Whenever I called their business phone someone would answer. Only problem there office is only open between 9am and 1pm. Also there pricing for towing and storing my car was very exorbitant. I paid 840 to get my car back and to have it towed to my place. Other than that the staff were professional.

Very unprofessional staff. Got my car towed for my renewal sticker being stolen, even though my car is fully registered. They still make me pay $378 to get my car even with proof of registration. I would not reccomend ANY apartment complex to use this company. They will extort your tenants simply because they can. Shady business.

Terrible experience Agree with all poor reviews - a shady company Best Towing LLC / ABYSS. People were rude, especially the dude at the yard to get my vehicle. Don’t answer phone calls. Very limited hours so you have to pay extra days of storage. Over priced. Towed and stored vehicle in a very sketchy area, very unsafe to go there at all not to mention in the dark. Please continue to rate the poorly! Thanks!!

Waited 30 minutes for someone to show up then the employee proceeded to yell at me, my friend and another customer. Disgusting behavior.

They took my car while i was running into my friends apartment to grab something, when I tried to call the number they have on the signs they would not answer. They do not have official business hours and the woman who answered the phone after calling multiple times said she would call back and never did, then proceeded to tell the man who pulled up that she was trying to call me back. They do not have an office to walk into and pay, and they run cards by saying the number through the phone. The credit charge is 15 dollars added onto the 334 dollars that goes up daily, since they do not answer the phone you do not know how much cash to bring + how to get there and when. That is the scam, by not answering they get to add more to the price for holding your car. They are also very disrespectful, i would say the best way to get your car back from these scammers is to call the non-emergency line to make sure they have your car, then go to the address with cash and call the number repeatedly until they answer, they longer they have it the more you pay. If the city doesn’t want to work with them something must be wrong.

This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been. I had an inconvenience of getting my car towed, so I asked for a ride to get my car simple. I pull up to the property listed to the address given by the tow company that matched the picture listed as well, and as I get out of my vehicle a man drives up to me and asks if I’m here to get a car to please pull up to the gate because this building doesn’t belong to them. Legally I’m guessing. So I do as I’m told, then I proceed to attempt to get out of the car with my sleeping three year old on my chest. This man approaches my drivers backseat where I’m seated & tells me the prices and to give him my debit & ID so he can return to his car. Atp, the man has never introduced himself but asked general questions in regards to my car. As he tells me he needs me credit information, my friend in my passenger warns me that, no do not give him anything, we do not even know if he works here. With reason seeing as we are in the middle of the street while it’s raining out. This man then starts to yell at the people in the car , “I work here! How would I be asking her about a car if I don’t work here” at the top of his lungs, mind u spitting over my shoulder because we are that close, with my sleeping three year old in hand. I have to raise my arm upward just to make room between us to exit the car and hold him back from yelling over my shoulder. I had to ask him more than once to refrain from talking to the people in my car. He proceeds to act frustrated as if I am taking time from his day. Then he complains to me, like why would she say that. So I tell him this is extremely sketchy there’s no building, and I spoke to a woman on the phone and I don’t even know you, then he says there is a building, it’s in back, mind you one I was basically not allowed to go to, since it was no where in sight and flat out denied. I call the front desk to verify this unprofessional grown man yelling at a car full of three women and 3 young infants, and the woman who answered could’ve cared less, at how the presentation was so sketchy but , repeat words of my passenger when not believe if this man worked there since they have clearly already exchanged stories. I was assured that she would “have a talk with him”. These employees are classless, disrespectful and rude. And I wonder if the situation would’ve been the same if it was a car full of men. That is all, I hope apartments become aware of this shady company because I sure let mine know. Please spread the word.

Watched this company drag multiple cars from a private parking lot claiming they work for the city. He did not use proper skates to move the vehicle or tow it as it should costing whoever’s car was being take a new diff and transmission for sure…. They took 50 out of pocket and releasss my car before doing so. Absolutely so illegal. Grimey guys looking to take directly from people

This place lost its license to tow in the city of Milwaukee because the City Council agreed it was illegally towing. Instead of getting the message and ceasing with tows, they tow from cities far away and collect as many charges as allowed by state law and city ordinance. Please note that they use very common tools to tow but will likely ways charge $355. For the illegal tow that cost them their license to tow in Milwaukee, they refused a drop fee and charged $355 and towed the vehicle anyway. This company doesn’t care about its reputation because they prey upon unsuspecting citizens for tows. As such, ensure the company does it by the book in every way and take it to your city or town council if it doesn’t.

I was thinking about using this company, but after hearing the anger of a friend, I think you should call the police if your car is wrongfully towed. This company needs to be stopped. They are harming the community instead of helping.

These people are operating under the name Best Towing, LLC. The company name is under Anthony lopez girlfriend Laura, but run by Stephanie lampone (owner of abyss towing). They have locations in Caledonia, oak creek & Milwaukee. Very shady family.

The scums of earth. Was 40 minute late to open the gate, don’t want to show their licensing, said I should’ve parked my car in the street when it broke down. Despite them being late, they didn’t want to wait for our tow truck to show up. Worse is I was taking care of autistic child when it happened. Charged a $150 special equipment. They act like this special equipment is going get it out of a ditch or top of a hill! The old lady felt sorry for us the way we got the car out of the tow lot with a chain in the icy snow. Next time lady, you push your car 0.2 miles when it’s snowing outside!

This placed towed my vehicle from my own apartment complex with my permit in my car. Worst place I have ever seen most unethical place and I will be contacting the alderman hope this place gets shut down!

I don't see how this company is still in business as they are notoriously known for ILLEGALLY towing vehicles from lots. My car that is registered with a parking permit at Lincoln Crest Apartments was towed out of the garage where I live! Tell me how is that even possible, all because my permit sticker wasn't affixed on my windshield (most likely fell off) but it's physically in my car. The alderman has been contacted for their illegal actions, and I pray that this business will be shut down soon. Greed is a sorry game, and it's not right to prey on people like this!

I just don’t know how this place is still in business. They towed my friends car and she had her permit. THEY towed it out of the garage. Like what? They have a reputation for towing cars illegally. The city will be called, the alderman will be contacted. Justice will be served eventually. This isn’t fair and it’s a prey on people’s pockets.

Not sure how this company is in business. Takes people's care illegally and when you do want to pay to get it they are only open certain hours and don't answer the phone. Also employees were late to open the gate and very rude.

Terrible service, was creeping outside the apartment complex searching for cars, we had talked to them the night before to not tow us because we got the ok from the boss and they came back the next day and did it anyway. Office people very rude as well as well as the person when I went to get my car out of the lot, wasted $275.

Read the reviews - they’re accurate. I cannot speak on their licensing legitimacy, as I have not looked into it, but this company is very unprofessional/borderline disrespectful, and they grossly overcharge; their standard tow rate is $150 and an additional $150 is charged for use of “special equipment”. This effectively is like chefs having a separate charge for needing to use knives while preparing your food. My friend drives an impala which was parked outside at my apartment, uninterrupted and on flat ground…not sure what special equipment could’ve been necessary. Also, the vehicle was towed around 11pm Saturday night and picked up Monday morning at 9. They charged a 2 day storage fee, albeit they’re closed on Sundays. It takes a few attempts to get the grumpy lady who answers theirs phones to finally pick up (7 for me), but once you do get through, keep your expectations low - they’re really not looking to help you or be courteous at any point.

I live at Colonial Manor Apartments on 59th and Cold Spring Road. My cousin came to visit and parked in my parking spot. Abyss employees were lurking in our parking lot late at night? Her vehicle was towed and it cost 350.00 to get it back! The man appeared to be living in the back of the “tow yard”. Since reading the notices of no business license since 2018. I’m calling the police ASAP as we used a credit card to pay. I’m just very upset that my Apt. manager would subject me to this kind of criminal activity. Creepy to say the least call and ask if it’s a visitor before towing a vehicle away. Dear Lord we are two 62, year old disabled women not getteo trash. My neighbor who parks in two parking spaces is never towed????

Abyss Towing was so courteous and quick! My battery kicked the bucket and I wanted a leap in the wake of a difficult day at work and the child's exercises. They were there so quick we weren't even late for supper. Will call them when I want assistance later on!

They are licensed. They aren't rude. They overcharge for common cars except when the contract with property management prevents it.

Complete scam artists. No notice of towing, took my car off a private lot, possibly fraudulently. And they damaged my tire, and refused to take any blame for it. Hopefully you don't get caught by these thieves

Place is locked and doesnt have an office that they will let you into other than to force paying their ridiculous price to get your car. $325 total, $150 for tow, $150 for go jacks/“special equipment”, and $25 for “overnight”. This all after towing from the lot at 11pm when everyone is sleeping and waking up to not have a car to go to work with. Lost out on the whole day of work to deal with it as you “have to have an appointment “ to come get your car. Was towed for the expired plates as the stickers were in the mail but never bothered to ask if we had the registration renewed. Just towed and force to pay. Crooked business practices and business hidden on street as well. Not even sure how they still are in business as they have had their license revoked left and right throughout the years but somehow continue to tow.

This place is bogus. We pay lots of money a month to park at our apartment and they had the audacity to tell us they are unauthorized to tow a vehicle when my apartment complex has us use this as our service if someone parks in our spot….what are they authorized to do then?

Ransomed my car back to me. ??? At least the owner was friendly but not like I had a choice in the matter, I was an unwilling customer. Doesn't make any sense that they tow ppl 24/7 but I cant get my car unless its 9am-1pm. Not to mention, they wouldn't even let me get my work badge out of my car so I could make it to work in time. I basically had to stay up all night cuz of their terrible service. I work in IT, you wouldn't even have to hire someone to process the payments. You could literally automate your gate. Pay online and get sent a QR code to unlock the gate to retrieve your car. Or something along those lines, point is we live in this wonderful age of technology yet this company forces people to pay the highest tow few known to man and can't even use that money to update their systems. They don't even have a website so why am I not surprised. But then again this company doesn't really care about your responsibilities that they hindered by taking your car that you need to make money in order to pay them lmao. This all started just because I wanted to visit my Mom at her apt and she didn't tell me about no parking rule at her apt past 6pm. There was plenty of spots available and there is no assigned parking at her residence. Abyss literally just drives around looking to "help" people by removing their cars from the premise. Also watch out, they have had their license revoked by the city of Milwaukee for not offering their "customers" a lift fee for 4 years straight when they are hooking your car up. I think they justify taking peoples cars against their will and selling the rights back to them just by the word "illegal parking" only to sleep better at night. In my occupation, I help people by making their lives better with information technology. Without people like me, this world would fall apart in it's current state. Without towing companies, we would all be fine. Who's really helping society at the end of the day?

Vehicle was towed to this place locally from American Colony Apartments at approximately 8:30 pm on a Friday evening. Of course no one would answer their phone at the business and the voice mail stated that pick up time was the following morning 8am til noon. The woman who answered the following morning stated that the tow fee was $325 which according to the invoice was: $150 for the tow, $150 for "special equipment needed for the tow" and a $25 over night fee. Once there to pick up the vehicle I was advised that "special equipment" was needed to tow the vehicle but judging off previous reviews this was a lie and the vehicle is a 4 door subcompact car. What "special equipment" could have possibly been needed as two strong men could almost pick up the car! These folks are plan thieves and fraudsters.

This place commits tax fraud. Pretends their card reader is "broken" and makes you go get exact change. Before they reply with any lip, it's been "broken" for two years. Good luck getting your car back! It'll take forever. They don't even have a legal towing license. If they take your car, call police to report it stolen. Because they stole it. No questions about it.

Just the worst. Called at 730pm to get someone towed out of my parking spot. Said 30 mins to an hour. 2 hours later, nothing and not answering phone. Do yourself a favor. Call the city first.
