Had a difficult time sourcing this transmission until I found these guys. Made a call to make sure they have the right one. They double checked for me to reassure they did. Made it easy for me to make the drive to San Diego from Los Angeles. Definitely would do business again.
Bought a VQ35DE from them and had them install the motor into my g35 coupe as well. So far so good. Fairly priced and quick turnaround 10/10 would recommend doing business with these guys

I needed an engine and transmission for my 2007 and 2004 Honda Element. I called to JDM Westside and talked to David. He was super helpful on the phone and in person at the warehouse. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what was in the warehouse and where it was. He helped me out and I felt good about my purchase. Would recommend!
Just picked up an engine, decent price, the guys i dealt with there were cool. Havent put in the engine yet so hopefully all is good, seems to have compression, i scoped the cylinders and the pistons and walls look good for a used engine.
Update: Its been a few weeks since i put the engine (K20A) in my car and so far so good, did some updates while the engine was out. New timing chains and guides, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket and spark plugs. Everything seems to be working properly.
The only place to buy a quality used engine. I bought one for my Prius which saved me thousands at other shops. Don’t waist your time with others since shops from SD to OC order from this place. Honest and reliable.
Just got an engine from them. Shipping was fast, they had it out same day. Engine looked like the pictures online. It fired up right away and is running smooth (30 miles so far). Only 4 stars because based on the buildup in the intake ports the milage seems quite a bit higher than advertised. No comment on the customer service, Will update if I have any issues during the warranty period.

Went to buy a engine advertised at a certain price i drove 2 hrs and 30 min to buy the engine and when I get there it was a totally diffrent price the guy said it has happened before,after a couple of people going and not honoring the price on website you would think they would fix it but no too bad you can't leave 0 stars
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! If I can give zero stars I would!! This place is an absolute scam!! Please beware. I bought an engine from these guys with installation and it was hell!! Car kept failing and they kept trying to fix it. After numerous attempts, car still wasnt in good working condition. As soon as 30 days warranty was up, they wiped their hands clean saying that there is nothing they can do. Without a care in the world, they said they were not going to do anything to help us. They are horrible people. Don’t trust them or their service
Stay away from these crooks!!! I know buying a used transmission is a risk. Advertised as 50,000 or less miles. Had it delivered to my shop and installed. Put 8 miles on it and it blew up. Yes it was installed by a certified mechanic. The pan was full of metal. I called David and said it was bad and he immediately suggested I was scamming him. He asked how do I know the shop added enough fluid etc etc. they warranty doesn’t cover nothing!! shipping labor or anything. They said they shipped me a transmission last on a tuesday. So I kept asking for a tracking number but no answer half the time. I finally get ahold of them the following Monday and they said they weren’t shipping the replacement until they get the old one back. I explained it’s in the car and I would ship it back after getting the replacement installed. They said no. Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

I don’t usually do this.. but my experience purchasing an FA20 Imported From Japan with 45k Miles on it, I bought this Engine from JDM WestSide in December of 2023, I’ve been saving up for months for this engine because my car has been sitting for a whole year waiting for a new engine to get mounted. Purchased this engine, and it arrived two weeks later, we get it installed a week later we did the little tweaks that they mentioned prior to purchasing the engine, did the mechanical work that was needed, done by a Subaru Tech, and the engine does not work, smoke coming out of the exhaust, check engine light, showing codes of P0303 and P0300; Misfire in Cylinder 3, they checked the compression on the Cylinders and it could barely keep up at 30 and , this was all installed professionally by 2 Techs at Subaru. Called JDM WestSide, and try to see if we could figure something out, because on the agreement form it says guarantees from rod knock, cracked block, and Internals for 30 days, but they refused to help and said they could not do anything about it. Months later now it’s June 2024, we’re fixing the misfires and cylinders and all that to get the engine to work, still haven’t been able to drive the car even after mounting the engine, been saving up another arm and leg to pay to fix it, the mechanics open the engine and just straight up told me the short block is done for, it’s damaged and they tried to fix it or something because they used some sort of white glue sealant for to seal the heads, and Subaru mechanics and from factory uses a gray glue sealant. So after well over $8k hard worked for money, is now down the drain, and yet to have a car because these people don’t stand by their word. :/ just watch out
Great pricing and the engine I received was good! The only issue I had was with the shipper they chose to use. My order was placed on a Sunday and JDM WestSide called Monday to confirm everything(which is great) and was told it would be 2 or 3 days for delivery in Texas-perfect! The shipper called to schedule a delivery on Friday but I was not available on Fridays so how about another day the following week? It was at this point I was informed they only deliver on Fridays. WTH kind of shipper ONLY delivers on Fridays????? Other than working through that, I had a great experience with my purchase and would definitely recommend.
Ordering what I was looking for and the helpful manager, Rene, made my purchase hassle-free. Even when my order didn’t qualify for free shipping the manager waived out the shipping fee. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great JDM engine with low miles. I purchased a Subaru FB20 block from their website. I was quite impressed how easy the website was to use and also how quickly they shipped the engine. I am a diy mechanic and swapped the block with my friend. I reached out to JDM Westside with some questions, and they answered a lot of my questions about what parts needed to be swapped out. After I did the engine swap, I definitely noticed how good the engine was. My slightly used engine sounds healthy.

I ordered a Legacy Spec B 6-speed trans and R180 rear diff from JDM Westside for our 2012 Subaru WRX build. Good communication up front and the parts we recieved were as pictured on their website and appear to be in new condition! The Trans was shipped full of oil and it appears clean like it was just filled. When the truck showed up to deliver the pallet, the driver was impressed with how the trans and diff were neatly covered and strapped down on the pallet. He said that from other places he usually sees them uncovered on the pallet and ratchet strapped down. If I need parts such as this in the future I will definately look at JDM WestSide first!
Bought a motor online, Didn't have it in stock. Still haven't received a refund. its been setting in limbo due to the way they tried to refund it. Bad service.
And the item in Question is still showing as for sale and able to buy on their website over a week later. Starting to look more and more like a scam.

I have ordered from them a few times. We did have a warranty issue on a acura tl transmission that took awhile for them to get another one and send out. But they did take care of it when the got one in stock so I am happy. Thank you so much for taking care of the warranty.
