These people are racist. If you speak Spanish you make almost 10x on your stuff. They just ripped my family off. We had what should have been at least $1500 worth of aluminum, but they got mad because we didn’t speak Spanish, and they made us dump the aluminum with the scrap metal. This place either needs new employees, or they should be shut down.
I want to hear Sunday cashed in some of the scrap metal I had a total of 39.00 I received a fake 20 from the cashier of course I didn't look at it right away because I had my puppy with me when I got back to my friend's house we went to the store I went to use the $20 bill which was fake I called and let the recycling place know and she said well we get our money from the bank then how the hell did I get a fake 20 will not be coming back here check your money if you go there
All the staff was very helpful but Jose was exceptionally helpful Jose was exceptionally helpful thanks to him I will definitely be going back there again
Ok I had copper 1 which and they said copper 2 and paid me two dollars and ninety cents they didn't even pour out all my other copper in the bag I had a copper bar weight at 100 grams and a monopoly piece of copper mix with silver weight at 40 grams so I m so getting me a lawyer to look into this matter of scams and false advertisement I really needed my money two pay for my application fee to get out of homeless living on the streets in Vegas I don't smoke hard drugs ,I also need my OSHA card for my new job n needed to pay for my cloths foe work I'm so disappointed how you and your crew played with my goods that God bless me to bless your company disappointed customer in las Vegas nv
I absolutely love this place it has saved my life when I was homeless it is a great environment the people are always friendly I've never had a problem with them they're just cool guys and I definitely recommend going to champion and recycling I travel all the way from the East side to get there and now I'm on the North side so I travel that far too
Paid good for both aluminum and copper. Staff was generally friendly and helpful. Happy they were open Sundays as a lot of recycling places are closed. Second time here and will definitely keep coming back
I've been a loyal customer of Champion Recycling for years, and they consistently deliver outstanding service. Whether I'm dropping off a small batch of recyclables or requesting a pickup for a larger project, their team is always prompt and efficient. The quality of their recycling process is evident in the clean and organized facility. What sets them apart is their dedication to value. Their fair pricing, combined with their commitment to sustainability, makes them my go-to choice for recycling services. I can't recommend them enough!
There is no longer separating your recyclables at the recycle center due to the state rules city ordinance NRS codes come prepared great customer service clean and fair prices and if you're lucky you'll see Monica Lopez there.
1st trip here on 03-30-23. Great place to recycle. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Carts are available to bring your loot to the scale so you don't have to carry it. Very quick and easy visit. A+
I like this place they are all nice to me mostly I just have problem with one thing the last time I went my father just passed away so I wasn't thinking right i had #1 copper and 24 pounds of it and he only paid me $38 and he just told me that they paid $3.20 for NM
#1 i don't know im going back tomorrow to talk to him because I have more to sell I just don't like getting ripped off it was the day your power got turned off so maybe that had something to do and I actually went back and talked to the owner and good man he took care of me I give them five stars 🌟
Champion is by far on point with prices, they make sure I am understanding what prices they are giving me and what exactly they are considering the materials as.. I had to rewrite and applaud them
We switched to Champion Recycling when the company we had been using for the past several decades dropped us because we were not recycling enough. We have been with Champion Recycling now for about 2 years. Each time we call in for recycling, each person we deal with is providing us with exceptional customer service from the individual answering the phone to the driver performing the exchange. Thank you!
Everybody that works here is very respectful very nice to deal with I would never go back to SA Recycling ever again those people are horrible to me but these guys are A1 gentlemen and ladies thank you very much I appreciate going to a nice place to take my scrap material will continue to come here and take care of you guys as you take care of me thank you and God bless.
The people leaving positive reviews are the addicts you see selling questionable materials because there is no other explanation for the HORRIBLE prices. Look at the difference between the two (look at the weight)…same wire, different label, scam prices.
Love this place Jordan and Red are the best and they for sure give you the best prices in town. That is a fact you will not find a place that gives you better prices then champion. I love this place staff is friendly and super helpful. Anyone writing a bad review was most likely rude or had visions of grandeur about the price of there scrap because champion pays the most in las vegas . I have check several times and they always pay top dollar.
The owner and the team of the place are so nice. I normally don’t recycle often but when I do it’s with them. Ontop of that, my truck died on me! The lights where on while I was in line and the owner and an employee came out to jump my car. They where very kind and patient. Would go again and recycle with them :)
Best place in town hand's down pay The Best and are happy to see you there appreciative for your business and it's that that will always keep me coming back forsure All the staff are helpful and good positive attitude champion is#1 in my book..
Efficient, courteous and professional I was especially impressed with the cashier area that had mist piped into the air and I know the reason: because when then the air is moist the dust settles and it doesn't fly around as much therefore making it more breathable air. I would give them my business again although my true profession is guitars now not scrap metal anymore good job anyway guys and girl 💅🎸😍
Very friendly people and personal. They load you pretty quickly considering the load.
Thanks guys.
Drivers to pick up from I-95 go west on Sahara and S on S Valley View Blvd to Meade Ave. The entrance is tied but you can make it. God bless 🙏 you all.
This place stole from us in bright daylight.
I had to call the police on them because the manager didn't want to pay us for the metal we took on 04/24/2020. On top of calling the police I filed a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau to get my money from the metal they stole from us. I'll be uploading the pictures from when the police arrive after I called them to the business just to show the Champion Recycling business we didn't do anything he accused us of.
This so call manager not only stole our metal he called us thieves in front of all employees and customers, he cursed me out and kick us out the yard just because the previous week HE made a mistake on over paying us but instead of calling us to let us know he waited until we went back to keep our metal and calling us names in front of everybody. Never being so embarrassed in my live for something so little we were humiliated in front of a lot people for something that could of been easily fix. My husband tried to fixed the misunderstanding by offering to return the overpayment from the previous week but the manager wouldn't listen interrupting him by saying we were thieves and to get out of the premises!!
Needless to say that on the day he “overpaid” us 5 employees reviewed our recycling, including him; so it caught us off guard what we were accused of.
I used to collect and recycle aluminum cans when I was a kid. I remember collecting bags and bags of my old man's Coor's cans and hauling them to the local recycler and coming home with my $10-$15. I was 8 or 9 and it was the early 80's so it wasn't a bad haul.
Fast forward almost 40 years and I'm back in the game. I go through Coke like water so since last summer, I had amassed five 30-gallon garbage bags of crushed Coke cans. I looked through the various reviews of recyclers and decided on Champion.
When you first pull in, you might not be sure what to do. Just drive all the way to the back of the lot and you'll see a two-story building with the Champion signage on it (see pic). Once parked, grab one of the wheeled bins, fill it with your payload, and wheel it over to the scale (see pic).
If it's your first time there, you'll be asked for your ID. Once your recyclables are weighed, you'll get a printed ticket which you take over to the window to get paid (see pic). Aluminum was 30¢/pound when I went so $16.20 for the five bags. If you crush your cans and use the 30 gallon bags, it's about $3 for each full bag.
Both the gentleman at the scales and the lady working the payout window were very, very nice. Looking forward to completing the circle of life (buying more Coke with the $16.20 and creating more empty cans) and coming back to Champion Recycling next summer.
Thanks for a great experience!!!
Friendly no nonsense staff. . Very helpful, and courteous. You see all kinds of people there , and ALL are made welcome.... they take time with each customer's business .
And I like the water spritzers for when your in line.
Staff has been nice and helpful. The only complaint I have is the way the parking area is set up. It's too small and there are no parking lines so everyone parks wherever they can. It can be very confusing and quite hectic. It's a good thing the line moves fairly quick.
Super nice, helpful and honest! Good prices, easy to get to if you're coming from the East just take DI all the way West (takes you under the Strip and over the freeway so you miss all the traffic!)
If you're thinking of scrapping your older vehicle (I asked him to about my 2002 Blazer - cracked engine block) he was straight up with me and said I'd only get about $100 - $150 , that I'd do better putting it on Craigslist as is where I might get $1,000. (Thanks for your honesty!)
We absolutely love this place, great service from all staff members, great prices.... always a pleasure to do business with this company and visiting them... like family... thanks guys... I do say it would be awesome to see a woman on there team...lol..
Prices 30 - 40 % below National average. 40 % below Southwestern average. Limited items accepted and limited classifications recognized. That said, they also usually have the best prices in Las Vegas, unfortunately.
