Went to the store this morning, looking for a specific auto part. I got helped by a lady, the only one who was trying to help a line of 4 or 5 people, while two guys were just trading jokes about 10 ft away. The lady was visibly new, she kept guessing about which part I should pick, and did not ask for help from the other associates, who were doing nothing. I had to leave because it seemed like they did not care about my business. At some point, one of the guys started vaping instead of helping customers. Its so sad to see Autozone relax its standars to this new low.

I was at this store on 2/18/26 around 0920. The lady I met there was horrible. She was on her phone throughout and couldn't help me. I hope the store manager does something about it.

Horrible phone wait times.. No one seems to know what's going on.. I run a local shop, and used to get parts from these guys all the time. I used to feel like they wanted to help.. I don't know what's happening at this location.. whether the employees don't care or if they need more help but for gods sakes.. they're gonna lose this store if it keeps up. This store isn't even worthy of 1 star.

I am so grateful for Gary’s expertise and willingness to help with changing out a new headlight bulb - he went above and beyond to help as I initially had requested the incorrect bulb. He knew which bulb was needed instead and he also but the new bulb in free of charge. In addition, I needed a new battery and he found one that would work and this was also installed free of charge. He gave me helpful information for both the bulb and battery and was very pleasant and eager to help. He was very knowledgeable with a can-do attitude - I really appreciated his help!

David really went through the extra mile to replace my car's battery today. The old manufacturer's battery was badly corroded and had to be replaced. Unfortunately, this also made it extremely difficult to remove the terminal clamps. The 30F temperature didn't make it any easier, but David never gave up. Associate Mason came over to help and after about 20 minutes, the two of them managed to remove the old battery and attach the replacement. My car started up and was back in business. Service like that makes a difference and it's something I won't forget. Thank you David, Mason, and AutoZone!

I believe it was just the specific employee I interacted with, but he didn’t seem to know what he was doing. I understand that some employees may still be in training, and I can be patient with that. However, someone knowledgeable should be available to support and guide them. This felt like a management failure.

I had an outstanding experience at AutoZone in Chantilly. George Koranteng and Norris were exceptionally friendly, patient, and truly professional. They took their time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and helped me find exactly what I needed. Their positive attitude and willingness to help made this visit one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. This review is specifically for the Chantilly location, because the level of respect and support I received from George and Norris was truly remarkable. AutoZone is very fortunate to have employees like them here. Absolutely deserving of five stars

Autozone stole my battery!! Gave them my battery to charge it and when I came back to pick it up they told me they can’t find it. They never resolved my issue and let me walk out without resolving anything. The 2 employees didn’t show any caring and all they said was come back when the manager is here. THIS IS THE WORST AUTOZONE DON’T GO THERE!

I understand that employees are paid hourly, but that shouldn’t mean they work at a turtle’s pace. I spent about 10 minutes at the cashier while he chatted with his friend on the phone and very slowly processed the return of just two items.

Returned to this location three times because they kept giving me the wrong parts. I gave them all the correct information: car make, model, and year as well as VIN number and they kept giving me the wrong rotors for my vehicle. I was hoping that for the inconvenience, I could get a credit or keep the brake pads (the only thing that was correct) for free, but nope. I spent over 2 hours traveling back and forth in total, and keep having to reschedule with my mechanic. I imagine most shops would have just given a store credit at the very least or tried to remedy the situation. Went to Advance Auto Parts down the street instead and they gave me the right size right away. And funny enough, the man in line behind me was at advance auto for the same reason - Autozone gave him the wrong parts.

I ordered an air filter through the website, and I received a totally different dirty air filter in the correct packaging. I don’t live in the area so I had to go all the way back to return it. The one gentleman at least gave me my money back, but they then told me they didn’t have the one I ordered. They then wanted me to pay for another one that was way more expensive. With the time that was wasted I think they should have at least discounted it for me. Very frustrated

I went to the East Gate Chantilly location to have my car checked out because my car hasn't been starting very smoothly. Maddox was the representative who assisted me. The battery was quickly tested and failed, so the battery was the issue. Maddox provided me with 3 Duralast battery options and said he could install one within 5 minutes. I purchased the battery with a 3 year warranty and received a $22 credit for my old battery. He truly installed in 5 minutes (or less)! Amazing customer service and awesome experience!!! I wanted to tip him, but he said that isn't allowed. Great job Maddox!!!

Last week, I stopped by Auto Zone in Chantilly because I broke my windshield wiper while going through a car wash. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and helped me find the right wiper. We went outside to install it, but it turned out that the issue was actually with the wiper arm, not the wiper itself. I had to order the part. When I returned a week later, the person behind the counter handed me the windshield arm and said, "here you go” When I asked if he could help me install it, he replied that they don’t provide that service. It was surprising because the week before, two employees had helped me. Additionally, their advertisement poster shows staff assisting with windshield wipers, which made the experience feel inconsistent.

I went to AutoZone to check my battery b/c my car was hesitating to start. The young man tested the battery and said it was good and that I may need to replace the starter. My car still hesitated but started. I then drove to the auto shop and the the diagnostic read the battery was very low. They replaced the battery and my car starts up fine. I could've avoided going to the shop and paying additional cost for a diagnostic if the worker took the initiative and additional time to read the battery meter correctly. I don't recommend requesting assistance from AutoZone in Chantilly, Va

CJ is the man. I wont ever go to advance, oriellys, or napa again. Autozone is the only place that delivers. He helped out and is very quick and efficient saved me a whole lot of time. Always ask for CJ when you come to this location he will give his best customer support!

Went in here today for some auto parts. Look closely on the floor and you can see a worker taking a nap behind the register counter. The other employee on his phone during my visit. Needless to say I did not want to break up their rest time so I decided to leave and purchase my parts from a different retailer.

I brought my used motor oil to this location and the employee stopped me outside the door before I could enter and informed me they are not accepting used oil for recycling because they have no room. He then told me I could try another store or throw it in the trash. This is totally unacceptable! We only have one planet and should do our best to take care of it. This Auto Zone needs to find a solution to their storage problem and not put the problem back on the customer or our planet! Very disappointed in the South Riding Auto Zone! I will shop elsewhere going forward.

I needed to install a license plate and holder on the front of my new (to me) car, and Camden Y. was so incredibly kind and gracious enough to help me. It required a bit of elbow grease, but he was more than willing to do it, even as it started to rain. I purchased some additional screws to ensure that it would be securely attached, and the store was so clean and well organized. I truly appreciate the entire team at store #4919.

We have been having issues with our car battery. We thought we needed a new part. The employee tightened our connector for free and fixed our issue. Great customer service! We’ll be back for any car needs in the future.

A guy named Balal is very helpful. I walked into the store and he came right up to me and asked how he could help. For those that don't know, they will hook up your car with a code reader to check a check engine light. They will also check your battery and replace it for free of charge, but you do have to buy the battery. Extremely helpful when you don't know much about mechanics and don't have garage space or tools.

Great customer service from Faith and Mohammed. They helped me with finding my wipers and helped me put them on in the drizzling rain. So appreciative of their generosity. I’ll be back because of them.

I had to get a battery replaced and to put it mildly, it was an extreme pain in the backside to get the battery out of it's housing and replace. The staff at this location would have been well within the scope to say they couldn't do it, jumped my car and put me on my way. The staff there is extremely friendly and clearly take customer service seriously. From the moment I walked in, the associate made me feel he was happy that I walked in and you could tell he was eager to help. He got me the correct battery and got his manager involved to help me install it. Andy, the manager, went above and beyond to get the battery installed and insure everything was working properly. I cannot thank him enough. I will be shopping for ALL of my auto needs at this location SPECIFICALLY. Thank you Andy and team!
