If you have the misfortune of being towed, these guys were kind and helpful about the situation, tried to make it as painless as possible.

This company illegally violates VA Code § 46.2-118(B)(1). Know your rights, if enough people file complaints they will be shut down.

horrible costumer service. They wrongfully towed my car despite having an active parking session and were unwilling to give me a refund. This company should be shut down immediately.

Zero stars. At 5 AM I got a notification my car was unlocked. Called and a woman told me it had been towed over an expired permit sticker — 2025 instead of 2026 — and quoted me $120. Showed up at the lot just before 10 AM. My wallet was inside the car so I stepped over to grab it. I had already gone to the other side of the lot to let someone know but nobody was there. The manager came out and immediately started yelling at me about trespassing — all I was doing was getting my wallet. Same manager then spoke to me with zero respect and dismissed me with a sarcastic “have a good day.” Terrible people with zero ethics. Avoid at all costs.

Very quick and the employees are kind and responsive helpful with my concerns

Battlefield Towing damaged the engine splash guard under my vehicle and refused to pay when I filed a complaint. When asked multiple follow up questions they repeatedly put me on hold to avoid providing answers. Beware of this company.

Glorified thieves and bullies. They waited 5+ hours to pick up my car and then proceeded to charge me an after-hours pickup fee as if it was my fault. And of course they’ll threaten to not let your car out if you don’t pay everything up front. So, I waited until after I freed my car from their yard to go and talk to the woman behind the desk about it. Not only did she try and give me the runaround and blame someone else, she was more interested in yelling at me to go away so she could get back to watching TV in her plexiglass throne. I attempted to retry the conversation over the phone with them days later and got the exact same treatment along with them telling me they “can pick up a car whenever we want”. Besides the actual tow truck driver who helped to jumpstart my car, this whole company is garbage. Based off their reviews, I expect the only reason they’re still in business is that they somehow made it onto nearby HOA call sheets years ago. Petition your HOAs to drop them and go out of your way to avoid them.

Predatory business that preys on economically disadvantageous with their $210 tow fee.

This towing company is absolutely unethical. They towed my car with snow on my windshield from my community parking although there was a valid parking pass on my dashboard. They did not do their due diligence to look behind to make sure the vehicle was legally parked, which is tantamount to fraud. When I showed the driver there was a parking pass on the dash, he states, ‘Well, I don’t know what to tell you.” Also, while I was at the lot picking up my car, said driver used his tow truck to move a car that was in front of mine. The tow fork kept getting stuck under the car, so he put the car’s front wheels on blocks in order to be able to get the tow fork from under the car. The tow driver then entered the car and put the emergency brakes on so the car wouldn't roll off blocks. I might be wrong, but I don't think they are supposed to enter people's cars.

As predatory as it gets. Disgusting company that does nothing but harm. You should all get real jobs instead of taking people's cars in the middle of the night before everyone has to go to work in the morning. Almost $250 for not even a SINGLE NIGHT. THAT'S INSANE.

they have towed my legally parked car from my apartment complex 2 times when provided with proof they simply dont care and just hope you dont want to go through a legal battle honesty really just no humanity whatsoever and take satisfaction in being rude. I get it no one likes being towed but they tow with pure incompetency knowing they will get paid regardless.

This company is a pain in the ass I got threaten by a driver just for simply honking for him blocking me to exit and I wasn’t even in a parking spot, because of people like him is why people is in danger now days. And honestly if I can give it a 0 star I would

Sucks to get towed, but at least they released the handbrake on my car before towing to protect brakes/transmission

This company just robs people. had my car towed with my parking permit displayed. would not give me my car back unless i payed $200. the guy at the front desk was extremely rude. its ridiculous that i even have to deal with this. made me 40 minutes late to work all because they wanted to me for the fun of it.

Does not read permits/stickers on vehicles. causing problems to eat people's money.Lazy drivers dont pay attention what car they are towing with visible stickers
Sep 25, 2025 -
Two stars because they satisfactory did their job. Is it dumb that I can’t park on one side of the apartment building yes very full malarkey but now I know and capitalism is so overrated. I’d rather just take the tow truck guy out to lunch than pay $210 in their bogus fees.

Highly unprofessional company. Towed my car with a parking permit on it. Workers are not helpful whatsoever and could care less about your situation.

The dispatcher lady that answers the phone on Saturday august 31 night is the most disrespectful and rude person ever! She kept attacking me the moment I called then she said either you pay $210 or you’re not getting your car and hanged the phone on my face, (even tho I had the visitor permit displayed on the car). When I called again to ask about their location she said OMG you again and put me directly on hold! Really unprofessional and rude I really want my message to get to management cause that kind of attitude would just gaslight people specially after taking their cars. You’re lucky I didn’t come make a scene!

Absolutely horrible business practices. towed a motorcycle I sold years ago and said it was still under my name when DMV said that i have nothing to worry about. They lied saying that there will be a lien under my name and it will go into collections to scare me. Don't fall for their false empty threats and if you don't care about a vehicle they towed, DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING!

Unbelievable just tow the car from my own driveway in my subdivision at 6:30 on a Monday morning… Now trying to get kids out the door and get to work absolutely ruthless unethical and unbelievable

This is the second time my car was towed with a valid permit clearly displayed. This company is dishonest and predatory. Their customer service is rude and unprofessional, especially when confronted about their shady practices. Avoid them if you can — they do not operate in good faith.

Abraham came as early as he can and helped to tow my car. Thank you and I appreciate the service

towed my vehicle. They violated Fairfax county towing ordinance by failing to provide a reason for a tow and counting Saturday and Sunday as a weekday towards the 3 day administrative fee statute limitation. They are sloppy with paperwork. Make sure they followed the towing ordinance. If not file a compliant with the Fairfax county department of cable and consumer services. If that doesn't work file a complaint with Fairfax county police department, if that doesn't work take them to civil court. Also always record all conversations to use as proof. (VA is a one party consent needed to record voice) And demand a DMV receipt if you are charged an administrative fee as required by law per the towing ordinance. Here's the link for the statute http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/consumer/regulation_and_licensing/chapter-82-5-32-.pdf And more information on how to file complaints http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/consumer/regulation_and_licensing/towing.htm Hoping this will arm those wrongfully towed with some ammo. Let's see how gun ho battlefield towing when we all decide to go war with them. Where it hurts them most. Money, reputation. Let's get all those contracts cancelled and shut them down one at a time.

Battlefield towing and its employees could be on fire and I would not squirt my last squirt of urine on them. These people need to get real jobs and actually work. Roadside assistance is a nice service. To have people roll through a neighborhood at 3 am and take your car 4 hours before you are supposed to work, is just plain nasty. They target vehicles and have no respect for anyone or themselves. This company is the pure representation of dog shit idiots.

This firm provides terrible customer service. Attendants are rude and policies are not friendly. As a cash only business, they will not make change. If you leave to get change elsewhere you risk an increase in the storage fee. If you don't go get change you'll have to overpay with whatever cash you have to get your car back. This business will not allow you to inspect your vehicle or collect belongings (such as wallets with cash) from your vehicle before paying. The fees for an impounded vehicle are excessive: $50 for the tow, $25 for storage, and $75 for 'special equipment'. Special equipment is described as straps, skids or other equipment necessary to move and secure your vehicle. There is no negotiation on the fees regardless of whether or not special equipment was used to remove or secure your vehicle. (For what it is worth, my mechanic charged much less for 'shop supplies' on a $1000 repair than Battlefield Towing charged for 'special supplies'.) This firm has had several complaints filed against them with the Fairfax County, VA Department of Consumer Protection: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/consumer/IQext/csd_acs.asp?bytype=Y&lookup=13113&lastset=Automotive+-+Towing
