted had prompt courteous service and got my vehicle safety inspection for my 2018 Harley-Davidson friendly staff good mechanics and service writer was excellent
Excellent service. He fixed my car in 1 day. He even called me the day after to check on the car. I reccomend highly and I'll be using his service again if need be.
Poor service , charge to much for labor and rig the inspection so you have to pay them a absurd amount , for example a simple bulb on headlight , labor = 200$ price of bulb 11$ , they said because they have to remove bumper and realign the head light , stay away if you value your hard earned money , these people would rather make a quick buck than actually help you. If It was possible I would rate them -1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 stars.
This place I would not recommend they are rip off mechanics I took My car for a brake and light inspection all they did was look for anything wrong to over charge me for labor tried to charge $30 to change a corner light bulb you can do yourself their not trustworthy.I took my car somewhere else and it passed with no issues their they tried to say I needed a alignment and all kinds of B's don't go their their rip offs.They know u are stuck if it don't pass and will knit pick to force as much money out of you as they feel you are at their mercy I'm reporting them to the better business beurea too
My husband used them yesterday to have a brake and light check on our 5th wheel trailer. We needed it done and he was happy at first, but things turned when they strong armed him into having to pay a total $515 dollars for a brake and light inspection which included $75 for two bulb lights. Very poor professionalism, would not recommend.

I bought two used tires from here. I drive a GMC Envoy SUV. The first time they charged me $45 for a used tire which is more than what I had been quoted ($35) but I had a flat so I couldn't drive somewhere else.
The next time (yes, I went there again because they are close to my house and I had another flat, different tire) they charged me $35 which was fine.
But now, only a month later, the $45 tire blew out on me on the freeway last night. I'm done with this place. I like to support small businesses but the changes in price and the more expensive tire lasting only a month is just ridiculous.
How is this place getting high ratings? These guys are rude, do not speak much English, and will charge you $42 bucks in five minutes without doing a proper smog diagnosis. I took my car there, and within five minutes, they come out and say I failed the smog, but could tell me nothing. I asked questions on what to do, and they told me they didn't know, and that I should go somewhere else. So I did. I took my car to another smog center a few miles down the freeway on Mission Blvd. This second smog center checked my gas cap and sensors to make sure I at least had a chance of passing before performing a smog check (there was no charge for this). He ended up easily correcting the problem by replacing a worn gas cap. He even showed me the computer device that connects to the gas cap to check it for vapor leaks. That's all it took. I passed the smog check. Now, that's what I call customer service. I wish I would NEVER have gone to Riverside Smog Check. Riverside Smog Check has ZERO customer service. They'll just take your cash in a hurry and not give you any advice or effort at all. Please find another smog center who won't scam you. If you do go here, hold on to your wallet.
I when to this shop during my 1hr. lunch to get a STAR smog check. I got there, and I was treated with respect and courtesy. They took me in right away. They told me it was going to take 30 min but it actually felt less than that. Their service was very fast and efficient. Highly recommended. Thanks Riverside Smog.
