I love Sun Auto on Tropicana. They are honest. I recently bought a used car from the dealership and have 75k more miles on my dealership warranty. They did a full inspection during my oil change, noticed services that are dealership warrantied and things that are not, like flushing the brake fluid, etc. that I have to do to keep the warranty. Love the team.

They didn't recheck their job the first time they repaired my car until I went back and asked them to drive my truck so they could see the same error coming up. They quoted me wrong on catalyst converter on phone and didn't respect proce they had quoted me and lastly they didn't check my oil before before giving my car which caused my motor to get damaged.

No complaints, appreciate their honesty. We have taken our cars there for over 2 years,

Reps were knowledgeable. Service was quick and efficient. Price was fair. After my oil change they surveyed the car and provided info on what I may need to address next. Solid spot.

I go in there to see why my truck be acting up. I was told they no longer use a certain finance anymore and sent me another app for something else. It wouldnt download on my phone and I got told it was my phone and I was trying to get it and the link kept getting sent to another phone number. Not sure what was going on. Nobody was real helpful. So I left. I just wanted to find out whats wrong with my truck and didnt have money for the diagnostic test.

I get that is the holydays but that's not reason to try and get extra money from people, in the last 2 weeks my girl has been in and out of this place and every time something gets "FIXED" something else pops up! they just told her "Your engine light came on because this specific part, and she said That just got worked on earlier this year, their response " well, whoever did that job, gave you a bad part" guess who it was, SUN AUTO, and their response pretty much "Oops if you want it fixed is goanna cost you 2k, so you are telling me we need to pay you for a something you already got paid to do that you already admitted You did a bad job or used Bad parts and you still want us to pay you to fix it?

SCAM WARNING! Took my Jeep here cause it needed the EVAP smoke test. As a naval mechanic, I’m not ignorant to my cars functioning and I knew what they needed to do and how it works. They sent me an estimate with pictures of 17 things that needed replacement… not a single picture of smoke leaking from the EVAP components, then conveniently for them, every single part of the EVAP system needed repair. It’s “almost like” they didn’t even do the smoke test and just tried to bill me to replace every single part they could without checking to see what part actually needed replacement. I wish I had read all these reviews BEFORE dropping my car off. You can tell that all of the four star reviews are fake and the only legit reviews are 1 star. If you’re reading this before you drop your car off there save your money and go elsewhere. It would be cheaper to take it to the dealership than this place. Also their “thorough inspection” missed a leak I’ve had for a while that I’ve already identified, so it’s not a real “inspection”, so much as a “just go in and find as much BS to charge this chump for as possible”

I recently visited Sun Auto, and Cole was the person who helped me out. Although there was a little miscommunication and I ended up taking my vehicle somewhere else this time, I honestly wish I had just stayed with them. Sun Auto is a great place with honest people who truly understand how important it is to get back into your vehicle as soon as possible. They really work hard to make that happen. Their communication is excellent, and even though I wasn’t able to get the work done there on this visit, I will definitely be back for future repairs. I genuinely appreciate the way they treated me, and I highly recommend them.

I needed to change my left headlight bulb and Sun Auto was convenient, since they were within walking distance from me. Cole was especially nice! They gave great service, fast, friendly and did exactly what I needed them to, they didn’t overcharge me or tell me that I needed to fix additional things, like so many other places do.

We worked with Cole and he did an excellent job of explaining everything that needed to be done. They were able to get us right in and take care of everything the day we dropped it off. I’ve used them for other things in the past and I’ve always had a good experience.

I was taking my lab Lucas to a a dog eye specialist for eye surgery when the serpentine belt broke. Of course no safe place to pull over. The damage was extensive. But Sun Auto, knowing I lived 125 miles away pulled out all the stops, got the many parts and had it running by end of the day. The AAA tow truck driver was right, a top notch auto repair shop. If I lived in the area they would be getting my future business.

Sun Auto was fantastic! They are VERY friendly and easy to work with and fixed my car in 2 days because of the issue of finding parts. I think that was very quick! Cole was the most pleasant person, I really thought he was terrific! All in all, I will definitely use them again for any issues that may arise and recommend them HIGHLY! THANK YOU SUN AUTO!!!

Where do I start? I brought my car in 4 days ago to get a brake checkup. Brakes were fine but they found a few oil leaks and needed to fix my valve cover gasket as well as clean the oil... $1,300 later my car was ready for pick up. I went and got it before work and to my surprise it was driving horribly... vibrating, loud popping noises and oil temp spiking. Finished my shift and drove it home with all of the same symptoms and when I returned home my coolant dumped all over my garage and driveway and my oil temp was through the roof and it started smoking. Long story longer, I got it towed back to Sun Auto so they could fix what they had created (remember I just went in for a brake check.) When Thomas called back he mentioned that out of nowhere and too no fault of theirs my motor mount randomly blew up and disintegrated and thats what causing the vibration I was feeling. Thomas assured that "these things happen and there is nothing we can do about it as we didn't touch that" and it would be another $1,100 to fix... (remember I just went in for a brake check with no vibrating or any other issues.) I believe that the technician had surely messed with the motor mount and caused an issue knowing very well that I would be unable to prove that they did anything wrong and they could hang not giving my car back over me if I did not pay for the fix since the car was not drive-able. When I received the report for the motor mount issue, to no ones surprise and not listed on the first report, my front struts and shocks were not recommended to be replaced (remember I just went in for a brake check.) Being taken advantage of and needing my car I paid and went to pick it up. Upon arrival Thomas looked and me and said "we have the quote ready for when you need your other motor mount and struts and shocks replaced" with no remorse for the unprofessional runaround they put me through the past 2 days. Very much proving that I am sure their technicians are fixing problems and creating others to keep business booming. This place is a SCAM. Do not do not do not take your car there or you will be trapped in replacement after replacement and it is not worth your time or money. Their technicians are scammers and the management knows it. That being said Darrell was great and if you do go in for some unforeseen reason, talk to him.

I've took my car THREE times to sun auto to get a check engine light repaired. EACH time they claimed to fix it only for it to pop back up on the way home or a few days later. They are usually great about their work so this is super disheartening.

I have had a 5-star mechanic, but he's not open on the weekends and I have to drive 20 miles round trip to get to him. I took a chance on Sun, as they had very good reviews and I was NOT disappointed! He found me a $35 off coupon, and it was done ahead of time. Rotated my tires for free. It's only my first time, but so far so good!

I had yet another really good experience here. Booked my appointment online, which is so convenient. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation and got a full inspection, too. The inspection showed two things, one that didn't surprise me, so they took care of that at the same time and another that I need done, but not right away. I really appreciate their service. JD was professional, kind and helpful. He showed me pictures and explained things in an easy to understand but not condescending manner and applies no pressure to do unnecessary work. I appreciate the honesty and care provided here, and that's why it's my go-to place for reliable maintenence.

I brought my car here because I took it to the dealership for an oil change and they gave me a list of things that needed to be done. I brought it here cause I wanted a second opinion and felt like the dealership was way overpricing me. JD was awesome and super helpful! I actually have trust for this company now vs the dealership for sure!

Been taking both our cars here over the past year. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Amazing job is always done and they take pictures of what they find wrong to show you before they do any work on vehicles. Always done right the first time!!!

My truck broke down first thing in the morning. Somehow Sunrise got me in and fixed same day! They did a quick and accurate diagnostic, followed up quickly with a quote. They had to replace my fuel pump and I had them do a few other maintenance items at the same time. I would absolutely recommend them!

These guys actually charged me for a vapor canister that they didn’t install charging me $500. I took my truck in to see why it was stalling and they gave me a list of things that needed to be replaced, so I told them to get it done. The check engine light never went off and the truck started stalling again. I took it to Auto Zone to see why the light is still on and yep the VAPOR CANISTER. I bought one from eBay for $150 installed it myself in twenty minutes and the trucks running fine. So basically I got SCAMMED! Here’s pics of the canister I took off all dirty and grimy, mind you it’s on top of the spare tire bolted underneath the bed of the truck. It should look brand new. This is bad business! $500 don’t fall off trees.

Absolute ROBBERY! They charged me $575 to change the window switches on my truck. The part costs $25 on Amazon with one single electrical plug. Unfortunately, I was pressed for time and had to get it done ASAP. So they charged me $550 for labor to unplug it and plug in the new one. I will never go back to this place.

Exceptional service and timely repairs. They contacted my extended warranty service claims center, detailed every part and item made sure the repairs and parts needed were covered. Completed all repairs within 24 hours. This was a major repair list from AC to shocks, struts, control arms and alignment. All completed in a timely manner. Communication was excellent. I have using Sun Auto on Tropicana for years. It’s the trust you put into the management and the technicians for your vehicle needs.
