I had a suzuki motorcycle that was worn out & the property owner said it was worth selling for scrap. I got the title, drained all the fluids, stripped in down into pieces, & tucson iron & metal helped me out! win win win, great job!

I'm a professional welder and I buy most of my steel from these folks. They are the easiest to work with in Tucson and have almost everything I need, and then some in their surplus piles. Irene, Craig and the guys are Awesome!

We come here to drop off scrapped AC equipment and they're usually the best - prices, service, etc. They've always helped unload, sort, etc. Today, I called on my way with a SINGLE transmission. The person answering the phone told me I didn't need to pull on to the main scales, just pull up to the scrap metal station in the front, which I did when I arrived. The guy checking weight was just about to help me unload it, when the 20-something year old kid running the scrap station told me I had to drive onto the main scale and go to the back yard. I told him that's not what I was told on the phone. He said "the only way we can take it here is if you can get it on the scale by yourself." So I pulled onto the main scales and into the back yard - and with it's weight - obviously I'm not lifting it out myself - I had to roll it out of my 4Runner, damaging my rear bumper in the process. I've never experienced this here, they're usually super helpful. Maybe it started because I was backing in, instead of pulling in forward then backing up to the scale - which he "reprimanded" me for? I don't know...I hope they talked with him about his customer service skills, because he has none. At least the phone/counter attendant was helpful and apologetic after the fact.

This company exceeded my expectations and I had a wonderful experience while delivering my load of highly valued bare extruded aluminum posts. Got my check and hit the road back to Mama! Thanks T.I.M ! You guys are the shiznit!

Being a woman and not knowing much about metal and it's value, I was apprehensive about the whole process. But Tucson Iron and metal employee, J.J. made the process simple and fast, he was informative on the different types of metal and patiently answered all my questions. I highly recommend this establishment!

I needed to get rid of a couple old bicycle frames. Heavy steel garbage, I just needed their wheels (very old bikes bought very cheap on Craigslist). Took me too long to get around to trying Tucson Iron & Metal, so glad I did. No need to drive on the scales with a small car/pickup load, and there was only 1 person ahead of me in line. I was just going to drop and run, scrap steel isn’t worth much. The guys at the offloading scale encouraged me to take the ticket inside the office and get what I could get. No line in the office, quickly turned a ticket for 37lbs of bicycles into $1.85. A free coffee never hurts. Thanks for being easy and helpful everyone at Tucson Iron & Metal. People like you make recycling metal a very easy chore.

I delivered a load of brand new corrugated roofing material to this place, and that's where the nightmare started. They had me weigh the load which did not need to be weighed due to it being a flat rate load. So I reluctantly got on the scales and they told me I could "back off" the scales, and then there's signs saying do not back up! Also there were customers behind me and so I had to go straight and try turning around in the yard which is covered in sharp objects. Well, 550.00 dollars later for a new tire I'm gonna be late for my drop which was across the street, and if someone had their stuff together I wouldn't have had any problems. Also the manager is a smart alek and thinks he just so above everyone else, or at least he thinks he's above me. DO NOT BRING A 53' FLATBED HERE. EVERYONE ELSE IS HAULING WITH 40'TO48'.

I wish google had 0 stars because this place is defrauding people with their atm, we sold some metal and they gave us the ticket and the atm didn’t pay us obviously we complained and the women so rude and with poor customer service said that the ticket was paid obviously we would not go and complain for something that was paid. The man that I supposed is the owner or manager was very rude too. They are Robbing costumers and with the atm “not working” properly they are committing Fraud!!!!!! Because they are pocketing the money from the atm!!!!!!

Incredible been coming here fir years!!!!. They got burned for $206 dls. Because there little joke of atm didnt spit out the money and there saying it did. Be carefull just have them pay you in person. Horrible customer service!!!

I had a load of scrap metal and Tucson Iron and Metal made it easy to get rid of it ... and get some cash too. The employees were helpful to this metal market newbie over the phone and in person when I got there. They instructed me to pull up on the scale wait for the green light, and then drive to the back to unload. The workers in the back took a quick look at the load and showed me where to unload. After unloading I drove back on the scale and waited for the green light. Then walked back into the office and got a receipt to scan at the ATM outside which dispensed the cash. I mostly had steel so didn't take the time to sort out the little aluminum I had, but if you want to take the time there's a separate scale to weigh that for you. Thanks again Tucson Iron and Metal!

Irish customer services much better here customer service to be better if the employees didn't ignore you speak Spanish only. The employees would have been helpful in the return of you instead of asking me that your system you walk up without a vehicle an d that's not right. You should be treated equall

There are two gentlemen that work here but I'm not very friendly or customer service oriented whatsoever. You asked him questions and they get irritated right away to answer you and they joke amongst each other and completely ignore you when you're asking them questions and try to figure out why they're not paying you correctly for your I want to tell them part of my that part of my bucket head copper number one and part had copper number two and they just poured the entire contents on the scale and when I asked why I was paid only for copper number two the one with the dark glasses on told me it was not his job to separate my that they don't separate and I explained I had it already separated that they poured it on the scale not me I was giving the lowest of all the copper prices this was not my first interaction with the gentleman with the dark prescription glasses that drives the forklift or the bigger Hispanic guy that runs the scale. Two or three times they treated me really disrespectfully and in a hurry and treated me like I didn't really matter like I was just a number. Let me reiterate that this was not the first or second time that I was treated this way by these two gentlemen

The staff were nice and helpful with unloading scrap. Didnt feel as though my life were threatened or that I was at risk for serious injury from being in the working environment. Very muddy for unloading metal. Wasn't the best experience and wasn't the worst. Slightly below neutral emotions.

They are absolutely the most friendly and helpful scrap yard in Tucson! JJ was extremely helpful and friendly! After meeting him and having the experience we did I will only be coming back here with my scrap! Can't say enough about them and the price was way better than thier competition, they also gave us alot of info on how to get more out of our scrap next time! Really can't say enough good things, I really hope the management appreciates thier employees, because JJ and everyone were amazing!

Just like a shower! Quick in and quick out! I have not been to every recycling place in Tucson. So far this one is the Best.The saddest recycling location is on 22nd. It's the absolute Worst! Your better off throwing your scrap metal away.

Excellent service, polite, vigilant and welcoming. I have been here before and so I got curious and asked for the answer to why they have Steele pellets in neat piles and the reason was obvious. I shouldn't be so hard on myself and that's what I mean. The employees don't add problems to my day. I already have much to do and I appreciate the experience. Thereafter I was handed a ticket at the front office and upon exiting down the handicap access ramp an automatic kiosk is stationed on the left. Scan the barcode and the machine issued my cash. I'm going to venture a guess, I have the impression that the company is a family owned and operated business. You can't find this quality of service unless the supervisor, management or owner had a vested interest in its success. It's my sincere hope that the business whether or not it's private continues to earn the respect of there community. I'm guessing and they do not need my best wishes. Keep up the great work.

Tucson Iron and Metal is in my opinion the best place in Tucson to take your scrap metal. They have the best process in town for getting you in and getting you out in a reasonable amount of time. Some other places have you driving around and around and then you have to find someone to get paid . The guys at Tucson Iron and Metal are courteous and helpful. They will help you unload your scrap if you need a little help. Their prices are good and no one here is trying to cheat you. I do highly recommend Tucson Iron and Metal.

Best place in town to take your scrap. Quick and easy in and out, clean, organized, and professional and they pay the highest. All the employees have been there a long time, they know what they are doing and i always enjoy bantering with them. Just love the place!!

By far the best place in Tucson for the DIY metal fabricator. Large variety of uses and new material. Don't need a lot, they often have drops for a better price.

This was a great place to buy steel but as time progressed we began to notice a lot of shady things going on such as over charging on certain metals, the staff try's to up charge by claiming metals were placed in the wrong area and you need to pay more. They have this insane rule about not allowing you to pick the sheet's of sheet metal you want. They force you to take the top one's on any shelf even it had been ruined by paint, dented or rusted through. On their Google page it says they close at 5pm but the staff is so lazy they close at 4:30. I don't feel like I'm treated with any kind of respect here.

This is the place I go to now for all my scrap. Price's right now are low however they offer the best prices and are friendly and helpful. I love that I don't have to unload my steel myself as they use the big guns (Magnetic machine) to do it for me and that is worth it all the way around!!

First time at this yard and other than the initial confusion of not knowing exactly where to go to unload, which is to be expected, everything went exactly like it should have. Quick and easy... No issues with rude employees or feeling ripped off. Everyone was helpful and polite. I will use this place again. Maybe putting some additional signs up to direct newbies and posting the prices that are being paid would be my only suggestions. Thanks.

I went to Tucson Iron & Metal scrap yard yesterday. I needed to buy some materials to build a Welding Table. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and helpful. The guys in the yard cut everything I needed to length. And I even got some advice on the thickness of metal I needed. Great experience! Reasonable pricing. I'll definitely be back. I am not one to leave reviews however, after reading the first review I was flabbergasted at what was written! I have had the opposite experience withTucson Iron! They have been extremely helpful in teaching me how to properly sort my materials! Any time I have ever had a question about pricing they addressed my question on the spot. They go above and beyond in every aspect of business! They are extremely polite, helpful and fair! I visit almost once a week for over two years now and will never go anywhere else!
