My husband and I are from Idaho and we are in Tucson for the winter. We went for a hike at Mt. Lemmon and found this restaurant online, so we planned to come for lunch after. This place is so rusting, breezy and charming! Great vibes, killer food and our server Kevin was very friendly and attentive! Y'all...when I say the spinach and artichoke dip is GOATed...Thank you Barnyard! Hope to come in again before we leave!

Been to the Barnyard many times and never had an experience like last night. Yes, it was a Saturday night so it was busy. We were told it would be an hour wait . We were bringing out of town family to try so we were ok with the wait. What we were not ok with was waiting the hour to learn they gave our table away because the hostess wrote down my phone number wrong. Ok, so we get seated, server was ok. We wanted to make a couple side substitutions and were told no. Not very cool, but we just said ok. I couldn't wait to eat and see what the family thought. Fast forward 1.5 hours later, still no food and now the restaurant is almost empty. I was not happy. It's one thing to wait to be seated, but to wait double that to get food is unacceptable! My food arrived cold but edible. At this point I was starving and tired. I did ask for the owner at the end of the meal, but was told he was gone, so I asked for a manager. They sent some young girl that just tried to justify our evening and that's unacceptable. I explained that to her and for a party of 5 she gave us $14 off the bill. Wow, that was insulting and rude. Not a good night, but at least we spent time with family.

Food was a little pricey but tasted very good. We ordered fish tacos. Comes with chips and 3 kinds of sauces. Very good corn mango salsa on top made taco a tad sweet. Swiss, onion burger. Order of chips and salsa. Great service, great taste, nice atmosphere.

It can get really busy and with that, the food and beverage service can get backed up, but the service overall was really above and beyond. This is a family place and it gets busy. The food is great, fish and chips were a hit with our guys and the queso was my favorite. We can't wait to go back to enjoy the spring evening on their massive patio.

I had cod fish and chips at a San Diego area restaurant overlooking the Pacific yesterday. The fish and chips I had at The Barnyard last week were 10x better. The batter was light and crispy. The fish was incredibly fresh. Good job Barnyard!

Food was very disappointing tonight, 2 small fish tacos for $22 it’s expensive. I remember when tacos were bigger. My husband got the smashed burger the patties lacked seasoning and flavor. Even my 6 year old daughter didn’t liked her food, and my 4 year old son didn’t liked his cheese pizza. We hate to say it but we’re not coming back, we wondered if they changed owners….

EH…just disappointing- one entree was good but the other was inedible. The good was the Halibut with angel hair pasta , wife liked it, although only could eat 1/2 asparagus (not fresh) But after finishing she noticed a chip about inch long and deep on the plate- that’s a FOOD SAFTEY ISSUE. I expect more when receiving a $49 dollar plate-of food. Someone took the time to construct that plate wipe it down and still sent it out.YIKES. I got the barnyard grilled chicken sandwich- well constructed- love the house pickle but chicken was unedible. I got the peice that cooked before lunch( we ate at 3pm ) someone gave me a piece of chicken they wouldn’t eat themselves (see pic). 100% of the time I would’ve sent that back, but it was my wife’s day. The focus was on her.Fries were fine not scratch. Lunch was $105 with one beer / pop/ tip/ tax and a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. (which is a BS charge, the restaurant is smart enough to include Rent ,utilities, non-food supplies ,salaries and profit into the cost of a plate of food. maybe you should figure out that 80% of your customers will use the credit card incorporate that into your plate cost. Here’s an idea, rebate customers using cash people love getting money at the end and more likely would probably give that to your servers.) overall, lunch was $105 for two drinks and one edible entrée it was nice inside and server was good.

The food here tasted amazing! I tried the spinach dip with pita bread and a BBQ smash burger. The only complaint is how hard it is to eat the burger. The flavor is amazing but it sits so tall that there is not traditional way of eating it. I had to pull it apart to eat it. The spinach dip was something I had a hard time to not eat. It was addicting good. The service was top notch. We sat outside, which the temperature was pretty low but you could never tell. They had enough of those mushroom style heaters around that made you feel like you were by a camp fire. My daughter also loved the kid area. I think this place is a must go. It is on the pricey end, so make it a fancy diner.

We ordered clam chowder and grilled shrimp taco. The chowder was really good and the taco had a great seasoning especially the side condiments - cheese, bean and salsa for the tortillas chip.

Really enjoyed the patio and ambiance. The food was solid, great options. The chef sent out some extra halibut for my friend because he felt the original portion was too small, really thoughtful and wonderful service.

We have been eating and entertaining family and friends at The Barnyard Crafthouse & Eatery, almost since it opened. And we will continue to do the same. However, last night we took our family for supper, and I ordered a “new” item on the menu. It was the “Sonoran Smash Burger” with “Garlic Pigtails”. In the past I have ordered my hamburgers cooked as rare as the kitchen would make them. I asked the server just what the smash burger was. I was told it was two 3-ounce pieces of hamburger smashed on the hot grill and then stacked on the bun. Also, I’m not a fan of the “French fries” so I asked what else came with it and I was told for $6 more I could get garlic pigtails. I agreed with that suggestion but made the mistake of not asking just what they were. The Sonoran part of my order was nice, but the two black charred pieces of meat, that, when cooked, could not have weighed more than 4 ounces, were horrible. The Garlic Pigtails were the same fries I usually do not like or eat. It was a small bunch of fries with about 12-15 string-like pieces of garlic and was lukewarm. Not worth the extra cost. Only two of us orderred the smash burger, the rest of our group had the usual great food.

This place was disappointing overall. The food was just okay and in some cases worse. The burger I ordered was dry and lacked flavor, especially disappointing after such a long wait. It took about an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and during that time the service was extremely slow and inattentive. Drinks were brought out once and never refilled, and our server rarely checked on us at all. What made the experience worse was the automatic 20% service charge, which felt completely undeserved given the lack of service. Even more frustrating, about half of our group didn’t order anything, yet the service fee still applied. It felt like the staff didn’t really care about providing good service because the tip was guaranteed. Honestly, the only real value was having a space where the kids could run around, that’s what we ended up paying for more than the food or service. If you’re coming strictly for a meal or attentive service, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I've been to your restaurant several times and had great experiences. This time we went with an experienced Chef friend [he's cooked for very well known entertainers, politicians, and personalities in Long Island NY and Scottsdale AZ]. I was raised in Connecticut so grew up with seafood. I ordered the Clam Chowder, as it was made with homemade broth. When it came, I had one spoonful, I couldn't eat it. The chowder was extremely salty. I offered tastes to my husband and Chef friend- they concurred, it was very salty, too salty to eat. The waitress took it back and I ordered the calamari appetizer instead. Considering my initial order was returned and an appetizer was ordered instead, I expected a fairly quick turnaround (the restaurant wasn't busy). No, not at all. It was at least 25 minutes, before I was served. The other 2 guests were finished already. My husband Tomato Bisque and Chef's Chili was fit to serve, no issues. I expected a visit from the manager, but that didn't happen either. So now, I'll have to do a Google and Yelp review. I very much dislike putting that negative a review online, but feel justified giving the number of issues we had. I'll let you know, if I get a response!

An excellent Eatery! The first thing you see is this desert ?outside .. ? of course, it’s Tucson AZ. Ladies be careful if you are wearing your expensive shoes. ?When Parking ?️ on the dirt. My husband loves to surprise me he didn’t know there were no concrete pavements. I am so glad my husband did take me to this wonderful place. Because it would have been a bummer if I have never seen it or heard about it. Second, what got me to notice was the arch entry and grass as well as things for the kids to play in.., there were dining areas outside that was well shaded from the harsh sun. Once you go in it’s surprisingly beautiful a very busy place. Moderately loud. We had a nice server and and she helped us with our orders we told her it’s our first time there and she suggested some good things?. My husband had ordered steaks and beer ? a real Texan man ?. I had the same but with the wine their wine choices are succinct. Of course , later the deserts.. sorry ? didn’t take pictures. Last of all, it was a great day and we were both very happy as we were leaving the restaurant. if we were to ever go back to AZ. We will definitely ? go back again. Go check it out. You won’t regret it.

Excellent outdoor Tucson dining, under the night sky and under sparkly lights. Service is good, however as is normally the case, rent on the property must be high, so the food suffers. All 4 of us thought the dishes were tasty, but tiny, so you leave unsatisfied and hungry. For instance, the fish taco plate included only 2 tacos, and the "beans" were literally a half-tablespoon portion in a little condiment cup. The vegan burger was likely small, with no fries included an only meager fixings. This place is good for a beer and a visit, but I'd never eat here again. The prices are too high for what you're served.

Barnyard was a pleasant surprise—a tucked-away spot with standout character. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between cozy and vibrant, making it feel like a well-kept secret worth sharing. From the moment we arrived, the service was attentive and welcoming, and the food and drinks delivered on every front. It’s the kind of place that invites you to linger, enjoy, and come back for more.

Excellent food, well curated Beer and wine, great place for the family with lots of areas outside. Very comfortable inside and out. I had the fish tacos, both grilled and fried both excellent with red cabbage, mango and the house salsa . House made chips are as light and crisp as you could ever want.

The food here is great. It's American dining at is finest. Probably my favorite fish n chips in Tucson. Beer and drink selection is also very good. Family friendly with great outdoor seating and play options.

We like it, we love it, we want more of it! Very nice new casual hot spot on Tucson’s East side. It’s pretty Far East! The outdoor vibe was clean and bright and it was nice to have a drink in their Adirondack chairs while we waited for a table. Inside seating was a urban-farm vibe and outside was patio-umbrella casual. Corn-hole bags being thrown in the background! Nice, fun and fast servers. The manager, CJ, was very nice as well. They are very busy and they are hauling it to keep up, but we really liked it and will be back with more friends next time! Erin was an awesome server! Loved the burger and the cauliflower appetizer and everything else is so great. VictorB

The perfect spot is very low-key, but it will be worth it. Kids and us adults loved the food and atmosphere. They have a beautiful kids' play area.

This is the second time we have made it to barnyard. We absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere is so unique and absolutely fantastic for people with children since you can let them play around outside outside while waiting for food. Yes sometimes they are a little slow to get get back to your table, so it’s always best to be ready to order if you don’t wanna wait long, but the service has always been kind and helpful and the food is amazing and in our opinion, very reasonably priced, depending on what you want.

Nice restaraunt on the northeast side plenty of parking. The waiter was very attentive but the tables are too small as was evident when our dishes were hanging off the edge when served. Very scenic and tasty food at moderate prices served fairly quickly. Brunch is really lunch and they do not serve breakfast. Plenty of room for eating outside too. Didn't like the feeling of being rushed out as the waiter asked us if we wanted boxes to go when we were still eating. The place fills up fast but there was still plenty of tables for people.

This was suggested by a friend. Was our first time there and everything was very good! Nice atmosphere and setting. Chili had a nice kick to it. Service was 4 star due to having to ask for a napkin and utensils and they forgot the avacado on the Barnyard Chicken sandwich. Was promptly replaced and not a show-stopper by any means. Would definitely recommend if you haven't tried them yet.

If there were ten stars, I would have given all ten! Great atmosphere...food...and service! We went for lunch and left very satisfied. We had the 505 burger with piggy fries (kind of like a curly cut steak fry) and the Mac and Cheese with pulled pork. Service was quick and the manager held the door for us and greeted us as we entered and left. We sa inside, but the outside seating looked inviting and included yard games. We will visit again when in the area.

Fun Atmosphere Hidden near Mt. Lemmon, The Barnyard is a great place to have some playful dinner. Amazing food + drinks! The outdoor seating is great. They have oversized outdoors umbrella to keep the sun away as well as big outdoor fans (non-distracting). From cocktails, to appetizers, and onto the entrees— everything was delicious!! Every food my family and I ordered was worth it. Presentation of each plate was up to standards! This is definitely our new go-to for family gathering!

We had a nice dinner sitting at the bar. It was busy so it was very loud inside and hard to carry on a conversation. The kitchen lost our ticket so we watched many tables that came in after us eat and leave before we got our meal. I give the manager loads of credit for being aware of what happened to us and taking care of us while we waited. She really cared about our happiness and it recovered our whole experience. I would return because of her kind attention. The food was quite good when it arrived. We had a chicken pizza and the tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Everything was hot and delicious and they had a nice selection of beers on tap as well

Outstanding out of the way place on our way home from Mt Lemmon. Great ambiance kid friendly but super for adults. Walk up bar, outside patio. And, inside seating. Great fish tacos, nice piece of fish grilled with avocado mangoes as well as chips bean dip salsa and cash. Very impressed. Friendly staff.

When they say they are a scratch kitchen, they mean it! The food here is top notch. The pulled pork pizza was to die for. The 505 burger was delicious. Great heat from the hatch chiles. The fish in the fish tacos was cooked perfectly. The Mac and cheese balls are a must for an appetizer. To finish it all off, the tortilla chips are the best I have ever had in my life. I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

Our food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. The crab stack was fantastic and (not pictured) we had the roasted beet salad which was absolutely delicious However our service was slow, our food and drinks took a long time to be delivered and although our waitress was sweet and friendly she was also forgetful.
