Big waste of time paid to have trans rebuilt. He messed with computers harness so it wouldn't run. So we would pay him more to fix it. Absolute worst mechanic I've ever used. My husband's truck went from running and driving to doing neither. Took almost 6 weeks to do it too. His reply is bold face lies we paid him 3k . Up front once he called and demanded we pay or pick it up in pieces. The only problem with the truck was is sliding occasionally in overdrive. Now thanks to you it would not start. Matter of fact everything we paid you to do you didn't do. Replace the rear main seal the trans cooler you did not replace . You did not You think you could switch things around to make us pay you more money. Thankfully my husband knows how to fix cars. You are a bold face lier and a con artist. The wrecker company told us all about you once they picked up our truck. Apparently they make a good bit of money picking people's vehicles up from you. I think it's funny everyone of these bad reviews it's like the people are just out to get you. Or most likely it's entirely true.

I can't say enough great things about Robert. We are traveling from Indianapolis to south Florida, and while at a public's our transmission line broke. Had the car towed to his shop, not knowing anything about it. It was an easy fixed. He stopped what he was doing fixed our car on a Saturday. We were back on the road, only 2 hours behind schedule. Robert was so great. Easy to work with so kind could not be happier. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Amazing service that kept my business from falling behind on schedule. I needed a rebuilt transfer case ASAP for a small business work truck that was down. I couldn't risk a used unit. So I contacted Absolute Transmission on Tuesday, and wow, they delivered a fresh unit to my door on Friday. Bob was friendly and nice to talk with. He literally went the extra mile for me. So, 5 stars you earned em. Thx

Absolute worst. $2800. Voided 5 year warranty 1 day after repairs were completed. In his shop for 5 weeks. Originally going to be 1 week. Refused to use the shop manual procedure that I gave him that states only 5w30 transmission oil can be used. Refused to use the manual for the clutch cable adjustment. Less than 100 miles it makes a chirping noise from the slip yoke and is grinding going into second gear. Didn’t even clean the new/used. Extremely confrontational. Threats of violence. Usage of homophobic slurs. Made threats of getting his biker gang to come after me. I would recommend doing a background check before anyone considers this man for work. Reply to his reply: He’s says “sir” now but in my face it was homophobic slurs and idiot and moron. I asked if it could be a crush sleeve that was making the noise. FYI if you have issues after he works on it you will have to pay someone else to investigate the problem according to what he has written here. That’s what he told me the day after he completed his work also. After asking if I had a husband or wife so that his motorcycle gang would know what to look for, how could I feel safe returning to this shop?! The pictures don’t lie. This is his work.

Bobby is nice and very knowledgeable. He taught me more about transmissions than I ever knew (always a whole swap gal). Great prices and solid but speedy work. He's the best around

At the age of 74, I have known a very many mechanics, even a few Master mechanix but the owner operator test drove my ML320 Mercedes-Benz. It's shattered my heart to learn that that my sweet baby needs internal repairs to the transmission! ?. I must confess this young man who talked with me about the problem has got to be one of the most brilliant people that I have ever dealt with.. his patience Elsie explained the transmission issues with me was also amazing and appreciated... He did not waste time, BUT was very precise and professional in every aspect of helping me understand what needed to be done for my sweet baby. I can guarantee you if I could afford to have my car revitalize through the repairs he suggested she needs, I would have handed the keys over to him in a heartbeat. My only regret with the telephonic tutorial, as well as his expedient service is that I could not afford what I am certain would have been the finest workmanship available in Lake City, Florida 32025. The bottom line is I was thoroughly impressed with all that this gentleman mechanic has to offer through intellect and expertise. Pay him a visit if you need the best professional repairs money can possibly provide, coupled with a man that is above and beyond the finest repairman in the area. He will not waste your time nor your money, I firmly believe you will find none better anywhere else!!!

Absolute horrible experience paid cash for a rebuilt transmission and didn’t even put 600 mile on it before it stop shifting and he would not warranty it

This place is a joke I do not recommend this place to anyone. The owner is rude and will try to steal your transmission. I had to call the cops and file a police report after he threatened me with a weapon.

My transmission went out after 16k miles after it was supposedly rebuilt by someone else. Mr. Bobby went out of his way and called the people that did the rebuild and had them pay a portion of my bill for a remanufactured transmission that he then installed. Dude built me a transfer case and installed it for less than the parts alone anywhere else. Dude also went above and beyond to get me to his shop to do the work as my truck wasn’t drivable. Definitely recommend.
