My boyfriend was in a car accident and they towed his car on Sunday morning; you cannot do anything on Sundays which is a bit frustrating for people who need their cars. They stole his rayban sunglasses out of his truck which is disappointing. Unfortunately you can’t confront or ask them about it since they will deny it. Please do not leave anything valuable in your car even when you’ve just been in a car accident. Please have more decency and respect.
I cannot say enough good things – Chris from A&M saved me. When my car stalled out in the middle of a busy, six-lane street I was by myself, and incredible scared and overwhelmed. As a woman in her 30s, I felt vulnerable and concerned for my safety. I was put through the ringer with Audi roadside assistance for several hours, with no relief or actual assistance. Montgomery County police had to call a tow truck for me, and I was so frustrated knowing I would have to pay out of pocket. Chris from A&M showed up half an hour later, and I am not exaggerating when I say I immediately felt relieved. He greeted me and the police officer upon arrival, offering the safety and security of the air conditioned cab of his truck while he towed my SUV — which he very kindly promised me would not damage my vehicle. He took my car exactly where it needed to go, and all the while was remarkably kind, comforting and patient. As a woman in her 30s, navigating a broken-down car by herself for the first time in my life, it means a lot to say that I felt like I had an advocate. I was safe, my car was safe, and I *felt* safe, thanks to Chris from A&M. And that’s the highest compliment you can give. Thank you, Chris, for helping me and being so kind!
If I could give zero stars I would. The guy at the front desk was very unprofessional and rude! There were no signs displayed in the office of towing rates. I paid $400 to get my car back from being towed to A&M after an accident.
This company towed my luxury car without my permission and caused MAJOR damage. The owner Mark Johnson refuses to take responsibility despite the damage being consistent with damage frequently caused by tow trucks. My bumper is hanging off of my new car and dragging across the ground and there are scratches on my back bumper and all he can say is, “we don’t give out insurance information. We don’t claim responsibility for damage”. I am going to the police and launching a full investigation as well as taking them to court.
Save yourself the damage and do not work with this company!
Update to their response: My car was not abandoned, it was in the parking garage right below my apartment and I left it in pristine condition the day before they touched it. A police report has been filed, there are cameras in the parking lot and I have photos of my car with the boot on it, a day before they touched it. The bumper is hanging off of my car, multiple pieces of my car were lying underneath it at the tow yard (I have videos). If this damage was done before they towed it, how could the pieces of my car make it back to the tow yard? Wouldn’t they have been left wherever the car was damaged at? The scratches on my bumper have yellow paint all in them, the same yellow paint used to write the tow number on my windshield. See you all in court.
Mr. Montez was very helpful in a number of different ways. The service that I requested was for a tow, due to a flat tire. He offered to put on a spare or donut if I had one readily available (which I did not). Secondly, he offered to take me to a location other than the one that I had requested originally. Being that it was getting pretty late, he knew a place that was true 24\7 location, which was exactly what I needed.
It was cold outside and he kept the cabin nice and warm during the ride. He also advised me some of the better and more cost effective options for replacing tire for my vehicle. I'm very grateful that he was able to share his knowledge and expertise. He also exuded extremely strong work ethic as well as world-class professionalism. This gentleman is truly an asset to the organization. Thanks again for saving the day!
This is my first time dealing with a towing company. I have heard a lot of bad things about the towing industry. But it turned out a peasant experience with A&M towing, under a stressful situation. The fees are clear. Mark at the office is honest and helpful. The driver Giovani is a very friendly hard-working guy, and he did a good job towing and delivering my vehicle.
Staff is friendly and caring. I didn't have the right tools to get my plates off my totaled car, so they assisted with that. Mark helped me figure out how to get out of the mess I'd gotten myself into and was able to help me find a solution to deal with my car. Greatly appreciate their care and attention to customer service. Thanks Mark and team! Parking lot is a little tricky, so fair warning, but if you find yourself in a mess, they're great!
Long story short, our car got hit by another car running extremely fast in the early morning at 5:05 a.m., and one of the police officers requested this towing truck company to tow our disabled vehicle. The old guy named Scott whom I supposed is the owner of the towing company was very rude and unprofessional because we came early before the office's opening hours as there was no office hours posted on Google or his business card. At least, he handled our badly damaged wagon carefully when releasing it from the lot without any further damages.
HORRIBLE. Upon retrieving my vehicle, discovered damage to the left front bumper, left fender and rocker panel. It was determined my vehicle was dropped and dragged. I was told the owner would call but that never occurred. I called the company several times and was treated rudely. I explained the behavior was not necessary and as the customer, the behavior was unacceptable. The person hung up. I called back and it was a battle back and forth and was told whatever because she was the owner. Called again inquiring when would I receive a call and the same person said Mark was on a tow. I felt after several hours, particularly because “Mark”, when initially informed, stated he wanted to see the vehicle and would call. Several hours is not acceptable with no communication. Therefore, I will involve my insurance company. The female owner said “Go For It”. The reckless handling of my vehicle, the unprofessional behavior, and the total disregard for my concerns, this company should not be in business. Customer service, regardless of the circumstances, is the foundation of a business. It has been 4 days and no call from “Mark”, no acknowledgment.
Vehicle was towed for no reason as it was in my assigned spot. Called to ask why it was towed and Amy (who was completely unprofessional) states it was towed for being in a reserved spot. When I also stated who I work for and how new permits haven’t been issued yet, she states “oh that’s nice”. I then asked for a supervisor to speak to and she states “I can’t give you that information”. Completely unprofessional and worst service ever provided over the phone to a police personal.
What an amazing experience I've had. I was in an accident and my car was towed to A & M. I read the reviews and was disturbed by them. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by such an amazing husband and wife team. I highly recommend this company for your towing needs. Thank you Mark and Team.
Had my car towed here after an accident. The gentleman who originally towed my car was very helpful and provided lots of info. When I went to get my property out of the vehicle, the guy in the office was very friendly and professional and helped me understand the process of getting my insurance to pay the bill. Their prices are very reasonable too. It was so nice to have these guys helping me out during such a stressful event.
The drive shaft on my Honda Accord snapped in half near Goshen and my car needed to be towed. I called RELIANCE Auto Repair Services in Gaithersburg and they had A&M towing tow my car to the shop.
They did a great job taking care of my car and for a great price and the driver was really nice. Compared to other towing companies that charge way too much and ruin your car when picking it up.
I definitely recommend A&M Towing for anyone in the DMV area. Great price and service.
