I’m sorry to share this, but I wanted to provide feedback on my recent visit. When I stopped by to purchase a couple of wipers (since installation is advertised as free), I was assisted by a counter staff member named Tita R. Unfortunately, she didn’t seem willing to help. She mentioned she was the only staff member present and wasn’t sure when others would return(she said maybe 1pm or 7pm I don’t know), and her tone made me feel as though I should leave—even as another employee entered through the main door. I value your products and services, but this experience was disappointing. I hope management can offer additional training or support so staff can better assist customers in the future. Otherwise, I may choose to shop online next time to save time and avoid frustration. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Where do I even start with this place? The cashier clearly has no idea what he’s doing and kept asking his coworkers for help. Luckily I knew exactly what I needed. It took forever to check out seven items, and he had to ring them twice because he wasn’t paying attention. No one seemed to care to help him until I had to get their attention myself. Avoid this place unless you know exactly what you need.

I just went in for a battery replacement for my key fob. I went to the register and Kevin helped me to find the battery and went above and beyond to assist me with the key. I am so appreciative of Kevin and his wonderful customer service and attention to detail. Thank you.

Came in to get a battery for my Toyota Corolla on Dec. 18 and was given a lot of attitude by the saleswoman, who was just generally unpleasant. My first question was confirming I'd get credit for bringing in the old battery, and she said something like, "I know what I'm doing, I don't need help figuring it out." Then she led me to the most expensive batteries for my car, which I realized later I should have asked about. I probably would've saved $45, so not a huge deal, but still annoying. I know this battery should be better, but I don't think I really need an extended life battery. And then after we picked out the battery, she said, "Let's go" and I began to walk toward the door -- innocent mistake -- and she said, "Who's going to pay? A neighbor?" Then when she installed it, she said it wasn't fitting completely and said she could take out one of the pieces that helps hold it down -- the J-bolt fixing rod, I believe it is called, I've come to find out -- and that it wasn't needed. Seemed odd and maybe she's right, and the battery doesn't seem to move much, but it feels like to me a 100% correct installation would've included putting the entire fixing mechanism back on. Just a strange customer service experience all around. Surprising too, since usually employees at auto parts stores in my experience are easy and even pleasant to work with.

They were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. I had a few questions about a particular part, and the associate not only provided the information I needed but also offered some great advice on installation. It’s clear they value customer service and want to ensure you leave with the right products.

I like Advance Auto Parts in general because they offer auto parts that we can install/repair ourselves. They do free alternator/battery tests as well as windshield wiper installations for free. The customer service is always hit or miss. I originally walked in asking if they can do a a battery/alternator test. He said yes, that he will be out in a few minutes and asked me to repark in front of the store. It took longer than 10 minutes for him to finally come outside. He did the battery test and said it's fine, but that it may not last much longer. I told him I would rather just have the battery changed and that I have one in the car. He was hesitant to install it in case it was the wrong battery, but I had purchased it from Costco and already knew it was the correct one. There is plenty of parking available, but they do share the lot with Gold's Gym and Dollar Tree (as well as other businesses), so I'm sure it can get busy. I'm giving 3 stars mostly because of the wait time. If I'd known I'd be waiting that long, I would've just gone to the other one on the way to my original destination.

I live in Chantilly for several years and this store was my favorite for its good prices but above all for the kindness and good treatment of the people who work there...a few days ago I realized that none of that already exists, the prices are the same what Store Autozone and the respect of the sellers is a joke...I made the purchase of brake pads using the app But the purchase suggested by the store's app was not appropriate for my car, I went back to change the parts and even though there was a Excessive delay in doing it, it was not something that bothered me at that moment... the annoyance came after I realized that for the second time there was an error in the recommendation of the type of pads breaks for my car...and when I returned to the store and asked someone else to assist me in returning parts, I only received a terrible, bad-tempered treatment from the people who serve there...It's a shame that this store is no longer as professional as it once was.

I went for a battery check of my truck since it wasnt cranking right and had to jump started few times. The kid that tested it took only two minutes to diagnose that the battery, alternator and electrical system was okay and shouldnt worry about it. Sure enough, later that day the battery died while away from home. Took to truck to mechanic who diagnose bad battery and then to Interstate Batteries who also confirmed it was a bad battery. Never again stopping at this location.

This is absolutely the worst auto parts store that I have ever dealt with. I spent over $500 in parts today and I had a $50 credit in points from all of the purchases that I made before the store act as though I was robbing money right out of the register, I will no longer be an advanced auto parts customer I will take all my business to AutoZone or Napa so long advanced keep your $50 in points I spend $2000 a month in parts

A few months ago I bought some rotors for my wife's car but we began to feel that the car vibrated a lot when it braked. We took it to the mechanic and they aligned and balanced it and it didn't improve so they concluded that it was the rotors that were defective. We went to the store and The lady who was there checked my account and said that it was within the warranty period but that she would talk to the manager named Rohim. I talked to him and he replied that he could not give the warranty without proof from the mechanic. I told him that it was there. the car if he wanted to check it or drive it but he said that I don't think he is a bad manager disgusting a person who does not think he has a job because those of us who buy in the store are the ones who have it there

I came in for a battery test and potentially replacement. Initially it was OK: the test came back and my battery needed to be replaced, which I expected. But then it all went downhill: 1. The cashier (an older black man wearing glasses) told me there were 3 batteries available for my car (in the order of how much each costs): diehard platinum AGM, optima red top, and optima yellow top. I asked him if there was anything cheaper than the diehard platinum and he said no. This is not true because I checked the online store at this location before coming in and there was a cheaper battery available: diehard red. I asked him again if he was sure that were all the 3 choices I had and he gave me a resounding yes. It's not that I can't afford the more expensive batteries, it was just that the sale person wasn't transparent (or didn't check things carefully) 2. When it came to replacing the battery (which was done by the same person), he took a very long time (around 20 mins) and couldn't put the cover on properly. He was frustrated, removed the screws so he could reinstall it properly so that the cover can be fit in, and said: "I shouldn't change the battery. I am doing you a favor". I politely asked him why he was upset at me and he said: "I'm not upset, I'm just telling you that I am doing you a favor by installing the battery for you. The computer said I shouldn't install this battery for this car but I'm doing you a favor". I told him that I've had this car's battery replaced at Advance auto parts for many times in the past and it all went smoothly and without issues, and he said: "well they were probably also doing you a favor without telling you so". I was very upset and disappointed but I didn't say anything after that as I wanted to get the heck out of there ASAP so I just let him do his things. I don't understand why he told me that he was doing me a favor. I'm 100% sure it was because he installed it incorrectly and the cover wouldn't fit that he had to remove and reinstall, which frustrated him. I did not get the battery for free and I didn't demand him to install the battery for me. I understand the small print under "free battery installations" which reads "on most vehicles and at most stores", but why didn't he tell me beforehand that he was doing me a favor until the point he messed things up and got frustrated??? I'm extremely disappointed in this experience and will never shop at Advance Auto Parts again.

Rohim the so called manager is the worst person that has ever worked there. I heard him yelling at customer today and multiple times in the past and couldn't believe he worked there. I was about to order about $700 worth of stuff but I dropped it on the spot and walked out and will never go again. YOUVE BEEN WARNED! Support another business that wa to you as a customer and treats you with respect

Returned items yet still haven’t received a refund. It’s been a year. I’ve been told several times that a district manager would give me a call. It doesn’t take this long to get answers. I believe the manager here is doing some fraudulent activity. We will surely be seeing “The rise and fall of advance autoshop” stories in YouTube

Laziest employee working there. Very rude and unhelpful. I picked up some steering wheel covers from the top shelf to get them price checked, after he made me put the rest back on the shelf. Also when I asked him about the use of a product, he responded by saying “Just read the instructions”.

My husband and I took our car to have the battery check because we just had it charged up at the dealership and we wanted to make sure it was good. A older black man with glasses came out after acting like it was a BIG inconvenience for him to help us and hooked the battery up and said “it’s bad and it needs to be replaced”. He unhooked it and walked away and said nothing else. So we got the feeling that he wasn’t being truthful. So we took it to AutoZone and they came right out and were happy to help us and said our battery was 100% charged and nothing was wrong. The ONLY person at Advance that is very nice is Brandon. He is always so kind and friendly to us but this other joker is a rude, unprofessional and a liar.

we consistently avoid this store because of Mo, we couldn't return a product that wasnt a right fit, mo couldn't read the receipt, which we clearly can so we called another store to talk sense into him, the store in sterling va is definitely more helpful. Also we came in one time 30 min before closing and Mo said he can't help anyone the store is doing a routine shutdown, I had the part number and just needed to look at it to confirm it was the right part so when I come back in the morning to people who are willing to work, I can get it from them, we interrupted his soccer game he was watching in his phone.

I've been here multiple times for everything from advice e to diagnostic tools to light bulbs and parts. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra step to help each and every time. As a female, I have treated with respect and without mansplaining. They take me seriously, don't try to upsell me, and never talk down to me. I really enjoy this staff.

I visit the shops at time 7:23pm today and trying to use my gold membership uber discount customer service name Divide, was rude with me and not allow me to talk when i asking hem kindly can i talk he said now !!, and he keep saying i am uber driver too and only we accept uber credit card !! i know that information was wrong because i used the uber code ID and system was accepting my uber discount!.

I had to exchange my item that I purchased from online , Mr Ronnie don’t want to help me with my exchange or return and he has a major attitude, I ask him call customers service manager or someone who is in charge he did not call anyone , I will give you guaranteed Mr. advance auto parts you’ll be chapter 8 if that guy like Ronnie works ........

After watching her take her time with three previous customers, i was quite shocked that the associate who waited on me rushed through my transaction. She then told me to wait and someone would be with me to change my battery. I waited twenty minutes inside and then offered to be the last customer to get their battery replaced. Then after 30 minutes waiting outside, he finaly got to my battery. She made him come back inside to assist her when he was almost done.with my battery. So now I'm still waiting. I understand that the store is busy and assumed it would take some time to get this completed. But I am a bit upset that this woman continued to rush my service and didn't even allow the young man to complete my battery install. I have been for over an hour.

I had some issue with my car battery as it gave me hard time starting up. Someone suggested me to go to the advance autos and I called them and requested if I could stop by and check what's wrong with the battery. A guy checked the battery and said it wasn't fully charged and he was explaining all this to me that his manager came out and asked him to come in very rudely even we were discussing the things. The manager was very rude and had no sense of respect at all bother for customers and staff. I had in my mind to buy a new battery from them as well as to change oil...but that manager changed my mind and gave me time to rethink what I was planning to do i.e. to buy a battery and do oil change. I'll never ever go there nor will recommend to anyone at all.

I like to make purchases online where I can apply coupons, then pick it up at the store. The other day, I showed up to pick up an order I made 2 days earlier. They're supposed to have my order ready for pick up when I show up, but that didn't happen. I stood there like I usually did waiting for them to get the parts. This time, the parts were out, so they suggested I just cancel the entire order. Well, if they actually assembled my order at the time I made the purchase 2 days earlier, this wouldn't have happened. I was in Rt 50's traffic for half an hour for nothing. I'm going to the one in Centreville now.
