One of my first stops on my Maryland antiquing adventure. I've been here before over the years, but it's probably been about a year or so since I stopped in; unfortunately there hasn't been much change as far as new or interesting booths or stock rotation from existing ones. Many displays were nearly identical to what they were during my last visit over a year ago. I stopped in on a Saturday, so I expected it to be busy, but it seems that this store either has an inefficient register system, or needs more helping hands. The store has an abundance of showcases, and like any other antique store, you must ask an employee to unlock them for you; I wanted several items (and took pictures on my phone to provide the booth numbers) and it still took about an hour to gather the four items I wanted. This was not the staff's fault, as there was a long line at checkout, but it seems it would be more efficient to have some staff work register, and others open cases to eliminate the long wait. The staff is a bit of a mixed bag, while I personally have not had a negative experience, I did have some negative observations while waiting. There was a cheerful man working one register, who was very chatty with customers. (TOO chatty.) I stood off to the side waiting for one of the cases I'd asked for to be open, and he just would not stop talking. He turned every transaction into an interrogation asking hundreds of questions to the customer while the line continued to back up and the woman at the opposite register continued to get the line down essentially solo, not efficient or appropriate. Speaking of inappropriate. this store is one of the stricter malls I've been to in terms of its policy about bags (a sign on the door says no large purses) while the rule is understandable, Old Glory seriously needs to give instructions on how to confront people violating the policy. A woman at the desk loudly called another customer out and told her the store "didn't accept" large bags. The wording feels a bit brusque and unwelcoming. Issues aside, this is my favorite stop for vintage clothing and accessories, and this store has an abundance of it, so all in all, I left very happy with my wallet a little lighter! Will definitely be back, but I hope they work on some of their functionality.

Pretty diverse little antique mall probably has about 50 dealers for the most part. The prices are pretty good. I wish that the dealers would rotate or update their items more often but otherwise I usually enjoy visiting this antique mall.

I had a disappointing experience during my recent visit. While there were about ten customers waiting in line, an employee wearing brightly colored glasses and a hat was in the back of the store gossiping with another employee. They were openly discussing a leak in the roof and criticizing the male employee working at the register, saying he doesn’t work hard enough. It was uncomfortable to witness this kind of behavior, especially with a long line of customers waiting to be helped. Instead of supporting their coworker during a busy time, they chose to stand in the back and complain. It gave the impression of a toxic work environment and poor teamwork. Unfortunately, this experience has turned me off from returning. I hope management addresses the professionalism and customer service issues.

This antique store has gotten stale. Many of the booths are sparsely stocked, and others seem like no new items have been added in months. The store policy on contacting a dealer to negotiate a better price needs to be revised.

Great antique store! Was on the hunt for vintage Pyrex and they had tons of pieces! Lots of other unique items as well.

Well organized. Staff was super-friendly and helpful. They had a good understanding of the treasures hiding in the store despite there being so many vendors! All manners of treasures to be found.

Friendly and helpful staff, knowledgable dealers, LOTS of well stocked and well maintained booths with a diverse variety of items and price points to choose from! Many booths have ongoing sales, and if an item meets the price requirement ($100) many dealers are willing to negotiate or take offers. For those taking issue with the purse size policy (bags must be same size or smaller than the sign on the front door) it’s there due to breakage risk (some booths are quite well stocked with a narrow walkway) Staff is diligent about enforcement of this policy, but are always polite and direct on the matter. I find something cool almost every time I visit, highly recommend!

Fun place to browse - a little something for everyone. Vintage clothing, handbags, and dishware. Old tools, binoculars and knives. Lots of books and kiddie items. (Note: Not much furniture or large ticket picks.) Prices are on the higher side. Now for the crunch: EXTREMELY SLOW CHECKOUT. Maddeningly slow, in fact. Three stars in this review actually means 2.5 due to the turtle-like clerk.

Awful!!! The old lady was SO rude! Short grey hair, glasses and a rbf. I was actually going to shop for my NC business and would have hopefully ended up with a Uhaul full of antique purchases, I was excited to come all this way. I use a mobility device for my multiple sclerosis, the awful lady looks me up and down and then tells me to leave my small Coach purse with her so I don’t steal things!!!! No welcome or hello. I am wearing v nice business attire and I believe very presentable. I nicely let her know I need my bag with me for medical reasons…. She asked me to leave. I don’t think so ?

My wife and I recently visited Old Glory Antiques in Frederick, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. As soon as we entered, one of the two women at the front desk immediately questioned whether my wife’s handbag was “too big” and suggested she leave it in the car. The comment was both unnecessary and inappropriate — and it was painfully clear to us that my wife, who is African American, was being racially profiled, as we could see several Caucasian women shopping with large purses. We are an older couple, in our 60s and 70s, and were impeccably dressed. There was no reason for us to be treated with suspicion. The encounter left us shocked and uncomfortable. When we returned home, we looked up other reviews and was saddened to see that several people have reported similar experiences. I strongly encourage anyone considering a visit to think twice. There are many wonderful antique shops in the Frederick area where all customers are treated with respect and courtesy — this is not one of them.

I have enjoyed this store in the past with no issues so it really makes me question whether my purse size was the issue. Or are they using that as an excuse to profile? My teen daughter and I frequent not only this antique shop but a number of them in Frederick county because they are close to home. And my purse is an average cross body bag. Not a back pack or anything and I have never had an issue before. The difference this time though is that my daughter now has pink stripes in her hair and happens to be wearing baggy pants, or maybe it was the color of her friends skin. Either way that was the last time I will step foot in that place. You don’t deserve my business if you expect me to leave my purse in my car in your parking lot, it is the cut through for all the homeless to get to Royal Farm and Walmart. Learn the difference between a bag and a purse and stop using that policy as an excuse to profile people coming into your store. You are costing your vendors potential customers because of your blind assumptions on looks.

We won’t be back and we were regular customers. The ladies who run the front desk have become even worse. They are not courteous and less than helpful; asking them to open a case during store/business hours is too much of a chore. They are also obnoxious with their “purse” policy. Frankly, they are plain rude. If I were a vendor reading this, I would take my booth elsewhere as you are losing tons of money to the management running this place. We will skip shopping here ever again.

We love this shop, we stop every time we are in the area. It's loaded with goodies

I understand the need for rules but sometimes this is ridiculous. I’m diabetic and my normal purse is a bit oversized and I keep everything I need in it like my insulin, snacks, etc. A lady with an accent and pink hair told me the purse wasn’t allowed. I asked if I could leave it up front. She said no, I had to leave it in the car.. fine, okay. The only other bag I had was a small old navy cardboard bag. I got stopped again and had to announce my condition in front of multiple people checking out. It was very embarrassing. I actually ended up apologizing to THEM out of embarrassment. One of the ladies did apologize to me privately, which I appreciative of. She was very kind and sympathetic. I understand she couldn’t have known. And her consideration is why I’m leaving this place 2 stars instead of 1. As I was leaving (after not buying anything because I just didn’t see anything I liked) the woman with the pink hair told me again I couldn’t have the small brown old navy bag. I understand it might look suspicious, but it wasn’t my first choice to shop with obviously. I told her again that I had to put my original purse away and this was the only bag I had that would hold my insulin, wallet, keys, snacks, etc. and that I was leaving anyways. If you come here, make sure you bring multiple purses so you can go back and forth until you find the arbitrary size the staff deems appropriate. If you have a diaper bag or any larger bag needed to carry supplies, I would just skip out unless you’re prepared to have to disclose why you need the bag in front of people multiple times. In my opinion the antiques just weren’t worth the hassle. I’m sure they’re nice people and vendors, but it was just a mediocre to unpleasant experience overall. It’s a shame they have a theft problem.

I came in 1 hour before closing. Charming Antique "Mall". The first booth has high end antiques and MCM modern. Fair price, but I like to dig! Down around the end isle, I see lots of options, Roseville, Van Briggle, !!30% off. I peruse and keep looking. Then I found the treasure! A box of Vintage hand made cloth dolls from Colonial Williamsburg in the original box. $38 for 5! Woohoo! I keep shopping and find other treasures. Nice people, but I only got an hour. I'll be back.

Old Glory Antique Market Place has a very interesting setup with a great selection of unique pieces—I loved what I found! However, the experience was a bit frustrating. The staff were super slow, and they have some odd rules about only getting keys for one display at a time, which made browsing more tedious than it needed to be. The checkout process was also painfully slow, taking about 20 minutes. Despite these issues, the quality of the antiques made it worth the hassle.

I wasn't going to post a review until I read the other ones. I walked in with my daughter and we were talking and deciding which direction to go and this woman at the counter said in a very rude and loud voice that I could not bring my purse in. There were several other women with large purses in there and I asked why. She said I would break something and she was very nasty. When I saw the other lady mention in her review that she had a Louis Vuitton and I had the same struck me as odd. I probably go into 20 antique stores a month and never has anyone said a thing about my purse. I cannot believe how nasty she was and I will never come back. I hope the vendors there know how the people coming in to spend are being treated by the extremely rude staff. Terrible treatment and I make sure to tell my many other antique loving friends about how I was treated so they know not to visit.

Very large antique store with something for everyone. Some booths can be a little overpriced but there are some treasures to be found if you are patient.

This place is great! I’ve been here twice and both times saw many intriguing little treasures, including some stuff from the World’s Fairs. I ended up buying a couple small metal platters (possibly ash trays) from the 1933 Century of Progress Expo and 1964 New York World’s fair respectively and was dumbstruck to find a ribbon from the 1893 World’s Colombian Exposition, My favorite World’s Fair, and was heartbroken to see it was way outside my price range?. I also saw some really cool things ranging from Old Halloween decorations to a giant raygun. Also of note is that the people there are very nice. I had a lovely chat with the lady up front while i was checking out, about the book The Devil In The White City, the 1893 worlds fair and H.H. Holmes. I wholeheartedly recommend checking it out if you like finding unique stuff and hopefully someone will buy that ribbon and give it a good home.

My first time shopping here. Great stuff in here, seemingly helpful staff but I was made to feel like I was going to rob or steal from the place just for asking to hold or look at things as they were getting it out of the case. I mean, I kind of get it, but it was super weird and strict. I didn't see them doing this with anyone else but me. I've never experienced this kind of treatment at an antique store. I spent a lot of money there but not sure I'll be returning. There are plenty of other places I can go where I'm not made to feel like I'm a possible thief.

Returned after a long pandemic hiatus and surprised it was still going strong after so many rumors of pending closure. Although I notice some changes, the dealer spaces still appear to be well-stocked with interesting vintage and antique merchandise. The staffing could be better for opening showcases, but that might simply reflect a Sunday visit. Generally speaking, it's still a great place to shop and worth a drive from DC.

Well, the horrible man who checked out my over $100 worth of fine goods at the front counter was the meanest nastiest man you could ever imagine. As a matter of fact, I mentioned him at a place in Winchester and they had heard about him. Isn't that a nice reputation? It was my first time ever in the store which had some exceptionally fine wears from the vendors - But the treatment at the front desk checkout was bar none. He also had a vendor they're helping him for free who he was yelling at. And my Lenton vase which i have just unpacked, which was in perfect condition and was not inexpensive, has one of the beautiful handcrafted porcelain flowers on the front broken off of it now that I've gotten it home. They insisted on stuffing them into a box when I kept saying no. Please don't do that. I have a box for them in my car. And of course there's a huge sign that says no refunds are exchanges. So even though they broke it, I'm stuck with a broken piece that cost me a quarter of $100. That's not what I left the store with and that's not the condition I picked it up in. The man actually brought me to near tears and the vendor who was helping him walked me to my car to try to make it right and say that. Oh no! He was actually really talking to me and he's like that all the time and I said well number one my first time here number two. I spent a good bit number three. I am the customer and there is no reason to berate a customer about anything when they're simply standing there waiting for their items to be checked out and paid for. So there may be some lovely ladies working there. I'm not aware of that but I am where that this horrible curmudgeon is to be avoided and that there are many, many other shops around. I will never visit there again. BAD EXPERIENCE. In the forever, chipped vase, is pictured here.

Absolute favorite store ever!! Could spend hours in here looking around. The staff is always helpful helping you find specific things. Lots of new stuff all the time and venders are always changing. It’s hard to not leave here spending $50 since you always find something you like.

This place has lots to see. I bought the majolica rabbits there that is shown in the photo below. Most booths are filled with things to enjoy for your home or to collect. You will find lots of jewelry there, even some fine jewelry. It's good to see this place is still thriving after all these years. Lots of parking and all on one floor. Handicap accessible.

This is one of the best antique stores in the Frederick area. They have tons of great finds and by tons, I mean TONS. There is so much to look at here that it was almost overwhelming to take in the sight of everything as soon as I walked in the door. I'll be honest, I have driven by Old Glory Antique Market Place hundreds, if not thousands of times having lived in Frederick for some time now. I just always seemed to overlook this place. Now that I have visited, I will most definitely be coming back. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are some of the best that I've seen in town.
