If a good friend of mine was looking for a moving company, I’d immediately recommend College Hunks and I’d tell them to ask for Peter and Ricky. They were fast, attentive, and incredibly professional throughout the whole move. On top of that, they’re just two genuinely great guys who clearly care about doing the job right who I’d trust them to move just about anything. A+
I would NOT use this moving company. I recently helped my boyfriend moved down to NC, and to say the experience was awful is an understatement. On the first day when they were picking up his stuff, the movers called 15 minutes before they were supposed to be there and said they would now be there 2 hours later than expected, we were supposed to be making a 6 hour drive that day that was now pushed back. Once all of his things were put into their truck, they didn’t have the contract ready to sign, and obviously wouldn't leave without getting it printed and signed. This resulted in them having to use MY paper and ink (which then became low due to them printing so much paper). The fact the movers were unprepared with something as simple as a contract says a lot about a company and its procedures, they then didn’t send him a copy of said contract. Then the day that his things are due to arrive, the movers end up being almost 3 hours later than expected to the initial window given. The movers also showed up with a truck that was too big despite them receiving the max height of a truck they could bring weeks before the move. Once all the items are placed in the apartment, once again we have contract issues, they have no copy for him to keep, and we have to wait another hour for them to get in contact with higher ups (who obviously aren’t available at 7pm on a Sunday). Finally that issue gets relatively sorted, we pay, even leave a tip and head to dinner. While we’re at dinner, we receive a call from the movers claiming we didn’t pay the full amount and that we still owe money. Which isn’t true as we have two confirmations of payment and a credit card statement. They called multiple times trying to get us to pay more. And after all this we find out it’s a processing issue on THEIR end (not surprised it takes a long time for a payment to process on a Sunday night). Overall this company was ill-prepared for this move and it seems obvious that the cheaper price is due to a lack of quality and management. I would not recommend this company for any out of state moves. Maybe their locals moves are better.
The unprofessionalism started immediately. It took three weeks just to get an in-person quote because management insisted on a DIY video quote to avoid coming out to the property. This set a clear tone: the managers are too lazy to do their jobs and prioritize their own convenience over providing an accurate estimate for the customer.
On the day of the move, the packers were six hours late. They stayed until 10:00 PM, yet they still didn’t finish the job, claiming the movers would pack the rest the following day. When the movers arrived, they had no knowledge of the unfinished packing and were completely unprepared. To make matters worse, they left behind the items I had specifically requested to be junked. I was ultimately forced to return to the apartment myself to pack and move the remaining items—the very service I was paying them to handle.
The most frustrating part was the complete lack of accountability from management. I brought these issues to the attention of a manager named Adrian, who texted me: “Sorry for the experience you had with us, I’ve been talking to the both crew that done the job, I’ll have a resolution for you tomorrow @ noon.” Not only did I never receive that call, but Adrian has ignored every single text I’ve sent since.
This company is disorganized, the crews don't communicate with the office, and the managers do absolutely nothing to fix the issues they cause. Do not use them. You will likely end up doing half the work yourself while being ignored by their leadership.
The customer services was on point. ???They are very pleasant. I am very pleased. I want to thank Julio and Logan for making my move as smooth. I really appreciate so much. They have a very nice personality. We need people like them in this world ? we are living today in 2026. Again, thank you for your services. Several of my items were completely damaged. One of the hunks smelled of weed and was useless. Move took twice the time. I have never received such poor service in my life. I saw my food items literally rolling in the parking lot because these people were so incredibly incompetent. Two of the items damaged cost more than the entire amount of the move, also lost the braces of the sideboard, how am I going to put theshelves now?. No refund, no insurance, do not care.
2 young men worked diligently and quickly to get all my belongings from my house to a small apartment on the other side of the city.
They were kind, understanding, and extremely polite. I would hire them again and I highly recommend them.
The price was better than other companies l looked into.
From beginning to end, I was very satisfied.
The hunks dispose of junk, avoiding a trip to the dump. They switched three rugs within the house and disposed of a fourth. They were pleasant and energetic. Great experience.
I had a great experience with College Hunks! We just moved to a new house and there was a ton of leftover material, old ceiling fans and boxes. Aaron and Anthony did an amazing job and were so quick to complete.
Maxwell snd Will did an awesome job with moving my things this weekend. Even with the cold and wind, they were professional, hard working, and very kind. I will be recommending to anyone who needs a move in the future!
The whole process from getting the estimate to the actual move went very smoothly. Jose & Kendall went above and beyond to make sure everything was done satisfactorily before the DC storm hit! Very appreciative of their professionalism.
Due to the weather, my 2 hunks had some unforeseen delays they called & text me reassuring me that they’d reach me and they did and when they did their professional professionalism matched their reputation .
it was a painless experience. I gave them my keys to my unit. That’s how comfortable they made me feel. I’m not saying you can do it with everybody but I know my two honks yes I’m bragging my two HUNKS was well worth the wait?? moving forward anyone that moves I will refer them to my two Hunks?
Ricky and Will were very professional. They arrived on schedule, packed my items quickly and properly and delivered the items as scheduled. This is the second time I've used College Hunks for a move and was very happy with the service they provided. No surprises regarding the move or the estimated price.
College Hunk Junk removal and their team were quick, punctual, and priced very fairly.
I put in a request for a queen sized mattress removal (and some other ends and bobs), in Gaithersburg, and they were able to get me an appointment same day.
Chris & Ray were delightful to have, they were careful while navigating my home, and were quick to get my items out! Great team!
I use College H.U.N.K.S. often for personal and work and they don’t disappoint. I had Matthew and Anthony B helping me this evening. They were super professional and efficient. They called before the pickup window and arrived at my house shortly after.

They were so professional. Being a sol home owner woman I always worry about having people I don’t know in the house and honestly I’ve never felt more comfortable. They were kind and polite and didn’t try to upsell anything and listened to all my concerns about the move difficulty. The treadmill left the house so quickly and no mess or scratches( it had to go up stairs and around a tight hallway at the same time) highly recommended!
Used College Hunks 2x in FL and 1x in DMV area. I would use their services again, they're quick, efficient, respectful, and on time. Jeffry and his team mate did a great job of unloading everything with care.
Brendan & Aaron did a fantastic & careful job removing our items which are more used furniture than actual junk. I think they are a great team, seem to really enjoy their work and I would use Coll H Junk & Moving again! Will G
We booked a donation pickup / junk removal service with College Hunks in Washington, DC. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. The booking was quick and easy to make, and although I received one or two phone calls and texts from sales reps, they were not pushy in the slightest and answered all my questions. I received a phone call in advance of the service to talk through logistics, which was also very helpful and made me feel more prepared. On the day of, Matthew and George were phenomenal. They worked quickly and handled all of our stuff with great care. I truly appreciated their professionalism and flexibility (we had more items for them to haul away than I had initially planned). I highly recommend College Hunks if you've got a lot of stuff to get rid of in a short amount of time!
Honestly, I can't recommend these guys. I've used movers for much bigger, more complicated moves than this and all around this was probably the worst moving experience I've ever had. Let me be clear: the two young men who showed up to move us were polite and did their best. However, I had gotten a quote for a 3 man team and a truck large enough to move our 2 bedroom house in a single trip. On moving day, only 2 guys showed up, and they showed up with the smaller option of truck. By 3pm my wife and I decided to pay them and cut our losses. We called corporate and the local office FOUR TIMES and were assured that a solution was in the works. Nobody ever called back. By the time we got off the phone the fourth time, we were pretty much done dealing with this company. So, at 4pm we only had 70% of our furniture moved over, and had forked over $1500 for that single run. We called a much smaller local company who sent out 3 guys with a 17 foot truck for the rest of our furniture the following morning, the total was $400. I regret not starting with a smaller local company. If someone at corporate or the local franchise had just answered the phone / called me back - then I wouldn't be this mad. This company is awful. Take your business elsewhere. Like I said, probably the worst moving experience I have ever had, and there are PLENTY of small moving companies in the DMV who will charge you less and send enough guys to make the work go quickly.
The College Hunks were amazing. They came on time and were professional, efficient, and very courteous. They introduced themselves, quickly accessed the items, provided an estimate, and upon acceptance, started the job. I’m more than satisfied with their service and will use them again, as well as highly recommend them to everyone.
Had a great experience with College Hunks, moving a piano. They had to move it in the rain and up a lot of steps and navigate a narrow porch. They even had to call in two additional guys at the last minute to help. They were calm and friendly the whole time and were super patient with the process. They handled everything beautifully and I would definitely use them again. Peter in particular had standout customer service skills.
We have used College Hunks many times, always with a great outcome. Today was another amazing experience. They arrived on time, picked up our junk and donations quickly, and were very friendly. We highly recommend College Hunks and will continue to use them.

I has an excellent experience with COllege Hunks. Prompt and professional. Everything that was expected was executed perfectly.
Personally speaking, the price was a bit high AFTER 4% processing fee AND tip (but I also tipped the team well for such great work) for one item. That said, the service was excellent and could not ask for better.
The crew from College Hunks was extremely professional and did an amazing job. Tyler, Garry, Mario and Will were respectful of our belongings and took great care not to damage any furniture or walls. The cost was the best of the several moving companies I received quotes from. I would absolutely recommend college hunks moving for your move, especially this crew. Thanks again guys.
Excellent service. Got two African American men that were so kind, thoughtful, and fast! It took them just one hour to clear three rooms of large furniture and junk. These guys were amazing. They were courteous, open-minded, and on-time. I also liked the way College Hunks estimated cost by sort of renting out space in the truck. We did notice they already had some items in the truck already but they gave us a fair price that considered this fact. I would recommend a thousand times!
We used College Hunks for the THIRD time today and once again we were NOT disappointed! Sal and Aaron were amazing. Although they worked very hard they never stopped smiling the entire time they were here. Our job was not easy. There were large items on 3 different floors that needed to be removed. We filled an entire truck but through it all they were so polite, so willing to do whatever we asked, they were careful and just a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately we still have enough to fill another truck. We will be calling College Hunks this week to schedule another appointment and though I am sure everyone is good we will definitely be requesting Sal and Aaron. I highly recommend College Hunks for anyone who needs to have "junk" removed from their home. Sal and Aaron turned our junk removal project into a fun experience and that is not an easy task! A million thanks to College Hunks and especially to Sal and Aaron!

If you care about donation or your property, don’t use this company, at least not the DMV franchise. Everything was treated like trash, including the building. Damage to items in excellent condition rendering them unable to be donated and to the property (residence); false representations (including denial of window breaking at building with truck after initially acknowledging); violations of clearly stated property rules for moving; failure to prioritize donatable items or accurately assess truck capacity required abandonment of high quality furniture intended for donation. Cost was 1/2 again greater than estimate.
UPDATE: I have reached out to this company multiple times in several different ways over the last 10 months. I have never received a response. I called the number the company left below today, and no response. This company is unprofessional and fraudulent.
I strongly recommend avoiding this company. I paid for their increased insurance coverage in case of damages during the move, and the movers broke my bed frame. Since then, I’ve reached out multiple times to request reimbursement, and the company has completely ignored me. No response, no accountability, and no resolution. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable—especially when customers pay extra for protection. Save yourself the headache and choose a more reliable moving service.
Friendly, fun, fast, fastidious. These calm and detail-focused movers did a professional job at moving two bedrooms from an uptown house to the 5th floor of a midtown apartment. They understood the logistics, and made the process look nearly effortless.
