We had a bum muffler and this company seemed to be the closest available. This occurred at 3:30am and I was told they could have someone come by in an hour. An hour goes by and I called to check in on the ETA and the same guy assures me someone is on their way with in the hour. By 5:30am I try to call again and no response and full voicemail. So I tried calling other 24/7 establishments and finally someone else showed up. This auto service ghosted us leaving us stranded on the side of the road for so long that Florida Road Rangers checked on us twice!!!

Unreliable and rude. Showed and diagnosed the problem. Said they would return. Made sure to collect the service call money. I went 3 days and not a word. I called each day and got excuses. The last call ended with me getting yelled at and told its someone else's fault and he didn't give a crap about my business. Unbelievable!

Broke down in Lake City, Florida. We were pulling a camper and really needed to be home the next day. They were honest (asked what we were looking for…my response “to get home”), professional, and kind. Don’t let the ‘good ole boy’ attitude turn you away. These guys know what they are doing.

I had an incredible experience with A&W 24hr Auto Mechanic who came to our rescue when our car refused to start at a rest stop. From the moment Ricky arrived, it was evident that he was a true professional. He quickly assessed the situation and determined that the starter was completely dead. Despite the late hour and the fact that most stores were closed, he didn't hesitate to take charge. He arranged for our car to be towed to his shop, ensuring that it would receive the attention it needed. But what truly amazed me was his thoughtfulness. Understanding that we needed a place to stay, he generously offered to drive us to a nearby motel where we could spend the night. Even though he had personal commitments, including his granddaughter's first birthday, he never compromised on the quality of his service. He went above and beyond to fix our car and promptly delivered it to us. His dedication and selflessness were truly remarkable. I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by this mobile mechanic. His professionalism, expertise, and compassionate nature made a stressful situation much more manageable. DO NOT USE. called over for a simple alternator replacement and he broke my bracket on my truck and nicked my ac line, that goes over the top of my alternator, with his crowbar. You can see where its spraying out and He jerry rigged the alternator bracket so its back on the road but I called to ask him about it and now he freaks out claiming he didnt break anything and wants me to cover the costs! When he did it RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Now refuses to fix what he broke. Dont use this old man or any of his helpers!

I cannot say enough good things about Ricky and his service! I had some plugs and coils go out on my jeep. Other auto shops quoted me upwards of $1200 and couldn't get to it for days. Ricky was able to fix my car in a day FOR LESS THAN HALF what the other auto shops estimated!! And to top it off, Ricky's demeanor and kindness made the whole experience more like having a trusted family member fix your car. Ricky, thank you for the wonderful service.

They were quick as far as showing up goes, I was ok w the charge for first day but when their first try at solving the issue didn't work then I was not only throwing money at a problem but was stuck overnight,they agreed to come back in morn then charged me 220 on top of things just as their "minimum" to show up only to tell me I need to go elsewhere that can really diagnose the problem,which turned out to be only a broken wire ... basically just saying, their should not have been a 220 charge the following morn for basically no solution, no help. So in end got 70 in new parts,threw 620 at them ,for no solution to problem.From my reading,they do well w the basic repairs,nothing complicated

Had an appointment with A&W to come out and put my suspension back together after I attempted to install a level kit and needed assistance. I was told he would be arriving 3 hours after the initial phone call, and never heard back. Tried calling and texting later that day for an update but never got a response. Disappointed that I waited all day with my disabled truck only to be blown off.

Called on Sunday at 4pm. They were not busy and showed up 45 minutes later. Super friendly and knowledgeable! Went straight to work and was done by 7pm. Thank you for all your hard work and saving us from the side of the road. Will call any time I am in Lake city and in need! ????

I was passing through town when my car overheated. Ricky came out right away, had a tow truck there within 15 minutes to get my car to his shop, and took me to a hotel to relax for the evening knowing the necessary work was in good hands. My car was delivered to me on time the next day at the hotel and I was on my way. Ricky was even kind enough to answer some questions I had the next day while I was traveling and called to make sure I arrived safely at my destination. Highly recommend him … he’s kind, competent, and responsive. No need to call anyone else!

He told us he was on his way. But never showed up, wouldn't answer his phone, and left us stranded for hours. After 2 hours of waiting, we decided to get a hotel because it was too late to contact anyone else. If he just told us he couldn't do it, we would have been able to contact someone else and get back on the road. So we wasted time and money just by calling him. I recommend staying away!

We broke down in the area and called him. He said was available and he’d be there in 45 min. Hour and a half later nothing. I called and texted him multiple times and he totally ghosted us. Wasted at least 2 hours of our time waiting for him and we ended up having to get a hotel too. Very frustrating.

My son was on his way home to FL after visiting us in Georgia. His car broke down. I called a number of this mechanic that I had found online. He was extremely helpful and got my son back on the road again. His rates were more than fair. Under the circumstances he could have charged us a large sum of money, but he did not. Instead, he was very helpful, kind, and was genuinely concerned about my son. Not only was he honest, he was knowledgeable. I recommend him HIGHLY and would use him as my own mechanic if he were closer.

Fair, honest, and went the extra mile. My car overheated on I75 around Thanksgiving - definitely a bad time to break down. I found Ricky through google and took a shot at his services. I had AAA tow my car to his place and he discovered it was the waterpump. He took care of my car in a timely manner and did it for a fair price, he even washed and vacuumed my vehicle. I was able to get me back home and everything works great. Highly recommended!

A&W 24hr Auto Mobile Mechanic (Rickey) was the only person who answered when the wheel bearing went out on my truck at 1:30 AM whilst passing through Lake City, FL with my family. Rickey arranged for a tow service, offered advice on lodging, found parts and repaired my truck in a very timely matter. The service was exceptional, the repair was well done, and the price was economical (should have had him do passenger-side bearing as well). Most honest mechanic I have come across, and I think a Toyota enthusiast as well. His service was a blessing and it got us home; you cannot ask for more.

Hands down one of the few good old school, thorough, caring, and helpful mechanics left in the roadside business. Ive known rick for a little over 2 years ever since he seen me at my mailbox and offered me work (overpaid me for practically doing nothing) and had me help him work on an old f150 with a blowed head gasket (he was driving it the next day after putting it all back together and having to take it apart atleast 6 times to make sure he adjusted something just right) ever since that day rickey ive helped rickey do things around his house and sometimes he has me help him with mechanicing. Let me tell you the one thing that if i had to choose something i like the least about him i would say working with him on vehicles. Rickey is the most thorough, technical, do by the books person ive ever met when it comes to other peoples stuff. If i had a penny for everytime hes taken a tool out my hand to show me how to do something again id probably have around 53 dollars. But thats one of the few things i admire about him. He helps people thats just what he does. He cares for his family and the people he cares about and he makes sure he treats everyone fair. No matter relation. He has helped me fix my vehicles several times and sold me my last one for a low price to help me out and he has never done anything but help and look out for me. But i cant be the only one almost everytime i see him someone is calling his phone telling him what issue they are having or asking for advice or getting service calls and stopping everything he is doing to go to them or someone is pulling up in his yard to goof around/ask him for advice. Rickey is a great family and business man and he cares thats what makes him good at what he does. I recommend anyone thats having issues give him a call for your mechanical issues and i would even say just give him a call and just talk to him, im sure just any conversation with him will lighten up your at the least. Keep on keeping on rickey, and thanks.

All I can say is thank you! What a good old guy out helping people in need 24 hours a day. Wow! I was beginning to think we'd be walking and then I came accross his number. Like a Guardian Angel set to get my truck running again. I highly recommend him and he's moblie! It's a win...win!

Our van broke down just outside of Lake City Florida. The water pump had gone out on our first day of vacation. I do all the work on my vehicles and having my family (including 3 small children) with me and just hand tools I could not fix the pump. We called Mr. Ricky and he was on site within 15 minutes. He told us because of the pump location he would need to have the van towed to his house 15 miles away. This was definitely a worst case scenario. I trusted this complete stranger with my family's vehicle and all of my luggage in the back. Mr. Ricky recommended a state park several miles up the road for us to go to whole we waited. He then had the van towed to his house and within 6 hours we had the van back on the road. I don't trust many mechanic's but in this situation we did not have much of a choice. His hourly rates are very fair and given the difficulty of the water pump location he repaired the problem in a timely manner. This is definitely a honest mechanic I would use again next time I'm in the area. We made the round trip of over 400 miles with no further problems. Amazing and highly professional service. My alternator went bad in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily I found this business on google maps. Mr Ricky answered promptly, arrived in reasonable time, diagnosed and repaired the car swiftly. He is also friendly and reassuring. My wife and I are grateful for his service.

I can’t recommend Ricky enough. He is honest, knowledgeable, and friendly. Our car broke down due to overheating near Lake City, FL, and he stopped by and gave his professional opinion, did diagnostic checks, and made sure that only the services necessary were given. I am super impressed and wish I lived close enough that I could make him my personal mechanic.

My wife and I wher going to Georgia to see family,we stopped for gas in Lake City, our truck wouldn't start after we got gas. It was 10 pm, we got a motel room, called Mr Rickey at 8 am,he came in 15 minutes,the computer went bad,he went and found a computer for the truck, went to many places, found one, put it in, truck started and runs better. Mr Rickey was very nice, price was a lot better than I thought it would cost. I would recommend him to anyone who needs there vehicle fixed,he is very good, friendly, knows what he is doing. We had a brake caliper go bad on our motor home on Friday night and Ricky came out and got us going. Had to make two trips to a parts store 20 miles away and finished us up Saturday morning. Very fair price and couldn’t ask for a nicer guy! Thanks!

Rickey is absoluty great he is down to earth and has exdellent people skills. I first met him about 5 yrs ago .My mercedes benz had an electrical problem and as i went through the car wash at the mercedes dealership.it stoped right in the car wash and had to be towed out. They kept my car for three days . I drove it away however once i reached my destination shut it off it failed to restart once i was ready to leave. The dealership was closed at that time ,which left me feeling angry fustrated and worried how i was going to make it home. Out o fustration i began seatching my phone for a 24hr mechanic. Out of the ones i saw i chose rickey due to a gut feeling he was the one needed. Well let me tell you at first i wasnt sure if he knew what he was doing. He had pulled all kinds of wires out of the ignition switch .Little did i know of his highly skilled experience As he worked i saw his laser beam like focus. After about 20 minutes he had me star my car drive around come back shut it off and restart it. That was five years ago ,i havent had anymore trouble in that area ever since. About two weeks ago my car wouldnt start ,i called Rickey he came to gainesvill all the way from Lake City. He checked my car it turned out the battery was shot. He went beyond the call of duty by taking me to get a battery .We had to go to three stores before finding the correct having the battery that fit. Rickey knew i had had a heart attack three weeks prior and was'nt feeling well . When i asked "how much do i owe you" he looked me in the eye and said nothing use the money to go to your doctors appointments. People out there Rickey is much more than a Master mechanic he is a careing ,empathetic loving human being .i insisted he let me give him something he declined to take anything. We shook hands wished each other the best and went our seperate ways. Rickey provides top Quality service and he is someone who gives a damm about people.

We called for service and Ricky was there in 10 minutes. We were on our way for a fishing trip so we were pulling a boat, had stopped for gas and the truck wouldn’t go into gear. Ricky got us away from the pumps and worked on the truck for over an hour. He got us back on the road and didn’t charge near as much as I thought it would have cost. We would highly recommend Ricky for anyone who needs a machenic.

Ricky saved the day for us, and it was almost all done long distance! Our son was driving back to school when it became clear he needed car service. It was late in the day on a Sunday, so we knew our options would be limited. As our son was approaching Lake City, we were at home trying to find 24 hour service spots on Google. We had no luck until we called A&W. Ricky was actually on vacation, but took our call, and by describing the problem to him over the phone, he was able to diagnose the likely issue. Let me repeat that, he was ON VACATION, and he still took our call and helped us with our problem. When is the last time you found service like that?? Ricky was so kind and helpful. I guess he understood exactly how helpless we felt being so far away from the problem. Ricky (and the people he sent out) clearly knows what he is doing, and more importantly, cares about helping people in need.
