Shop was very accommodating after taking my car in. Employees were very understanding and helped me out of a tough situation with my car, despite the fact that I never ended up going through with repairs. Even helped me push my car across the street.
Over the past three years Triple D Automotive has helped us keep our cars safely on the road. Ms. Sam in the office is so kind and helpful. And Mr. Dennis took his time explaining and showing me the problem and outlined the steps to correct it. Very happy to have a functioning car and affordable fixes.
Had a car break down on a trip to Illinois. Needed a new transmission. The dealership in town failed me and based on reviews, Triple D was selected. What a lucky choice. Dennis was wonderful. He not only repaired the car he did it on a time crunch. He made some promises and followed through on everything. Too bad I couldn’t give more than 5 stars. Sam was also very helpful and court.
Traveling out of state for the Gator Nationals when our vehicle suddenly lost turbo power. Our hotel recommended Johnny’s Auto Repair nearby in Lake City. Contacted the very nice desk clerk and after checking they could not see it immediately.
However they kindly recommended Triple D Auto Repair that was previously owned by same person.
Arrived at Triple D Automotive and after actual listening to what I thought the problem was, offered to look at it and in reality, it was my turbo hose popped off.
If there was a 10 star for the honesty, humor, friendliness and knowledge….I would definitely have given a 10.

I literally CANNOT recommend these people enough. My car sat for over a year and nobody could figure out why it was overheating, was told it’s a head gasket amongst a slew of other things by multiple different people, but after FOUR days at Johnny’s; my vehicle is back on the road. If you need affordable work done to your vehicle, you’re at the right place.
Highly recommend!!! Very big props to Dennis! Dennis was so nice and took so much of his time explaining the issue with my car. He made sure I understood exactly what he was telling me, he took his time, brought me out to my car to show me, and never made me feel like a “girl” who didn’t know anything. I also ran everything by my mechanic in my town and everything he was saying my mechanic said that sounds exactly right and the price was on point (as a women, you gotta make sure you aren’t being scammed) Give that man a raise!
Amazing auto repair! I was passing through Lake City pulling a uhaul when alternator gave out. Johnny's was referred to me by the GMC garage that was too busy to get me in. Dennis the owner got me in right away and had me up and running in 2 hours! Great job! Professional staff! Reasonable prices! Friendly and very capable! I have used them several times for my truck and my wifes car. They have always given excellent service with fair and honest prices. Friendly and courteous staff also.
He is very nice and very up front with everything. Explains very well. He is one of the few mechanics that would actually work on my car. I've had some make excuses and others just say they don't want to work on it. This guy not only is willing and able, he also has owned the same car as kind. I truly recommend Johnny's auto on Putnam by the elementary school. He's amazing and very honest.
We had our engine fail while traveling from Miami back home to Illinois after our family vacation. Dennis and his family got us back on the road safe and quick. This man knows his stuff ….. Glad there are still honest caring people out there. This hole engine ordeal was terrible for us but their professionalism went a long way. You’re in good hands here , I highly recommend them.
I would HIGHLY recommend Dennis and his family for any of your repairs!!! I had my engine lock up on the highway and waited over 3 hours for AAA to respond. When they didn’t show, I got my own tow and tried to find a mechanic that would take in at 4:30pm on a Wednesday despite closing at 5pm. Not only did Dennis take my car right away knowing he’d stay a little late, he ran a diagnostic, and discovered it was an issue for the dealership- a locked engine from a recall. Since I was from out of state, we decided to get a hotel for the night while we figured out how to get it to the dealer. Dennis drove us to the hotel, picked us back up in the morning, and took us to find a U-Haul which his daughter Sam found for us.
For a not-so-great situation, I felt that Dennis and his family went the extra mile to help make it easier on us.

Our car broke down on the side of I 10 and the tow company brought us to this shop. The car arrived at about 4:15 PM and they were more than happy to take a look at the car and diagnose it before closing time. Many shops would not take cars so close to closing time, but everyone here was very nice and professional. Dennis was a straight shooter and showed us what was wrong with our car. He was extremely fair with the diagnostic cost and went above and beyond to make our horrible day a little bit better. Hope to never need auto repairs again, but if we do, we will not hesitate to call Dennis at Johnny’s East ?
I bottomed out my van where water washed the road away, made the whole thing shake, alarms on the dash, jacked braking, weird lurching at idle and idle speeds. With the company having two locations, they were able to fit me in for my emergent repair and diagnostic needs, replaced the beaten and broken. The team was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and communicative. Again, Johnny's Auto Repair has done a wonderful job fixing my negligence affordably and way more timely than I honestly expected. Thanks everyone!
Went in to have some wiring done as well as an oil change and tire rotation. They were very reasonably priced and provided excellent service. Thank you! I will definitely be back!
We spent from 9am - 5pm on the side of the road from our bearing blowing out and almost causing our front right wheel to entirely come off (at 70 mph on a 3 line highway). Had an incredibly frustrating day trying to deal with Uhaul. No food, no water etc for the day. We arrived with a 15 footer, on a tow truck and were having a moving company coming to switch out our load at 6:30pm. Did I say there was an imminent tornado at 7pm. Tara, the super woman (did I say amazing human being) realized the problems with heavy rains, darkness and moving from one truck to another. She switched out our truck to a 26 footer with the blessings of the owner. They ate the cost - she just couldn't condone what was about to happen, given what we'd been through. We backed the trucks up to each other and Prime Residential Movers (who were very professional) were able to get the work done with very minimal rain issues. Did I say it was after hours? If Tara is any indication of Johnny's Auto - I would give them my first born, let alone my business. THESE are the kind of people that inspire me!
