I originally learned about Butler’s Automotive through a company I used to work for—they had been taking their fleet vehicles there for years, which says a lot on its own.
Since then, I’ve been bringing my own trucks to Butler’s for vehicle inspections and service. They are honest, fair, and straightforward, with no games or unnecessary upselling. The staff is a very nice and friendly crowd, and it’s clear they value long-term customers.
It’s hard to find shops you can truly trust, and Butler’s Automotive is one of them. Highly recommend.
Brought our Toyota BZ4X in for a quick touch-up before we sold/traded it in. He did a great job mending some scratches and dings, complete with a nice wax finish for a good price and in a timely manner. He was very professional and personable, we also loved meeting his adorable lil' pup Bentley. We love to support a veteran / locally owned business when we can! We will definitely be back.
First time purchasing a 10k vehicle out-of-state only to find out only a few places in my area can do a state inspection for it. Butler Automotive was the only place that was avialble to receive and start working on it right away. Everyone else were 2 or 3 days out with scheduling, and I had arranged to take off from work to have it done somewhere that ended up not being able to do it. I don't know if I lucked out by finding somewhere available that same day, but I have to say service was courteous, friendly and down to earth, and all business at the same time. Easy access to the location, and big enough for whatever heavy rig you may need help with. I seriously consider going back for service since dealership can't pick it up.
I highly recommend Butler. My motorcoach was in for a Maryland State inspection. Upon passing, Butler offered to perform a preventative maintenance service while it was there. The price for service was good, so I took them up on their offer. I am very satisfied with the service that I received.
Such great service. Felt completely secure and trustworthy, especially when they said that they would fight with the insurance companies FOR me to get the best for me and my car. Hopefully I don't have to use them often (or ever again) but I know I will if I have to get my car fixed.
DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! These people don’t know what their are doing! At least not on trucks! After 20k dollars spent I had to tow my truck to another location!We’re told we should get rid of our truck because it was not fixable! Guess what? Brought it to another place and 3k later truck is great! This place is the worst! 😡😡
I called to make an app for the state inspection on my 24 f RV, they told me to go in Monday, went there and they refuse to do the inspection because was an RV, they knew it (I told someone name “PAUL” was an RV!) please don’t waste your time here!!!!!!
Butler automotive fixed and fully repainted all the plastics on my motorcycle. It came back better than showroom quality. The team in the body shop definitely know what they're doing and then some.
I brought my semi truck to get State inspection and did not enjoy the service, They told I needed brakes all around and slack adjusters,
When I knew that the rear tandem look about 60% but the front were at least 90%
Took my unit somewhere else instead
The owner and employees are friendly and knowledgeable. You are not just a number to them, as they remember you if you are a return customer! This is a large, well equipped, one-stop shop that does everything well, both for the mechanical, bodywork, electrical, as well as State Inspections, focusing on trucks and buses! Their prices are fair, and they get things done well and in a timely fashion!
I don't know where the people went who provided the bad reviews here. I've worked with Kevin at Butler for a few years now, and they're nothing but professional and courteous, and have honest prices that have been consistently lower than competitors. Kevin has on multiple occasions been available via cell at odd hours to handle emergency issues. Nothing but good things to say about this shop.

As they did to me, I have called the police but they claimed that no one do nothing, and they refuse to let the officer to looks on the cameras that on location.
I’ll keep post this reviews on 1000 sites that all people will see how bad service and people this garage is.

but I feel that this review needs a response, as your claims are so grossly inaccurate that they border on ridiculous.
First of all, all repairs that were made were approved by your boss prior to beginning work. Per our policy, a written estimate was provided and then approved.
We fully stand behind all repairs that were made and the necessity of those repairs.
Second of all, you came into our facility last week with alcohol on your breath, and not only attempted to assault one of our managers, but then put your hands on 3 of my technicians.
You are lucky that we did not call the police.
Please do not step foot in our facility ever again, as your business is not welcome here.
You can be sure that I’ll never ever will come to your business location!
And I’ll let as many people as I can not to come to your location as your business is scam, also multiple official complaint will be filed,

I took my car in for a knocking noise in the engine, three visits and $2400 later the noise is still there. They did an oil change and replaced my battery without asking. When I picked up my car there was an empty soda bottle left in my car and something spilt on my passenger seat. When I complained about this and about the noise still being there, they were very rude. My boyfriend had his car there at the same time as mine, when he picked up his car a very expensive jacket was missing. I called back and complained about the jacket and was treated as if I was lying and asked “what was my point of calling and telling them this because I can’t prove it”. If you take your car here do NOT leave anything of value in your car. This has been the WORST experience with an automotive shop I’ve ever had.
I went there to get a simple job that should not have costed me more then 2k and they overcharged and i had no choice but to sign the title over. Now i am without a vehicle and money. If you really want fair prices dont go here. They overcharge for normal vehicles.
DO NOT GO HERE! They botched a simple repair job, causing me more problems just a week later. They also tried to get me to do an extra $1000 worth of work that wasn't needed and had no relevance to the problem I wanted them to fix, which was simply to replace the transmission cable. For example, they insisted my oil needed to be changed even though it had been just a couple months before that and I hadn't put that many miles on my car since I use public transportation to get to work. Also, they have horrible hours for anyone with a full-time job, so if you take your car to them, be prepared to take time off work in order to do it. Who the hell is not open on Saturday?
