Sometimes there is a long wait, they seem to be a little one sided. They have to be watched or else they will keep passing you by to assist the Hispanic people that are there before they help you. No matter who gets there first. However, stay on your P's and Q's and they pay the best and they are friendly enough.
Went for the 2nd time and got ripped off, deliberately by the female that weighed me. Had the worst attitude and was not trying to be helpful at all. Even though no other customers were there. Gave me aluminum breakage for all my aluminum because of one small peice which could have easily been pointed out and separated....this lady was nasty with me and deliberately ripped me off....my first time going was cool...the gentleman who weighed me was very polite and helpful in explaining the metal prices and what to do to maximize profit...because of him I came back and because of that woman ...I will never go back ...I wonder how much business has she run off with her attitude and scamming ways ....shame
Place is absolute trash! I took 100lbs of copper and the gave me a horrible price and didn’t let me say no, they took it, weighed it, then the lady disappeared for about 15 minutes then came back, hand me cash and disappeared again, I will NEVER give them my business again!!!
From day one, FMR has always assisted me and went out of their way to see to it that I was in and out as fast as possible. They also have made sure that I got the most money available for what recyclables I was bringing to them. Always friendly and professional every time I've done business there. Thank you FMR for assisting me in all my recycling needs.
I sold my crushed aluminum can horde that had been building up with the greatest of ease at this establishment today. Everybody was nice enough and, though not terribly busy, they kept things moving! For me, it was more about making space in my garage (and making enough $$$ for lunch doing it lol) but the price paid also felt mighty fair.
Will return and do recommend!
Horrible! This is the second time I show up and the owner (who has to pay and verify weight on scale) is not here. The workers get here at 9am but the owner or the cashier doesn’t show up ‘till about 10-11ish. It’s freaking ridiculous. Today I showed up in the morning and the owner was no where to be found. I waited for about 20 minutes on her she never showed up so I left. I came back and she’s still not here. I have already unloaded my vehicle so now I have to wait on her, but this is the last time I ever come back. I do not recommend this recycling facility at all.
They don't list their prices anywhere, not a single person spoke a word to me and I didn't get to verify the weight on the scale. I brought in all pre 1945 steel. I'm happy I decided the next day to take my prepped barrels of copper somewhere else where their prices are known and scales are visible and the staff actually speaks to me.
Place is a rip. Off to exact same load to CMC same material same length same weight as all the copper ran to identical machines same distance apart. Cmc paid out 1100 these guys paid 525! What a joke stay far from this place when it comes to. Copper. And non of them speak English
Drove all the way out here from Denton with a full truck and trailer just to be completely ignored. I arrived 8 minutes before closing but all I had was tin and we are quick. Pulled in and asked the first guy we saw “where do we pull in to weigh?”. He looked at us, turned around, then started speaking Spanish (shouting) to another guy and then they both turned and started walking away from us! So we pulled forward, thinking ok, maybe scales are up ahead. Nope, just a dead end. So we turned around and headed back to the front. I had to jump out to check the hitch at one point and both the guys, from before, are just staring at us at that point, not saying anything. We slowed down as we passed them again, giving them the opportunity to fix the “mix up”. I was really hoping they would tell us where to weigh in but NOPE just stared us down for the final time. We are now Driving 10 minutes down the street now to other place! Hopefully we will at least be acknowledged! Rudest experience
DO NOT TRUST THEM! I dropped off a piece of solid steel equipment weighing 796lbs. They gave me pricing for Tin at 0.065 cents, totaling $51.74. When I called to question why I was given Tin Pricing instead of steel that said, "You got a better deal". And, "It's too late to question it because you have already left". Which I totally understand it being to late to question. I assumed they would be honest and give me correct pricing. It's not even about the money, but the dishonesty!
I just got paid $2.45 for bare bright I asked if I can cancel the transaction they said no. At new world recycling they pay about $1 more per pound . It just takes a little longer to get through the process

I’m not lying , there would be no reason for me to lie .. I asked for the metal back when he said $2.45 BEFORE he processed it and he said that he can’t do that . I’m not lying maybe you need to check on your employees because he told me $2.45 I even mentioned it to someone when I left .. you should be looking internally and not accusing customers of lying ..
I have really enjoyed the past 20 years going to the scrap yards they have been very helpful and very kind a lot of us go through a lot out there but we do have our favorites and word of mouth is really really good or it can be really really bad my name is Sonya greca I am from the southside of fort Worth
Terrible terrible service. I showed up today to scrap some wire I was told by the two young guys there they couldn't help me the boss had left and they weren't allowed to do anything and to come back I guess in 45 min. What really um no I'll take my business else where. This is the second time I have been to this facility and had terrible service first time was from the owner herself so Rude and then proceeded to block me in with her truck and walk off 😑 SMH I hope this place will be under new management sooner than later.
Mysteriously closed May 2nd 2021; when their website / hours list them as open Sundays- for 3 hours (10a-1)
Sure would have loved to have that information before leaving the house.
Maybe they’re just out for lunch? How hard would it be to leave a sign? I’d definitely call

A sad excuse for a scrap yard. We had to unload our own trailer. Which was over 10,000 puonds.. they wouldn't use the equipment on hand. I do not recommend coming here. Ik I will never be back. Also the owner will rip u off on weight. It's not by the ton. It's by a gross ton.. which is 2240 pounds... we were ripped of for over 800 pounds.
Deserves a 5 star - Tried a couple of places in the Fort Worth area but was satisfied with this - good response, best price and best service. will definitely go back again. Highly recommended !!
Best prices around. Very polite staff who does the best to get you the best deal. Chris was very kind and helpful. He answered all my questions as well as guide me through the process. I would give this place 10 stars. Next time you have any metal take it down there and see for yourself there the best
Been here many times,best experience,great customer service.They pay competitive prices and very honest people.I would definitely recommend this place.
I researched before going here. We previously went to another scrapyard and turned in 2 bags of cans not crushed and received almost $30.00 dollars. Today we tried this place due to reviews it was 2 lawn size bags of crushed cans about 20 ft of iron 17 gauage and a large price of sheet metal. $13.05 total! That doesn’t count rinsing and crushing every can. I went here because of the reviews I will never return!
Good prices possibly the best.. first time going was the other day and they definitely have my business.
Very satisfied with the way I was treated and how fast the process was.
The owner is nice. If you value your time go somewhere else. One unload bin, one scale, one helper with attitude of 3. My time is important to me, I will go to Northside and be treated like a criminal but get in and out quicker.

Great place for all your scrap metal needs. Very friendly and great prices!! I would say best prices in town! I was there recently and the staff was very courteous to unload my scrap and put it on the scale for me. Most of the other scrapyards don’t do that type of service. I would definitely go back again! Also, easy in and out!
Best place for all scrap metal need. Pays best price on wires, copper, aluminum and steel. Best service in Fort Worth. Owner lady is very helpful and nice to us every time. Best thing is that they have quick turnaround time, no delays and quick service every time. Highly recommended for day to day metal scrap needs.
