Purchased a transmission from them not to long ago. Was offered installation for a seperate fee and was told that if ANYTHING goes wrong within the first 7 days will be covered by them. Car was picked up, same night I get home I have a leak coming from my transmission lines. Went back and forth for a couple days and NOTHING! Now I’m I cannot drive my car until I replace the radiator if not I will ruin new transmission. Spoke to the gentlemen from JDM city and he kind of just ignored me when I told him he said he would cover any issues pertaining to the installation. Trans line connect to the transmission! Find another place for your business.
I went to some other JDM shops around in Manassas. They were no help and overpriced. Came here, David not only hooked it up, but also showed me how to install step-by-step. Highly recommend!
I got a transmission for my accord a couple months ago didn’t have the chance to install till last Friday due to personal issues shop did it for me and end up being worse than the transmission in my car to the point I rather put back my old one.
My son purchased a f23and auto trans for
850 delivered I changed over the sensors and installed it. After a week the transmission started slipping so I called them and they told me to change a seloniod valve and it did not help. Made 20+ calls to reach them a second time and they all went to a recording. They are thieves and will not stand behind their so called warranty A PISS POOR COMPANY BUYER'S BEWARE.
JAPANESE QUALITY STAFF (EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT JAPANESE) BUT YOU GET IT. THE ENGINES THAT THEY SELL HAVE NEVER FAIL ON ME AND I BOUGH FROM THEM KINDA OFTEN AND THEY ARE REALLY NICE I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS GUYS
Bought a h22a from him. Need alot of mods to fit. Then I switched my factory intake with the h22a one and said when you sell this we will split profit. Instead he sold for dirt and I never got a dime. Never trust him to do any good dealing. I tried to even up and resolve the issue and he said he owes me nothing. Bad for buisness. Fyi. If I was not a good mechanic my engine would still be blowing through 3 quarts of oil a week. Do not buy anything or trust them.
I have spent thousands over the last 3 years with david from vajdm anything subaru related i have purchased has been in great shape including their motor, full sti drive line, interior, wheels, multiple front clips could not ask for a better shop shout out to david for always taking care of me and anyone i bring to the store ....... heading in today for even more subaru parts
Horrible customer service. I ordered a motor and everythinh was fine till I got a notification from paypal that I was being charged twice, I disputed it and now the guy wont even SEND me the motor and refuses to give me a refund. Had to file a dispute with paypal. Do not buy here!!! What type of buisness is that
They gave me wrong engine and after that they did not help me out. I lost money with this guys. They want your money but if there's any problem with the part they left you on your own. Bad experience with Mike.
Great customer service. Ordered a Toyota 7M-GTE for my Supra. Got a bad engine. Blown headgasket, and a broken sparkplug down inside the cylinder, and dented oil pan which was damage needed replacement during shipping. Luckily the cylinder head was removed and examined before it was installed. Talked to John at JDM. They covered 90% of the repair including parts, labor, and machine work. Nothing but good here. ?
Worst experience ever! Spoke with the owner from the start nice guy. Gave me pretty good deal. Then the parts showed up and I found out why.The condition of the parts was nothing like the pictures he sent. All the wiring harnesses, and bulb sockets where missing. Ended up having to spend so much more at another shop for the missing pieces. And renting a car for my holiday trip due to my car being down for a additional week. DONT DUE IT TO YOURSELF!!! NOT WORTH IT.
I thought they were better than other importers. My friend told me no one here tests motors. Just 30 days warranty. I would recommend everyone to order from JDM importers out of state who back the motor with 6 months warranty. My buddy bought Honda Civic engine from them which overheated in a week.
Ive bought a total of 22 engines from them honda, nissan, and toyota. None of them have failed. Ive gone to various jdm shops in the nova area and they are by far the most competively priced and are willing to work with you. Other shops pressure wash engines so that theyre clean, but when they do that youre not able to gauge the condition of them. va jdm motors dont pressure wash them and theyre clean engines. By far the best jdm shop in nova area.
Great shop with good prices. People don't understand why you need to pay good money for good parts. I've bought nearly $5000 worth of stuff here, and have never had and complaints in quality.
These guys hand pick motors from Japan so you know what they get is good.
They have a customer for life!
And to the only negative review, I did some research and that's a fake account.
They sold me a bad transmission, after I brought it back to them within the warranty they gave me they still didn't replace it and kept my money and transmission .Very bad people I don't recommend them. One star is too much for them!
