Wanted to call out our tow truck driver Jose, who went above and beyond for us after an accident we had on Christmas Eve. He was warm and friendly, efficient, and took great care of us overall. We'll definitely use Gary's again because of Jose! Thank you!

Thank goodness for Papa K at Gary’s Towing! We were stranded on the road on Christmas night. Papa K came out and rescued the day! He had an excellent helpful can-do attitude even after being called out on Christmas. He made a challenging situation so much better and took care of us until we were safely home. Recommend 100%.

One of the best companies I have ever dealt with, The driver was upfront about everything that I needed to know from the get go, Every question that I asked, He told me what he knew and if he didn't know the answer, He told me he didn't. Kind Driver, The office staff are on another Level, Great people, Nice Atmosphere. Who I am is unimportant, what I have to share is important.
When and If your car is ever towed by this company, It is because of a reason that was created by the driver of the car, Gary's Towing is under contact with several Law Enforcement Agencies across the city, The drivers are only doing what they were hired to do, As well as the people in the office.
I decided to do this review because of all the reviews that I am reading about this company. Basically are all lies about a company & There employee's ( Drivers )that puts there lives on the line to help ungrateful people..
I was also asked to put a drivers name that asked me to do this, However I explained to the driver that I'm not that way, He had to choose either a review or a tip, He chose the Review.
In regards to the pricing stuff I read about, I can honestly tell you that the pricing wasn't any different than other companies in the city. If you think that price you have to pay is a lot, Before you blame a company for the pricing, Research it and you will soon find out that it will cost more than what you are being asked to pay.
Worst Company ! Do not use them. They take advantage of people . My son was in his first accident and TPD contacted them to move the car no choice given to my kid. I tried to ask the driver nicely just to move the car out of the road and we would have AAA tow it since we have free towing with them. He was rude and said he would still have to charge my son
$85 . For what? To move it maybe 5 feet . Then
They towed it to my home because they were already charging us , only to find out they charged almost $6 a mile. So almost $200 later that my son who works part time doesn’t have I was upset. I tried to speak with someone in person and got absolutely nowhere. They take advantage of people and overcharge just to make money and I will
never recommend them. Avoid having them tow your vehicles at all cost. They have no empathy or compassion for anyone.
Staff is kind amd helpful. My friend was in a car accident and their car was towed here. The staff allowed them to get their items out of the car. Make sure you have proof of ID, Insurance, and or registration to access the lot. The also have public auctions for cars. Check them out online.
My car broke down last night and the police called Gary's Towing to remove my car from the intersection. Breckin was the driver and he was so nice. He helped me charge my phone which was dead, he dropped off my car to my requested location and even helped me secure a Lyft to get home.
He was so kind and very helpful during a frustrating situation.

My car was stolen and recovered but unable to drive.
I called Gary's which was recommended by TPD. The price was fair and they allowed me to use 2 separate payment methods without any hassle.
They had someone to us in 30 minutes. It was the least stressful part of a very stressful situation. The woman on the phone as well as the driver were very friendly and professional.
I got a notification that my car was in their yard, a car I reported STOLEN to TPD, months ago, I received a ticket in mail for Said car, I went to police station. They informed me they would follow up and get back to me and not worry about the ticket. A month later I get the notification of abandoned vehicle. I call the tow yard... the lady incredibly RUDE. not only informed me I am responsible for fees on stolen vehicle but also says.... ITS MY FAULT CAR WAS STOLEN!! THAT VEHICLES ARE PEOPLES RESPONSIBILITY... Ok... so if someone gets shot or stabbed is it their fault too??? Wow lady... victim shame much??? Horrible company Horrible receptionist
Everything in my car was how i left it. Honest company with honest price. My experiences with tow yards are bad. Not this time. Thank you Gary's Towing.
This company is a total scam. They claim that they came to my house when I was home they said knock, which they didn't. They said that they called, which they didn't and they charged me double because he was already going to the impound with my car when I requested them to bring it to my house very unsatisfied. Not only that but left my car in the middle of my street and not my parking space We were trying to make suggestions of how to get my car into my driveway but he started yelling at us that he knows what he's doing that he has a semi truck driver's license and to leave him alone
My vehicle was at a mechanics being worked on when it was stolen. Unfortunately they didn't realize the theft or notify me until days later. I immediately filed a stolen car report with TPD & they informed me that Gary's had my vehicle. I felt relieved that it had been recovered! It was reported abandoned & towed for safe keeping is what I was told. I called Gary's Towing & they wouldn't give me any information about my vehicles condition except that there were no keys in it & with the hitch fee, Towing, mileage, storage per day plus some other fee's it would be about $400.! I understand they're a business but their lack of ethics & lack of empathy for someone having their vehicle stolen & completely totalled is disgusting! They led me to believe that I should have a locksmith meet me there to make a ignition key, pay all their fees & I could drive my vehicle away! They wouldn't budge on the charges even with a police report! They insisted that the only way to avoid the fee's were if I had proof that I reported it stolen before they towed it. Since I wasn't even aware of it until 2 days after they towed it, I was basically screwed. I will say that TPD sent a letter to my mailing address (which is at P.O. & I didn't have transportation to) saying I had 5 business days to get my vehicle without having to pay Gary's Towing fines which would have been great had I known I would have found someone to drive me there! Gary's could have been ethical & told me that especially when I let them know that I didn't have the money as I'm on disability. I found someone willing to buy my vehicle & pay to get it released only to get there & get the run around. They wanted $800. now, as it took me a few weeks, but up front before letting us even see my vehicle! Ridiculous! & all because all they care about is getting your money! After an hour they agreed to let us see it, probably cuz they were closing! It was completely destroyed inside & out! Cracked frame, missing parts, flat tires, Totalled! I barely got a picture when the guy said if we were not paying he was putting it back behind the fences & did so, rudly dismissing me! I was in such shock! If they have your vehicle, get down there ASAP & demand to see it! Then get it out of there, even if it has to be towed 2 your house, mechanic or a salvage yard! Had they been straight with me I would have been able 2get it out for a small mileage fee & sold it to a salvage Co. for $500. Instead I'm stuck paying $500 as an abandoned vehicle fine & $60 for the locksmiths time & Gary's keeps it! & I'm sure they'll sell it 2 salvage co! Nightmare!
I brought two friends here that had been in an accident. Doesn't someone have to call for a tow truck? Anyways. GT wouldn't let them (friends) take anything out of the car before they whisked it away to their tow yard. Didn't bother asking if they wanted it brought anywhere of their choice, just pretty much stole it. And speaking of which... friends claimed that nearly half of their possessions from inside the car were gone, including tools. This is a reputation that they are famous for as I've heard it countless times. There's some other stuff that I don't really feel like getting into right now but yeah, shady company...
If you get the manager lady, she'll make it as hard as possible for you to get your car back. Also if any damages happen they'll blame you for it. My front bumper got snapped off and they wouldnt let me file a complaint. If your car is here, take every per-caution you can. Good luck.
The employees need to take a years couse on customer servive. I called to tell them the abondoned vehicle they have was sold. His rude response was, "Well if you got the letter, you're the registered owner." Which I agree with but he was extemely rude. I must've i interrupted his sleep.
So my car was recently impounded, and I got it out from Gary’s towing. The funny thing is the same day. I got it impounded I had actually had a tire two tires replaced because they were bald. And when I got my car back, not only is the hood now dented, but the tire that I got replaced with a new one is bald as hell and literally like there’s no tread whatsoever left on it. Has anyone else encountered the same problem because since I approved I think I’m gonna go after them legally. I just wanna know if anyone else wants to join in.
I don’t know what’s worse, getting your vehicle stolen or having to go through Gary’s Towing and deal with the fees they charge to get your stolen vehicle back. They won’t work with you at all and refer you back to TPD to try and get reimbursed for the fees. Crooks.
BE WARE at Gary Towing and Salvage Pool these people are predators! The front staff is not nice and all they want is your money. They deliberately don't communicate with you until they want your money. In fact they flat out said it would be free if we left the car at their junk yard! After confronting them, they hung up on me and said they assumed I had full coverage and charged me and took my car. Horrible people!
Terrible experience with Gary’s Towing. After a car accident, the police called them to tow my vehicle. They gave me a card but never answered their phone when I tried to call—leaving me totally in the dark about where my car was. On top of that, they still charged me towing and storage fees—without giving me a chance to avoid those charges or pick up the car sooner, when we asked about selling the car to them, they still demanded we pay up to $300 in fees, just to hand it over. They offered no help, no communication, and clearly care more about money than treating people fairly. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

I cannot emphasize enough how predatory and dishonest this company is. After my car was totaled, they misled us into believing that taking the car to their junkyard would be cheaper than having it towed back to our home. They never provided any clear price breakdown or explained any potential additional charges. We agreed to the junkyard option based solely on their word, and they handed us a business card — that was it.
What they failed to mention, and what we learned too late, is that they began charging us daily storage fees without any prior notification. No written agreement was provided, and no one ever explained these charges upfront. They completely took advantage of a young woman who had just been in a car accident, leaving her with no knowledge of what was happening or what she was agreeing to.
For 15 days, we tried repeatedly to reach them by phone, but no one answered and they don’t even have a voicemail inbox. When we finally got a hold of someone, a woman who was incredibly rude and unhelpful, she dismissed our concerns and even had the audacity to say, “Do you expect everything to come for free?” When I mentioned that we hadn’t been able to reach them for over two weeks, she told me that “she wasn’t proactive enough to call and ask.” This level of demeaning customer service is unacceptable.
At no point were we informed about the ongoing storage fees, and when we attempted to resolve the situation, the person on the phone actually hung up on us.
This company operates in a completely predatory manner, and their lack of transparency and outright hostility toward customers is borderline criminal. I urge you to find any other towing service — anyone would be a better choice than this business.
If you weren't informed about the charges upfront, or if they didn't have a clear agreement, this could be a violation of consumer protection laws.

My car was towed to garys and they got mad at me for following behind a different tow trucks company into their yard as I was given permission to do so, being completely disrespectful Garys company had no idea where my car was in their lot and seemed lost. we pulled up aside the guy that worked for Garys and told him we passed my car already and he tried to start a conflict with my buddy and I, we just wanted my car, extremely disrespectful.
One horrible company, these people feel entitled when driving on the street. Just because your a towing company doesnt mean you can honk your way to moving traffic in front of you, literally learn how to be patient and not drive like a maniac!!! On of your trucks was behind me and i was going 37 on a 30 street speed limit and yall where honking at me to get our your way literally was 3 in the afternoon with traffic where was i supposed to go?!??? Like your not a emergency vehicle get your ass in the back of the line??♀️
I had my car towed by Garys towing and it's not the first time that I have got my car and stuff was missing out of there. I had a bag of coins (change)and that was missing. Everything was ransacked. The people that garys towing hire steal after being told they are reliable and honest. So if you guys pick garys towing make sure you look for another towing company first.
Gary's Towing is #1! I paid out of pocket instead of using my insurance because Gary's Towtruck driver was so friendly the first time I needed a tow. The dispatcher was very friendly and helpful over the phone as well. Thank you guys!
