We were broke down in Hood River and could not find anyone that could come and get our 36 1/2’ motorhome and tow trailer. Vans sent us an angel, Carlos! He showed up to tow us and sent us off with a smile. He towed us 4 1/2 hours and led it ready to be towed to a shop! Gob Bless you Carlos!
Super easy to schedule online and the people at the front desk were super nice. It was easy to pick up our U-Haul and return it! We would definitely rent from here again!
That being said, it being our first time renting a U-Haul, there are some fees we did not expect. U-Haul online said it was $29.95 to rent the 15’ truck for 6 hours, but there are other fees like a ‘rental tax’ that was $12.59 we didn’t know about and a few small others. Our total for the day, for a local move, ended up being $93 with the rental charge, MI charge, the Safe Move, and the other fees. Still would rent from this specific place again, super easy and nice people!
I traveled from two states away and originally had a different drop off UHaul location but chose Vans as it was closer to my new home. It was an easy process to look over the UHaul and nice to receive a friendly welcome to Portland.
I should have looked around more before agreeing to this rate. $450 to tow less than 1/2 mile. Then they took 5 days to get the receipt to me after asking for it multiple times. Do your research first.
Once again Bob, Ken, and the guys at Van’s Towing came through in the clutch! They moved a heavy machine for me on two days’ notice and I got the white glove service from Matt and Austin. Call these guys when you are in need! This is the second time I have used them for this type of work and they delivered again (no pun).

After patiently waiting for two hours I call to see where they are, they had to cancel on me and didn’t even give me notice when they knew they were not going to make it
My work van broke down today on the Burnside Bridge in downtown Portland. It's a large van and I called probably 12 different tow companies before calling Van's. All of them quoted me a crazy amount for getting towed less than a mile and they all estimated that it would be multiple hours before they could get to me. Van's told me it would be an hour and quoted me the best rate out of all of them. The driver showed up in 30 minutes, which was half the time they had told me, and had the van hooked up and ready in probably 2 minutes. The driver was super friendly, extremely professional, and got the van and myself back to my shop in no time. I was extremely impressed and highly recommend these guys to anyone and everyone that needs towing in Portland. If the situation ever arises where I need a tow again, this will be the company that gets my business every single time.
There was one way my container was getting out of the driveway between the house and retaining wall . Carlos lifted and shifted it under and over and was in and out in no time. He was very impressive .
Carlos at vans towing really made our day. Thank you so much for saving our Motorhome. We appreciate all ur hard work in getting it here safely and undamaged.
Keys were locked in my car last night so I called this place. I was at the Laquinta Inn across the street.
They wanted to charge me $400 for them to cross the street. Said it was "labor" and for the drive. Across the street. Plus it was going to take 40 minutes.
Busting my window and replacing it would cost me half the price.
Called Ilan lock & key. Guy was there in twenty minutes, and it was $120.
Showed up to Wilsonville with a flatbed tow truck to haul my classic Triumph Spitfire after I waited for E&E Towing, who never showed up and still cannot be contacted. I recommend VANS TOWING!
Worst U haul location in the country. Very unprofessional, dismissive and they ARE NOT open 24h. Beware of them.
UPDATE: I wash charged by this location for 150$ cleaning fee. Clearly a scam, DO NOT MAKE BUSINESS WITH THEM.
On Saturday, October 19th I rented a cargo van from a sales associate named Vin. When we arrived, the van was parked on a dirt Hill at an odd and unsafe angle. We asked Vin if he'd move it down to the street for us, which involves driving over the sidewalk. In response, Vin snapped at me and said "It's not rocket science."
When we returned the van, the same sales associate came out and inspected the van, all the while making snide comments about earlier customers.
On Tuesday October 22nd, we rented a van from sales associate Vin one more time. When we returned it, he made a big deal about charging us extra for not topping up the gas. When I called him back, on the way to gas station, asking for clarification and how much to fill it up, he hung up on me.
Overall every interaction with Vin was very threatening, lascivious, and uncomfortable and I won't be renting from this location again.
The other attendant, Daniel, however was a joy to work with and very pleasant.
Was worth the wait. Driver was very speedy and professional on hooking up a 35ft class C motorhome and hauling it to our choice of repair shop. Thanks Carlos.
