I shop here frequently and have always had good experiences, but today was really disappointing. I went to place my go-back items on the rack by the fitting room, and an older employee (I believe her name was Tammy) began yelling at me, saying I needed to put everything back where it “belongs". I explained that I come here often and have never been told that before, and she responded sarcastically with “well great.” If I had known exactly where the items belonged, I would have gladly put them back myself — but guessing and putting them in the wrong spot wouldn’t have helped anyone. I ended up handing her my items because I was trying to do the right thing. I could have just dumped them like some people do, but I didn’t. The interaction felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, and it honestly made me not want to come back.

not the same at all. prices were affordable, staff looked happy, clothes looked clean. now it’s the complete opposite. i’m not sure what the manager sam is doing but she isn’t turning this pace into a dump. absolutely ruining this store

I've been going to this location since before moving to Pennsylvania and the prices have gone dramatically too high. Used items as I'd they were brand new? Really? I turned back around when I went in.. sorry but I'd rather go else where. I will miss it but not for those prices. I've donated and the prices they charge alone for recycled bags not with their logo but from another competitor is ridiculous.

I used to LOVE shopping here but lately their prices are non consistent and to high. I seen several items today that I can get brand new for the same price AND have that same item shipped. They need to get better with this. They should have the employees trained to use the Google lens to see what the going price is for the items new and then take the price lower since these items are used

What has happened to thrift stores? Think about this.... THRIFT.... why is everything so pricey in these places?.the clothes started around $7.00 and up. I've been to places where the clothes are around $3.00. Who's profiting from this stuff? Some of the things in households were mind boggling...at a yard sale wouldn't be sold probably at all or maybe for $1.00 were going for $9. No...not collectibles. So much junk. I couldn't wait to get out. I was asked if I was a hero for a discount. I said what constitutes a hero? The cashier paused trying to think of what types of jobs are hero worthy. I told her what I did and she asked me to prove it with a card. A card? Luckily I had something to share with her and she paused again and said oh ok, I'll give you that. I will never return. How's that for being a hero.

I enjoy donating items here because someone comes to my car for the packages rather than people leaving their donations outside the building. The store is bright, clean, and very well organized.

This Community Aid is not as massive as Harrisburg's however it does have the weekly good finds. I love this store!

Such a nice thrift store, the people working there were amazing. Prices are good as well, very clean.

This used to be my FAVORITE thrift store to donate too and shop. Not anymore. This is the 3rd time I’ve left empty handed. Their “deluxe” section is slowly growing and the number of quality name brand items on the actual floor is dwindling to nothing. Even today the racks were pretty bare. Anything name brand or new with tags isn’t priced below $19.99 anymore. Following in goodwills foot steps.

I live out of state and found this place to be a very clean very friendly store! I found what I was looking for immediately we were pressed for time so I didn’t get to browse but certainly will before returning to my home state. Highly recommended!

Super clean. Organized. The only people who will look at you funny if you’re disabled are the customers. The staff? It’s like I’m normal. Great place to stop and look around, great place to buy things. You NEVER know what you’ll find- there are some COOL things there. Worth. The. Trip.

Used to love this place but suddenly I guess they hired someone new who thinks pricing claw machine plush toys or retail 5 dollar squishmallows that were originally from a drug store for 12-30 Dollars USD. Wild to me that they get these items for FREE and attempt to charge OVER the retail price. Very sad a place that is supposed to be an affordable place for ppl to get things, especially toys for children. Awful hope they fix this

I come here occasionally with a group I am a part of which serves disabled people. Twice now I have had panic attacks at this store due to the staff being FAR too slow. I am on a time limit and they purposely move as slowly as possible when they start to see a line form, having full conversations with everyone. I'm sure some people appreciate that, but I just want to pay for what I picked out and leave. The line was nonexistent. The person in front of me had a full cart, so I switched lines, and the customer who cut ahead of me at the last second had TWO items. I should not have been waiting as long as I did before giving up when there were 3 staff working the front. I had to drop everything because the one cashier who was still working on ringing up those 2 items chose to lose the sale of a full cart of mostly full price clothing items which I needed. Trying to convince me to finish my purchase when I was in the process of leaving and clearly having a panic attack was beyond extremely embarrassing. They didnt need to draw attention to someone having a panic attack, which they caused, and make me feel worse about it for trying to care for myself! I left the store in tears without purchasing anything because the staff made me so uncomfortable when a member of my group told me to hurry up and they were not respectful of my time and disability. Highly unprofessional of them to turn it into a scene and get everyone staring rather than treating me like a person!! AWFUL!!! Absolutely mortifying experience. I don't feel comfortable coming back to this store and will be letting my group know about the incident.

I used to love this store. Things changed about a year ago. They now check ebay prices and try to squeeze every dime out of an item that was given to them for free!! Only a matter of time before people stop going, like me. I guarantee they are selling the "good" stuff online following goodwill greedy model, because I haven't found anything worth buying in many trips besides the stuff they have behind the counter at full retail price. I used to recommend this place often, I can't anymore.

Echoing similar reviews, the prices here are worse than ebay prices on similar items. Recently, I purchased a copy of Halo CE for the original Xbox, it was behind the counter. I asked the clerk if I could look inside before I buy, not only did he refuse to let me check inside, he LIED and said that the game includes the original game manual and the disc has no scratches. He even referenced the "423" code on the red tag, saying that it's a premium find. Much to my surprise, when I got home not only did the disc have scratches (and smudges), but it did not have the manual in it. This game goes for $10 on ebay...listed here for $12.99 RED tag! I can deal with the price gouging, but being blatantly lied to is crossing the line. As a life time thrifter, and fan of community aid, this really hurt. I've also purchased other blurays from here (which were taped shut) out of respect for the store I didn't open them till I got home, and they were missing discs.

Such a great place to find good clothes for a great price and amazing staff! On 11/20/23 around 2:00pm, there was this man working the fitting rooms and he is always so nice! I always wear headphones and he always asks me what I’m listening to and then gives me music recommendations, he makes the experience so much nicer! I’ve seen him quite a few times and he is so nice to everyone and is extremely helpful. I always leave here feeling happy, this is a great store!

Wonderful place to shop if y'all full figured or plump. It was spectular to see the array of books that were very neatly organized. I was amazed on all the wonderful people in which I met on my journey...I prayed with a woman who just lost her son......rest assurances she was elated ???????

I absolutely love this store! The variety of clothing for women is incredible. I can always count on finding business attire at great prices I have bought many pieces of clothing by Anne Klein, The Limited, Loft, New York & Co, and many more top notch brands. Thank you Community Aide.

I am here to compliment the staff, namely "Missy", who has rung us up on more than one occasion. She is absolutely jubilant behind that counter and it shows. She is so friendly and cheerful and helpful and grateful for our patronage, it makes us feel great just shopping there. What a pleasure to find someone so happy with their job and so happy to be helpful! In addition, the store itself is nice, well maintained, clean and has a large variety of items. It's spacious, so you never feel cramped in there, even when it's crowded. The prices can be the only drawback, on occasion they're a bit high on some items for what they are, but they seem to always have some sort of sale going on where paying full price can be avoided.

My family and I love this place. There are lots of great finds, and we go on half off Wednesdays. So always getting a great price too. Staff is always friendly and nice. The store, for the most part, is pretty clean and well maintained. They really do a great job here with everything. I'm glad a place like this exists for everyone. Thank you.

We enjoy this place - there are some good finds for good prices. Especially on Wednesdays, which is half priced days, where everything is half off. My husband goes here fairly often and finds some good items here sometimes. Some days, he might find nothing, and other days he finds a lot. So, it can be hit or miss, but I definitely recommend checking it out because you never know what you may find! But overall, we prefer this place to other thrift stores because it has better prices compared to other thrift stores.

I had a pleasant experience here. I got some deals. It's a great place to buy baby and kids clothes. Apparently Wednesday is family day where everything is 50% off. Healthcare and first responders get a discount on Fridays. They do play Christian music in their stores. It doesn't have a musty smell like some thrift stores do.

Incredible selection of clothes for the family as well as household items of all kinds. I love the bright lighting, ample fitting rooms, wide aisles and plenty of checkouts. Also, women will find clothing sorted by color with most items tagged​ with the size! Slacks and jeans are sorted by color and by size. The proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations that make a difference in our community. Tuesday is senior day with the majority of items half price; Wednesday is family day. Check it out! 6/1/2020 I have to add something to my review, not about the store itself, but about reviewers. Most thrift stores get the contents they offer for free; of course. But we all need to bear in mind that some items are not clean or in condition to sell. It costs $ to dispose of items. It costs $ to run the electricity, the heat, the AC, pay the staff, clean the store, advertise, etc. "Free" to the thrift store does not mean they're making 100% profit on every item! Anyone who wants yard sale prices can go to yard sales and bicker. Everyone else, realize that much of the funds raised to back into organizations in our community, and help so many people.

I love this store. If you need anything, and I mean anything, stop here first. Why pay full price when you can pay less and on Wednesdays even less since they take an additional 50% off their price on Wednesdays? Its clean, organized, and the staff are friendly. Its a great place for baby clothes and all second hand clothes, books, games, household wares, shoes, purses, pictures...etc....if you want it they more than likely have it! Take a look you wont be disappointed.
