I parked my car on the edge of this Pep Boy’s lot for an event on Fruitville Pike and they called a tow truck 5 minutes after I parked. They are vindictive and cruel, especially the employee who works there named Steve. I would not trust them with my car. Update: Pep Boys corporate did the right thing and reimbursed me for my towing. While I appreciate their making this right financially, I am still left with the emotional distress this act caused. Overall, I think Pep Boys is a reputable company. I, personally, will avoid the Fruitville Pike business.

Broke my tire sensor by ripping off a seized valve instead of just using a light or some penetrating oil. Or at the minimum informing me of the issue before they broke my sensor and wanted me to pay for a new one despite them being the ones who broke it. Other than that they seemed mostly friendly but I still won’t be coming back

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with the Pep Boys at Red Rose Commons on Fruitville Pike. I scheduled two separate appointments, and both were canceled. I gave them another chance and booked a third appointment for 8:00 AM on a Saturday, only to be told when I arrived that the wait would be 3–4 hours — and this was just for a tire rotation. This location seems to consistently run behind schedule, and they do not notify customers ahead of time about delays or cancellations. It’s extremely disappointing to plan around an appointment, especially early on a weekend, only to have your time wasted. The customer service and communication need serious improvement.

My car died on the turnpike! Was jumped and drove immediately to Pep Boys where they installed a reasonably priced battery with solid reviews at no charge. Whew! Grateful for the prompt service and no drama!

This place struggles mightily with their scheduling. I had a 3:00 appointment for tire rotation. When I made the appointment it was suggested that I call ahead beforehand to check on their schedule. Good thing I did - they were running behind and we moved the appointment back to 4:30. They got me in and out promptly at 4:30, but I think this is more the exception than the rule.

The front dest rep was really cold, he felt disturbed when asked questions he just wanted keys. Even when I showed him other repair work, he did want to be bothered. Had no idea.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Do not go here. Go literally anywhere else and check the reviews. Ask around to people in your life and find a different shop. These people take advantage of those that dont know every little thing about their car. These people take your money and demand even more. I will never ever ever come back. You all should be ashamed of yourselves especially the Gm. Thanks for absolutely nothing!

Awful service, do not use. Booked car for 10am service and inspection - wait for work to be done. 4 hours later, car still not touched and they said another couple of hours. No apologies or remorse from staff. What's the point of an appointment time if you are going to ignore it. Whole day wasted.

i was all good except they decided to survey me the first time i explained in said survey they did not provide an option to simplify unsubscribe. OK fine sent fredback told them not to send anymore surveys . lo and behold got another one today so since this company can't take ...well direct feedback this wasn't a hint i guess here we are on google now. so if you want to o be bombarded wirh bs surveys for basic work that was performed but just ok to then use them. if you value your privacy instead go.local.

I had a great experience at Pep Boys! The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. They got my car inspected quickly and efficiently, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend their excellent service!

This Pep Boys is not the greatest. I had read online they did a 120 Point assessment starting at $110 for people who are potentially purchasing a vehicle so you know whether to move forward or not. I made my appointment, went to the dealership to test drive the truck I might buy, took it to this Pep Boys, excited to get a 120 point printed assessment code read out in order to make my decision. 1 1/2 hours later, the mechanic called me saying, “ there’s nothing that’s the end of the world”….. what?? As I questioned him, he continued to say that. I told him I’d talk to him when I got there. As I walked in, they said it was $80. No print out, not much of an explanation. I asked where’s the codes and print out of the 120 . Points. He said, there’s nothing that’s print out abs that’s just what they call it. I then asked if they checked the towing pigtail abs they said No. they couldn’t because the 5 minute job would take too long. Their guy likes to go home on time…… they also said they didn’t have anything to check it with. I ended up having another mechanic up there in the area look at it and all he did was take a multimeter and checked it. This Pep Boys Stinks!!! Don’t go here!!!

I had a terrific experience yesterday needed a new battery quickly for an out-of-town trip coming up. I was able to book an appointment online they got me in and out within an hour And had the battery in stockSpecial thanks to Corey and all the crew I would recommend this place for a great service

Fast greeting and knowledge. Even went the extra mile to come out to check an see if they could accommodate us. We we're walk-in and got done in an hour!

Got metal in my tire. On a Sunday got me in and out in 3 hours with no appt...emergency. I was home 6 hours later after fixed no problems on interstate in the rain then country roads for 2 hours. Thank you 👌 so much.

I purchased 4 tires online by using the Pep Boys website. Since they showed in stock, I made my appointment to install the tires online . I arrived a little early. They started working on my SUV about 10 minutes later. I was out the door 1 hour and 10 minutes later with 4 new tires that were balanced and the wheels lug nuts were hand torqued to 100 ft-lbs( I watched the technician do this). I was pleased with my service.

My state inspection was overdue while traveling through the area. I booked an appointment online and they got me in right away. Steve at the front counter was extremely cordial and let me know they would call to let me know when it was finished. Went out to grab a bite at a nearby restaurant and got a call as we were finishing. I appreciated the friendliness, professionalism and promptness of the team. I would recommend this Pep Boys for anyone needing prompt service.

The staff explained things clearly to me and were helpful and understanding. I went in to get a blinker switch installed and asked them last minute to also inspect the car and rotate the tires. They got it all done. Overall good experience.

Failed my inspection for a fog light. They wanted $55 for the bulb and $84 for the labor. I chose to let them fail me and fix the bulb myself. I paid that same day and was told to come back with my receipt and then I'd receive my inspection sticker. When I called about coming back I was told they didn't have a licensed service tech working that day that can give me the sticker. They said it would be another week until another tech would be in. So, I called in a week and was told I had to set up an appointment time. I set up an appointment time and showed up and was asked for an additional $41. I was never told I would have to pay any additional money. The sign clearly says in the lobby you get one reinspection at no additional charge. I tried speaking with the manager He was absolutely no help. I asked them to provide the company payment policy which they could not do. I'm very dissatisfied with this business and their lack of communication or professionalism. They may be looking at a lawsuit from me. They're shady and will rob you blind.

Wonderful experience!!! First of all, they were able to get me in the same day, at a time that was really convenient for me! When I arrived, I was greeted by the nicest gentleman (I’m horrible with names so I don’t remember) but they got my car right in. I walked over to the Barnes and Noble to kill some time and before I knew it, my car was done! The same gentleman that greeted me is the one that called me, and also informed me of a few other things my car may need in the future. And, to top it all off, the price wasn’t bad at all! I will 100% be back! ❤️

Overall great shop. But if you book an appointment for a state inspection know that their system allows tons of appointments at the same time and they may not be able to honor it. The staff were courteous and we quickly found a time to change my appointment to but it was frustrating day of.

Horrible with timing at this place had an appt at 130 and somehow got cancelled. I called them and they didn't know why. Told me to come in at scheduled time. I have my 7 month son and here we sit 2.5 hours still not touched. What is the point of an appointment? And then I go to check the status and they tell me oh. We wont get to it. We tried calling. Oh no you didn't. Then they say my old number of which I gave the correct number to Corey when I checked in. So not only did I waste 3 hours of walking around with a 7 month old. My state inspection did not get done. I am beyond frustrated with this place.

Took our car for tires installation, they called that car was ready, when I arrived after work two hours later they had parked the car away from main entrance with all four window’s completely down. So someone could easily take something from inside the car, steal the car or what if I wasn’t able to pick it up same day and it would rain or something. When I complained they just looked at me and said sorry about that. Also the tire rim has a dent on it now. Horrible service, don’t risk your car.

I had a manufacturer tire defect in less than 1k miles from another shop. The staff here managed to arrange for a tire shipment and had the estimate from Thursday of the prior week that the tires would be ready on Tuesday. Turns out, there were delays. The manager apparently drove to another shop to pick up a tire so I wouldn't be without my car for another week. Pretty solid service.

Great customer service and overall experience. I came in for a simple state inspection since I recently moved to Pennsylvania. They had it done in less than three hours AND they were busy! On top of that, they also gave me great feedback regarding my vehicle (things to keep an eye on, etc). Very happy with how it went. I’d recommend this location for sure.

I made an appointment online on a Thursday. Stated that I wanted new tires and an alignment. I called the next day to verify and verify they had the tires I wanted. The customer service lady decided to make a separate appointment. It was very hard to communicate with her. I clearly stated to her that I wanted an alignment and new tires. Fast forward to my appointment on Saturday at 8. It takes them until 1030 to finish my truck. I am rushing because I need to get my son somewhere. So yes, I didn't notice after paying until down the road. No alignment done. I call back asking why it was not done. They said I didn't ask for an alignment. I said yes I did I marked it when I made the appointment online. They state that they can do nothing about it today but next weekend they can. Now I have to take the time next week to get an alignment done but it will not be at pep boys. Customer service hot line is a joke and the communication between them and the store you are using is poor. I have been a customer for many years at pep boys but this was the last time I will be using them. Very dissatisfied with my appointment today.

The people that I spoke to were accommodating and transparent except when I scheduled. When I schedule they said it should take 1hr which is what I expected but when I showed up to my appointment I was told that it wouldn’t be ready until the afternoon. My appointment was 9am and my car was not ready until about 2pm. It’s fine if it took that long I just wish I was told ahead of time so I could have planned accordingly because I thought I was gonna sit there for one hour and then be able to go to work, but that changed and I had to Uber back to my apartment, work from home, and then Uber to pick it back up. Also, their emissions tester was not working, so that made the appointment longer because they had to send my car somewhere else and then bring it back to finish inspection. Then 2 hours after I got my car back I opened my trunk to see that my car was not put back in original condition—they changed my brake light at the top backside of my car—they didn’t but the cover back on, which I was able to do on my own, but they could have at least checked that my car was back in original condition before returning it to me. So basically if they were just transparent about the equipment and timeframe when I was scheduling and returned my car back the way I gave it to them. This review wouldn’t have been as lengthy.

Great shop to visit for quick and quality service. The team is also cordial, helpful and knowledgeable. Brought my car for an inspection and an Oil Change. Keep up the good work Darell, Corey and Mr. Izzy.
