I would like to thank the team for helping me out the other day. My boat was in the slip and my pumps went out. Captain was quick to respond and head my way with pumps. Luckily the marina caught it first and we were able to put an emergency pump on it and get the water out, but I do appreciate everyone’s time. Heading my way and the fact that he got there and seeing the marina had it under control- He was kind enough, not to send me an invoice. I appreciate the good customer service. Thank you
We could not be any happier with our SeaTow experience!!! We broke down and needed a 12 mile tow. The local office scheduled the time for the tow and they arrived EXACTLY on time!!! The tow was well thought out, including coordinating bridge lifts and a lock opening. The actual tow was easy. It was very apparent Captain Ed and his mate know what they are doing. This made us comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. We were delivered to our destination at the projected time with no issues. THANK You Captain Ed for your great tow!!! Needed a dock to dock tow. Scheduled a week in advance. Ed showed up on time and did a great job. Make sure you’re a member! This tow would have been over $2k but since I was a member $0!!!

We were moving a boat from Port Canaveral, FL to Massachusetts for a research project and blew a hydraulic steering line in Chesapeake, VA. Capt. Ed from Sea Tow Hampton Roads was dispatched to help tow us in. He was a great captain and knew exactly how to handle our 38 footer. When the day goes bad, it is great to have professionals in place like Capt. Ed to help save the day. Highly recommend getting a Sea Tow membership, it is great insurance to have if you ever need it.
Been trying to schedule a tow for a week with this company. Dispatcher is absolutely rude. Continue to tell us they will get back to us with a quote and then never call back. When we call them back they just continue to make excuses.
Seatow operation is a joke.
My steering went out 20 miles from Rudee inlet one afternoon so I contact the coastguard to put me in touch with Seatow.
I hear Seatow on the radio to the coast guard saying they have tried to contact me several times but have been unable to reach me but they were leaving Rudee Inlet in 30 minutes.
Six hours later they show up with a transport vessel not even designed for towing a recreational vessel but what choice did I have at that point.
Anyway their tow rope kept hitting my bow pulpit and causing a springboard effect the entire way back in.
They lied to Me, they lied to the Coast Guard but in their mind it was a textbook recovery.
Here’s the best part…I renew my membership and capt Ed calls me up and says he’s not accepting my renewal because I wasn’t happy the last time they screwed me.
They have a history of making excuses without hesitation and leaving boats stranded because the weather is not perfect, etc.
Don’t touch them with a ten foot boat !!
Sea tow Hampton Roads is a service for emergency towing, but after you pay for a membership with sea tow, sea tow will leave you stuck in your emergency and find every excuse as to why they cannot or will not help you. Sea tow literally advertises "no fine print" as one of the member benefits to sell memberships on their wesbite, but then when members need a tow, sea tow refuses the tow citing fine print found elsewhere on their website.
This is a very dangerous business practice for people in a emergency, expecting help from a company who's job is to help people in emergencies.
I would recommend using towboat US.
Great company! Never thought I would have to use a boat towing service. Very glad I had a Sea Tow membership when my boat wouldn't start up after taking my son out for a cold February fishing trip. We were able to get a safe tow back despite being in North Carolina waters. (They had to trailer the Sea Tow boat quite a way just to get to a boat ramp near our location). The team at Sea Tow Hampton Roads were kind and professional every step of the way, and even thanked us for being members after my boat was back on my trailer.
The husband is very knowledgeable when talking anything diesel. Helped me find what I needed somewhere else and gave me other options in case it didn’t work out. The people in the other reviews are just mad they had to pay to have their boats towed. BOAT=Break Out Another Thousand
Most waisted money I ever spent in 18 years. Rediculas stipulations,lazy, judgemental and rude attitudes. Husband and wife team and better off raising cattle in Maine somewhere. Better to paddle your yatch than to call them. Do not give them your money ........go somewhere else
