Second Chances Garage has been extremely professional and helpful. I bought a car right off the lot and they were honest and easy to deal with. Teya, John and Russ made me feel welcome and comfortable with my questions and concerns. This was the easiest transaction I have ever had with a vehicle. Most of all I was excited to learn that my purchase supports the programs they have there!

Let me give a HUGE shot out to Second chance garage. I have used them before and returned to have some recommended and new work done. They are honest about what's going on with your car, they are extremely fair in prices ( which is must needed in this time of rise in prices for just about everything )and just all around great honest people. I had another great experience today with having my tires mounted and balanced and an oil change. They checked my brakes for me and gave me a timeframe and estimate of when to replace. They always exceed my expectations and are so helpful with figuring out issues. I will always take my car here!

We had a "well-loved" car that finally hit the point of no return, and we were pointed to Second Chance's as a great way to help other folks who need a ride. They were absolutely awesome - the whole process was fast and they said that either they can fix it up and get it back on the road, or use the parts for people who need to fix their cars cheaply. It's a MUCH better option than just sending it to a junk yard or trying to sell it myself. And they'll even send a form back for a tax deduction as well!

What an awesome place to donate your used vehicle to. They have a complete vehicle garage with excellent mechanics. They will take vehicles in all conditions and all ages. They will even come and tow your vehicle if it doesn't run. The mechanics will either repair or salvage parts, depending on the repairs. The minimum tax deduction is $500. If they can repair and resell it to a needy person, you could get more of a deduction. Their website explains it all. You can even start the donation process online. They will then call you the next business day to finalize. Please note that they do close for lunch from 12 to 1. John and Tia work in the front office and are very responsive and nice. This non profit plays a very important role in helping local working class folks get an affordable car so they can get to work. Something a lot of us take for granted. Please note that their location is at the intersection of 6th and Market streets in Frederick. Their parking lot is small and full so it is best to park on 6th street. There are no meters there so parking is free. This is our place to donate our business and personal vehicles!

John, He has always been so nice and courteous. He's always up front about your vehicle. He tells you exactly what it needs and the cost. I would recommend second chance to everyone. The staff there's always nice and polite, when john is not available.

They are super welcoming, cheap and knowledgeable. They were absolutely incredible and installed my stereo, sold me a great car and fixed my key fob for me! I recommend them to any and everyone!

I just went in the store today and asked about a car and they don't do financing even though the website said so and you have to come up with the payment of whatever is on the sign of the car so the sign says 2900 you guys have to pay $2,900 plus tax for the car and repairs you have to fill out a form online and then they'll schedule you that way not guaranteeing that you'll get the repairs done the same day. The only people they take are people on disability food stamps or have medical and if that's the factor how somebody supposed to come up with $5,000 to make a paint of to buy a car straight out yeah I can't I don't refer to anybody if I could put zero Stars I would

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! They went above and beyond to help my sister get her car in better shape. They did things that I’ve never seen any auto shop so. My sister has been thru so much lately. To see her smile because of the pure genuine kindness and selflessness that second chance displayed is something that would warm the whole world! If you need your car fixed, check this place out if you want an honest and nice auto shop!

They helped me get my Acura on the road. Very professional people. Wow. Went out of their way for the customer. Definitely can trust the people at Second Chances they are amazing!

Absolutely the best experience since I have moved here from NJ where my mechanic of 25 years kept various Hondas of mine on the road for decades. John and John and crew are courteous professionals who also happen to be really great people. What they do for the community is vitally important. They undercharged me as far as I was concerned so I had a little extra to donate to the cause. Thanks guys!!!!

The crew at the garage is fantastic to deal with. We bought a 2005 Honda Odyssey off the public sale lot and had a great experience with the team. We will use Second Chance Garage again, for either a donation or vehicle purchase.

We were keeping our eyes open so I was thrilled when my husband found a second small car, no pun intended, at Second Chances. We have been getting reliable service from a great CR-V with manual transmission, but he told me they got a RAV4 with an automatic. Bless whoever made that donation; now I can get out to my "boys" who I provide help for a couple of days a week.

Best kept secret. Professional/courteous staff and great deals. Upfront and honest. I've purchased a few vehicles here over the past year. No regrets. It's good to know that whatever I purchase goes to benefit the charity. Great work John and John.

Words alone can't express how appreciative I am for the repairs they made to Majesty (minivan) to get her on the road and running smooth. The cost of repairs were way more reasonable than going elsewhere. If I ever have any other repairs needed in the future, I'll definitely return to them. This means so much to me and my family. Second Chances Garage is doing GREAT work for the Frederick County community. The staff in the garage are all very kind and knowledgeable when it comes to car repair. They have an awesome program for low income families. I recommend everyone donate their used cars to this organization instead of "trading in" at the dealership to help build up this community and give back to this great cause!

Second Chances Garages is a very professional and community oriented organization. I had a situation with my brakes over the weekend and a friend tried to work on it but it didn't turn out very well. The next morning, first hour, I called second chances garage, usually you book an appointment before you are seen but, they put me on schedule right on the spot since it was a safety (brakes) issue. John is always professional, welcoming and accommodating. The Spirit of the entire team is very friendly and ready to serve the community to the best of their capacity.
