I can’t say enough amazing things about this facility. IVF is an incredibly emotional and stressful situation and the staff at shady grove provided so much support and kindness during every stage. My nurse Brittany was always there for any question or concern I had. The NP Elyse so was kind during each scan. They’ve truly made this experience, which I never thought I’d be in an easy and understandable process.

My wife and I unfortunately had a very poor experience at this location, particularly with the front desk staff. They were not welcoming, not caring, and came across as quite discourteous — which is incredibly disheartening when dealing with something as sensitive and emotional as infertility. This is not a path anyone chooses to walk, and compassion should be the standard. Their attitude made us feel dismissed rather than supported. (Especially, Joy) It genuinely seemed as though they lacked understanding of what patients in this situation are going through. Because of the negative interactions at the front desk, we ultimately chose not to return to Shady Grove and continued our fertility journey elsewhere — where we thankfully had a successful experience. If you work in healthcare, especially in a field as delicate as infertility, kindness, empathy, and proper education are essential. Patients deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported during one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.

SGF is an amazing and caring clinic. Always professional and kind. They always did their best to adapt to my schedule and take me in even at the last minute. Thank you to all the staff for everything!!!

I had a disappointing experience at Shady Grove Fertility Clinic. Initially, I was given a lot of false hopes regarding my fertility treatment, which left me feeling frustrated and disillusioned. Instead of focusing on my well-being, it seemed that each visit was an opportunity for them to upsell additional services. I left feeling more like a potential sale than a patient in need of genuine support. I expected more transparency and care, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience. I wasn’t willing to go through certain procedures after they eventually told me the cost. They then tried to get me to go for a different method that they themselves told me had a 2-4% chance of working. Sounds like nothing shy of a cash grab. editing to add, the unprofessionalism and sour attitudes they all including dr’s/nurses have is crazy. all because i didn’t want to continue with their services. you’d think they’d be sensitive with how they speak to people struggling with infertility. poor way to handle it.

I looked forward to my appointments and seeing my care team! From the front desk, to the clinical teams, to the doctors, we loved all of them. What a great group of people!

My growing family is forever grateful to the SGF team and doctors. The staff is beyond kind, compassionate and willing to help ease any concerns / answer any questions at all times throughout your journey. SGF always made us feel like family, and it felt amazing to know you had a team rooting for you every step of the way. Cannot speak highly enough of this staff, and would HIGHLY recommend for anyone who may be considering this journey!

Infertility is one of the hardest, most challenging journeys anyone will have to endure. The staff at Shady Grove made mine a lot less painful! Everyone including the reception employees are so caring. Dr. Connell was very knowledgeable and kind, but I wouldn’t have made it through without my Nurse Practitioner, Elyse! She was the most empathetic and compassionate provider that I’ve had the privilege of knowing! My nurses - Amanda and Brittany were also amazing!

Shady Grove Lancaster is an absolute phenomenal crew! Someone was always available to answer any questions I had and they were wonderful with working with my schedule. After 5 years of treatments we had success with this group. We wouldn’t have our little girl today if it was for Elyse Whiting!

Jessica at the Lancaster office is fabulous, so kind and has such a calm demeanor. Does my blood work each time and I never feel a thing. She actually makes getting blood drawn enjoyable!

Such an amazing team! I could not say enough positive things about Dr. O, our nurse practitioner Elyse and our nurse Britney. I also cannot forget Lori and Jess who both drew my blood work MANY times. This entire team was always so supportive even during the hardest times of our fertility treatments. We would not have our little miracle without them!

Shady Grove Lancaster office is filled with the most wonderful and kind nurses, staff, and doctors alike. Everyone treats you with kindness and understanding and makes you feel completely comfortable. Elyse is truly incredible and so easy to talk to in what can be a difficult situation. Cannot say enough great things about this office and staff!

Going through infertility is NOT a club anyone joins willingly, but if you have to seek some extra support, there is no one I would ever recommend more than Dr. Ochalski. She is by far the BEST, most caring doctor & the way she really "lives" this experience with you is like none other. After 5 years of struggling and this intense IVF process, Dr. O was there for us every step of the way; the good, the bad, and then the rainbow that became our daughter at the end of a very long storm. She was there when we first heard the heartbeat of our miracle, and we got to bring her to meet the Doctor that helped her existence become possible. We are FOREVER grateful for SGF and especially, Dr. Melanie Ochalski.

Great team, always made my husband and I feel welcome and cared about. Staff and the weekend nurse line are always quick to respond. We never felt we were rushed, we were always listened to and always given high quality professional care. Everyone from the front desk to nurses and doctors understands how difficult the process can be, and go above and beyond to create a positive environment for patients. We can't recommend them enough.

There could have better communication from the team as far as follow up and responding to calls, emails, and portal messages. Throughout our journey we had to educate ourselves and manage our own medications when the team lost sight of us. They make over 200 Million a year in revenu so you may need to hold them accountable to follow though and communication. Our Doctor was very nice and presented as honest and genuinely compassionate. With lots of bumps along the way, we did reach our goal with a baby due in 4 months and are appreciative of the service that we paid for.

My husband and I went in blindly and Dr. Nguyen made us feel super comfortable. From her nursing staff to herself, we really were able to have all of our questions answered From our first visit two emails two phone calls to our end. Dr. Nguyen stuck by us through our rough journey, and it was as if she was a part of our family and she was invested 100% emotionally in our adventure as well. That made us feel so connected and confident in her & Shady Grove.

Seeking help with fertility issues is a painful and frustrating process, but having caring and knowledgeable people to come alongside you and give you hope is so important. Our experience with Shady Grove was great, and Dr Nguyen and her staff were so helpful and made the process straightforward, and thankfully helped me get pregnant with our incredible baby girl! We would use them again in the future if needed.

My experience at Shady Grove has been wonderful. The staff always was supportive and kind. Dr. Nguyen never gave up on my case and helped me achieve a successful pregnancy with my now 18 month old. I’m forever thankful!

Dr. Nguyen was so compassionate and understanding to our desire to become parents. She carefully listened to all of our concerns and answered all of our questions. She laid out all of our options and helped us determine our infertility treatment options. With her help, we were able to go through our first round of IVF and conceived! We are the parents of a beautiful little girl. She helped make our dreams come true! We are hoping to return soon to try to add another baby to our family. I absolutely love Dr. Kara!!! She made our dreams of having a baby come true. She set clear expectations and provided answers to all of our questions. She is also available when you need to send her messages. We were successful on our first try!! We’re planning on going back to grow our family! My husband and I here told the only way to have kids was "..with IVF, nothing else will help us." We sought out the help and second opinion of Shady Grove Fertility(at the time still located in Reading.) Dr. Kara Nguyen has been compassionate, empathetic and took our wants/needs into consideration with each step we took forward. Our journey hasn't been an easy one, we have had 7 miscarriages(5 consecutive, a live birth, 2 more consecutive miscarriages.) With the wonderful help and dedication of Dr. Kara Nguyen and our amazing team, we have 1 rainbow baby(who is now 2 years old) and one due any time now. Without the encouragement of our Shady Grove team and help they have provided we may never have made it this far! I cannot recommend their facility, staff and doctors enough at Shady Grove Fertility in Lancaster. Everyone who steps foot into their doors has a story, they do their best here to help you obtain your dreams, even when other doctors tell you "it will never happen." They provided us with options, hope and another path to look at in our Fertility journey. This was the best choice my husband and I made in our journey, and we wouldn't change that for the world. I’ve recommended Shady Grove Fertility to numerous people struggling with getting or staying pregnant. Our experience was wonderful. Easy, efficient, straightforward. They fully explain everything, form a comprehensive plan, and make sure you have a handle on next steps. Going in more often for scans was such a good feeling compared to your OBGYN where you go maybe twice your entire pregnancy for ultrasounds and images. It put my mind at ease seeing the baby on the ultrasound each week or every 2 weeks until we got released to my OB office. We now have a 6 month old healthy baby boy! Very thankful for SGF Doctors, nurses and staff! Highly recommend!

My journey with infertility has not been an easy road, but my experience with Shady Grove has been wonderful. I have had the benefit of working with the Chesterbrook and Lancaster offices and have found each office to be just as responsive to my needs. I was a special case who "didn't follow the rules" and Dr. Nguyen was very willing to work with me through every hurdle we faced. Because of her attentiveness to detail and willingness to work with me, my husband and I are expecting a baby girl this December! I am 44 years old and used 41 year old eggs that I stored after my divorce. The odds were low but I never felt discouraged. I have recommended Shady Grove to several of my friends already!

Shady Grove was the first place we were recommended to for our infertility journey and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. Ever since day 1 we have felt very comfortable and Dr. Nguyen was always there to answer any and all questions! The team is very nice and they become a close little family and support system! I can’t thank them enough for our little miracle that I’m currently carrying!

Dr. Nyguen and the team are absolutely amazing. They walked us through our journey to becoming parents, flawlessly. Kara reassured us constantly that our turn would come! She was right! After three rounds of IUI, we were pregnant with our miracle baby! Here we are, exactly a year later with the most perfect three month old baby girl! I definitely recommend starting your journey with Shady Grove also!
