I had an amazing experience at Russ Darrow Honda and I have to give a huge shoutout to my sales consultant Derrick Taylor! From start to finish, Derrick was professional, patient, and transparent throughout the entire process. He answered all of my questions, worked with me on the pricing, and made sure I fully understood everything before moving forward. I drove home in a beautiful 2023 Honda Odyssey EX-L and I could not be happier with my purchase! I enjoyed working with our salesperson, Daryl. He was friendly, fun, treated my wife and I with great respect, made sure we were good on refreshments and put in a late night finalizing our sale so we could head back home to Madison. Plus, he’s a Bucks fan. :) He accommodated all my requests when it came to looking at the vehicle. I felt important to him and like we were being properly taken care of. There was a decent size stain of some sort, perhaps a dark nail polish, on the console lid. I knew that would drive me nuts. But Daryl saw that it got cleaned up. There’s a little bit left as it was late on a Friday night and the detailing team was long gone, but Daryl hooked me up with two complimentary detailings. Hopefully the first one will do the trick. He also threw in a bottle of touch-up paint to cover up some scratches on the exterior. My only complaint is I wish they would’ve been a little more flexible on the vehicle’s price. It went up substantially the week we looked at it. I don’t love negotiating but at least they threw in a couple of freebies and took a few bucks off the extended warranty. But in the end, we got a good deal on a very nice Passport. We’re happy customers. Looks like a beautiful shop. It’ll be nice to come back for those detailings and free exterior/interior protection. They made me a fan.

Definitely recommend this dealership! Everyone was very nice, and very helpful, I worked with Dakota and she was super super sweet and helpful, and very nice to work with! It felt like I was talking to a friend the whole time :) I also worked with Gerald for finance and he was very kind and helpful as well, and explained things very well :) overall great experience!

Pathetic. I made an appointment for an oil change from a coupon I got in the mail - my girlfriend took my car in, they told her it was closed initially and made her runaround the lot only to come back to initial spot, took over 20min to create an account for the car, then told her the coupon was only valid for a Honda. What kind of bs fine print is this for an oil change? I’d give 0 stars if I could and will never go to a Russ Darrow again

We worked with Derrick Taylor at the automall and he was great!!! The manager there and finance people were also wonderful! Other salespeople were helpful as well, it was amazing seeing this terrific team of people put our purchase together like a well-oiled machine. They truly worked to get our payment where we needed it to be. We highly recommend Russ Darrow Honda!!!

Very nice and were not pushy. I was disappointed though because they gave me a broken key fob on the used vehicle I purchased and told me it was just how it was given to them by the previous vehicle owner. It was an easy $15 fix, but I think they should've taken the time and resources to fix it before they sold the car, or even after it was brought to their attention again. I also tried to get ahold of the manager due to a question a few days later and never got a call back.

We had an excellent experience at Russ Darrell Honda. George Matthews, the general manager was such delight to work with so personable and engaging. Derrick Taylor and Lesia Mathis in sales and Bobby Ljubich in finance were all fantastic to work with and made the entire car-buying process easy, smooth, and stress-free. They all were professional, helpful, and took the time to make sure everything was clear without any pressure. We truly appreciated the great service and how straightforward the experience was. It would have been a pleasure BUT my sales agent made it clear I was a nuisance to him. He made some promises like people would help me unload my car to put stuff in the new car. He did not tell me I could have nothing out of my car. When I needed his help, he turned his back and walked away. I Was left to find someone else to help me. I did not get instructions on operating my car except the two questions I asked someone else on my way out.My Agent just didn’t seem to know how things worked and then treated me very rudely. I think he forgot that he gets paid when someone buys a car and that day it was me. I would’ve liked to have an enjoyable experience I did not.

I had a surprisingly easy time buying my car here, which you can’t really say about many car dealers. All the people I worked with were pretty dang genuine despite trying to sell me a vehicle. I was allowed to test drive the car almost as soon as I walked in the door, and a couple hours later I was driving it off the lot. Dealerships will be dealerships, but of all I’ve been to this was the best experience I’ve had yet!

Didn't end up purchasing from here but Ken was very personable and polite. He was able to request cars from another Russ Darrow location and was willing to put one on a lift for me to check. Manager told me they'd match CarMax trade-in but weren't B.S.ing me about value so didn't feel like they were going to use it to hide a bad deal. Would recommend as a dealership option

Great buying experience. Great price. Reviews claimed Honda was a reliable brand. We were happy. Five days later our brand new Honda Pilot broke down. Spent eight days in the shop. Transmission issues. Dealer did nothing to accommodate me for the issue. More worried I would leave a poor review than making sure I was taken care of. They’ve been silent since the issue was fixed by another dealer. No offer to make anything right or add peace of mind that this won’t be a bigger issue and if it is it’ll be taken care of. I requested someone with authority reach out via email so that I had written proof of communication, but that never happened either. Makes the great price and easy deal look a lot more suspicious. Wouldn’t buy from there again.

Called to schedule an emissions test and was told to go in. Arrived 10 minutes early but waited 15 minutes outside the entrance bay because there were 2 cars in queue that no one wanted to move. Thats fine - maybe its my fault for arriving early. Got out of my car, walked up to the service desk and the lady behind the register tells me their emissions test machine magically broke 15 minutes prior to my appointment. Guess they only want your service if you're paying for a chargeable service. Tells me all i need to know about the quality of service they provide. Wont be visiting this dealership again.

We traveled a 10-hour drive from out of state to buy a used car and had asked for a video beforehand to check the condition. The salesperson assured us everything was fine and the car wasn’t too old. When we got there, we noticed clear signs of paint line and texture differences from the bumper to the door — it was obvious work had been done on the car, which hadn’t been mentioned or shown, and that was disappointing. The salesperson dismissed the DIY paint job as something that could have come from Toyota and didn’t even bother to look at it when we mentioned it, which suggests they had prior knowledge of the previous paint work. As soon as we asked about the paint, the general manager got involved. The manager said he’d be glad if we didn’t buy the car since the newly marked price was higher. When we tried to explain our paint findings, we were dismissed and instead asked about the color of the car. The manager said black and white paint are cheaper and that the issue probably didn’t cost much to fix, which made it feel like our concerns weren’t being taken seriously. Regarding pricing, we were informed that the price of the vehicle had just gone up today. However, with their upcoming promotional Black Friday discount, we were told we were still getting a better deal. This explanation felt more like a sales pitch than addressing our concerns. They said they accepted cashier’s checks but told me I would have to stay at least an extra day for it to clear, even though I’m not local. They offered to match my financing rate, but as soon as I called to cancel my bank financing, the matched rate was contingent on purchasing an extended warranty — something that wasn’t mentioned initially. Overall, the experience was terrible. The customer service was not only disappointing but felt intimidating, making what should be a straightforward purchase unnecessarily stressful.

My partner and I actually bought their car at Russ Darrow Honda a while back, and overall we’ve had pretty good experiences in the past. Because of that, I felt comfortable stopping in after receiving an email saying I had equity in my 2022 Honda Civic. Unfortunately, this most recent visit didn’t go as well as I hoped. I truly think the sales team was just trying to do their jobs, but I said “I need to think about this” several times and still felt a lot of pressure. They also held onto my key for the entire conversation. While I assume they didn’t mean anything by it, it did feel intimidating. We also weren’t sure about leasing and clearly went in wanting to finance, but it didn’t feel like they were very eager to work with us on that option. Overall, it just wasn’t the experience we were expecting based on our past visits. Since Kunes Chevy is right across the street, we decided to stop there next, and the difference was huge. They greeted us right away and made us feel welcome. They returned my key immediately after evaluating my car and offered me $4,000 more than Russ Darrow did, which obviously caught my attention. On top of that, they got my payment exactly where I needed it to be and genuinely made me feel like they wanted my business. Kunes also added two free oil changes and a tire warranty at no extra cost. At Russ Darrow, that same tire warranty is $75 a month (we know because we’re still paying it on my partner’s car), so this felt like a huge difference in value. Between the better offer, the no-pressure environment, and the extra perks, Kunes easily won my business. When my partner’s car is paid off, Kunes will definitely be getting another Chevy sale from us. I’m giving two stars because of the positive experiences we’ve had with Russ Darrow in the past, but based on this visit alone, I don’t think I’ll be returning for future purchases.

I went to another dealership the day before. The other other dealership had give me the runaround about financing and such. Weren't very friendly and then tried to pass off a few vehicles that I really didn't want. I went home pretty disgusted. So Chris from Russ Darrow reached out to me after hours that night . As a matter of fact it told me he might have a vehicle that will fit my exact needs and they can work with me better than this place did. I took his word for it and went the next day I got there I greeted Chris. What a very nice man. Chris got me financed before I even made the long drive there. And actually held a vehicle for me to come and look at before somebody else had a chance to buy it. He found me the exact kind of vehicle that I wanted and needed. So I worked with Chris and his team at Russ Darrow. They made the process so easy and in the end and I'm very happy with the car. Chris went above and beyond for me. If I could give him 10 Stars I would. Thank you Russ Darrow and especially thank you Chris for that phone call that started everything. Everybody at that dealership were really nice , courteous and professional. Thank you again Chris and Russ Darrow team

I had the saleswoman Lesia Matthis and she was incredible, super professional and worked with us on everything. More than just a saleswoman, a very nice and decent person. She helped us so much, especially since this is my first time purchasing a car. Would recommend her to anyone, especially people who may be unsure about the process. Love the dealership, but especially appreciated her. I would recommend anyone go through her or request her!

Purchased a vehicle last evening and had such a positive experience start to finish! We swung by late, around 6:45 to check out a CRV we saw online. Gary instantly greeted us and helped us locate the exact vehicle we were looking for. From there, the process was positive, smooth and efficient. He helped us understand the features of the vehicle and was personable and easygoing. Everyone stayed past closing to help us finalize our purchase, finance was efficient and kind, and we left ecstatic to drive home our new Honda CRV! Thank you Gary and Russ Darrow team!
