Customer service is a complete joke and they need to hire somebody that actually knows the differences between vehicles and have some actual customer service! Disappointed is an understatement for how I feel towards LKQ and the people they hire!
Often times you are quoted an offer for your vehicle and once your vehicle is towed to their shop, they switch up and you are offered a lower price considering you have no way to haul the vehicle away. Smh !! Dishonest Ppl taking advantage of others !!
Imagine driving 65 miles, four hundred dollars, cash, in my pocket, ready to spend at LKQ North Florida - and leaving empty handed, with the money. What an astronomical poor experience! The part I need is a snap in, SNAP OUT part, Chuck!.. & yes, they are in your, ON SITE inventory. I wouldn't return if they were giving the parts away. Don't waste your time or hard earned money!! I'll spend my money somewhere else. OBTW, lady behind us left empty handed also. Good Job Boss.
Chuck that sits at the front desk is a very rude and dismissive man. I ordered a spare tire for my vehicle on yesterday, he said it would be here at 8:30AM and to call when I’m on my way. I called this morning, no answer. When I got to LKQ this morning to pick up the tire he informed me that it wasn’t here and began over talking me and treating me rudely and dismissively. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so rudely after doing what I was asked to do. I did end up returning this tire as I found another company willing to help me with a smile on their face and tone. Chuck even dared me to leave a bad review when I told him I was going to. Very bold.. The last thing I need right now as a single woman stranded without a car was to be treated without regard. Chuck, take a nap or retire!
The part I got from them was a side mounted blinker that is just behind the front wheel on the fender. The one I got doesn't work. I called a reported that it's defective so they reordered another one. Waiting for it to arrive.
Went in for an alternator because mine went out and Chuck was on the desk. I had scraped together just enough to cover the base price with fees and taxes. When he asked me if I wanted to pay a little extra for a longer warranty, I told him I was just squeaking by on the base price. He made sure I was able to walk out with the part I needed with the extra warranty and a little money left over. Above and beyond anything I expected. Highly recommend.
Legitimately still sitting here after waiting in line and couldn't even be acknowledged. Still have been looked at my friend and I, still not acknowledged. Never have I seen a place so rude. 5 ppl who can't even be bothered with our presence. 3 minutes to close now and I'm starting to think their waiting us out. This is what ppl call a business? Since when is customer service to people trying to spend money a wait till they can clock out without working?
I bought a transmission from lkq in lake city, once the transmission was put in we found out it was bad. While I do want to be honest and say the "manager" in lake city was extremely unprofessional and should not be speaking to the public. I do want to point out that if you ever want to get anything I would speak to Shillow, she was extremely helpful and professional. She kept in contact with me about the issue and even had HER manager call me, his name was Jay and he was also extremely helpful. At the end of the day the issue was resolved all thanks to Shillow and Jay!
To bad you can't give zero stars. Apparently their in the business of screwing people over and selling bad parts. The "manager"Jim ...what a joke for a manager. All he does is talk down to you and talk over you. Then has the nerve to blame you for the problem. I am contacting the BBB and have already left a message with corporate office in Chicago. All we wanted was a fair and honest resolution. That's not happening without being treated badly,talked down to and having to jump through hoops that is not in the paperwork. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS IF ITS A MAJOR PART!
Definitely not organized, and the staff answering phones are giving out wrong information or not putting in orders so product is available when customers arrive. Then they only have 2 people helping checkout paying customers and about 6 standing around supposedly answering call instead of helping in person customers. They definitely need to get more organized.
Great alternative to new parts. It's quite a drive and you don't always get perfect parts.if not, you are responsible for driving there to return. Check your parts before you leave.
It would have been great to have all the items I needed but my vehicle is still on the newer side but at least I got two of four things customer service was a plus...I will have to check back when they get the other two items in :-)
Very unprofessional experience. I spoke with Chuck on Friday to order a GPS screen and a radio trim bezel for my truck. When I called on Monday to check on the status he informed me that they broke the part and also had an attitude about it. All he could tell me was what he could not do and not help me find a solution to my problem. Definitely will not buy any more parts from LKQ and I will switch all my business to eBay parts and make sure I buy from an individual. Thanks for the hard lesson LKQ I learned!
Wide variety of parts, with average to high prices. Dealt with a sales rep to get a quote for a customer. Called to purchase the part and couldn't get the rep on the phone. Stayed on hold for 45 mins trying to get someone on the phone, and after repeated attempts to reach them, found out the unit I needed had been sold. Local salvage yards usually have much better prices and customer service
A mega store for discount auto parts!! Poor customer service was horrible and I was the only one in line for 10 minutes and no one asked me was I being taken care of. Easy access to and from the highway so that's a plus.
Good place to get used auto parts.
Just avoid the body parts unless you want to get some of their all scratched up and dented at a high price.
I paid $300 for a hood that was supposed to be in good condition, after waiting a week the hood showed up with a bunch of dents and damage from transportation. I got a full refund but I still had wasted a week waiting for it.
The people are usually friendly and go out of their way to help you.
They can have parts delivered from all over the united state's. But you have to pay up front to get them.
There prices vary depending on the age of the part and miles on the donor vehicle.
Kind of like a junk yard, but they don't let you go in to the yard and view the inventory.
I ordered a part that was the same color as my truck so I didn't have to paint it to match.
Overpriced used parts. Wants almost new prices for used hood and fenders. Not even the color of my car. Less time consuming and aggravation to just get new for $50 more and paint it correct color
RIP OFF $2045.00 We have been buying from LKQ for many years, until recently they have been johnny on the spot picking up core parts or incorrect parts and reimbusing promptly, Our most recent experience has been less than desirable we ordered a transmission from not our normal sales rep. and the part delived did not fit the vehicle for which it was ordered, many weeks have pasted since they have been informed and they have yet come to pick up part and refund us the 2045.00 which we paid. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE
Scotty was great. When he was able to check for my parts, it took just moments to find them and for me to pay and to have them mailed to my home. The only weakness that I could see in their system is that they have only two desk personnel. They were roughly eight to ten deep in calls while I was there. Because of that I was only able to buy one of the four parts that I wanted to
My daughter ordered a replacement door for her car, gave all the necessary info to get the right piece (s) but it took me 2 trips to get the right color after several phone calls as well. Got a bit of a discount but I'd rate this interaction no more than 3 1/2*
I went back today, 8/5/19, for a specific item but as it's happened before: only one very busy salesperson at the front counter and not much time to really find about the product.
Waste of my time. Man told me they list many parts on eBay to go there. Looked at part on eBay. Overpriced plus shipping for a used part you have to wait days on end. Even called this company before and was on hold 20 minutes before I gave up. Easier ways to get auto parts.
