I dislike writing reviews like this. I was really hoping for a great experience. I really hope that you look into detail as to who performed the inspection of my vehicle and ask if it is worth having someone on your team who may not have been the best fit for the job and do better by your customers. We work just as hard for our money as you do yours. I needed a diagnostic run on my Jeep to determine if the PCM was bad. I told them what I already knew was wrong with my vehicle since it was older and I am fully aware of what needed to be done. The price to run diagnostics is average for the area. However, Before my vehicle was brought in I replaced the spark plugs, wires, and ignition coil that day. Two days later they told me I needed OEM spark plugs and the wiring harness replaced before they could tell me if my PCM was bad. For those 2 things it was over $600 but there were also “shop supply” fees amounting to $200 on there and after taxes and fees it turned into an over $900 bill. I highly doubt the person who checked my vehicle so much as unhooked one of the wires from the spark plugs and checked and seen they were new on a vehicle that hadn’t even been driven for a full hour at that point. I was a mechanic over 21 years. I could tell if a wiring harness on the main gun on a Bradley was bad using a multimeter. If you cannot tell me the wiring harness is bad during an initial inspection without replacing it you are just as lazy as you are incompetent. I can tell you if it’s bad by peeling off the layers of electrical tape and use a $8 multimeter from Harbor Freight. I can almost guarantee they did not unwrap the tape from the wiring harness and inspect the wires but yet they said some of the pins in the wiring harness did not have continuity? Well if you inspected it thoroughly you would know what’s wrong. There are only so many faults for one problem either it is or it isn’t. Half the work had been done for you on figuring it out. If honest work had been done and I had been told definitively that the wiring harness was bad and exactly where the problem was in it nothing else, not some nonsense about using OEM spark plugs since I changed them you might have gotten my business. I would have also accepted I needed to replace both the wiring harness and the PCM but the end result would be my vehicle going to a dealership because I want a warranty on a PCM. I do not want to be contacted about my review. I am beyond disappointed, especially as a veteran.

I want to begin this review by saying that the people at A&R are always friendly and I've always felt that I can trust them. The shop is clean, and they make payment, pickup, dropoff, and communication easy. The inspection reports are very nice to have, and their shuttle service is very convenient. However, I'm not very happy with my most recent visit. I brought my car in for an engine misfire and an issue where all of the warning lights/messages on my car were going off at once. After a couple of days, I was told that they identified the issue and that I needed my spark plugs replaced. When I got the estimate for my service, I was hit by a pretty big sticker shock, but they had my car for two days at that point so I was experiencing a bit of the sunk-cost fallacy. After paying $787.68 for this ($200.80 to diagnose the electrical concern, $528.53 to replace the spark plugs, plus some additional fees) I got my car back a couple of days later with none of my issues resolved. They had (thankfully!) discovered some damage to my undercarriage that I had repaired at the dealership through my car insurance. After that undercarriage repair also did not resolve my issues, I did some digging on possible causes for my problems and found that it's common for my model car to have the warnings issue (and possibly the misfire) due to issues with the 12v battery. I was interested to see what their findings were about that. Upon looking closer at the inspection report from A&R, I saw that the battery was not tested "due to location". I got in contact with the shop and I was told that it wasn't tested because it would have been dangerous to do so due to the damage under the car. I understand that; I wouldn't want someone risking their life. However, it's a bit upsetting that I was charged $200 for an electrical inspection that didn't include an integral part of the electrical system. I can't decide whether I'd be more upset to have paid full price for that or to learn that $200 is a discounted rate for not being able to complete the inspection. Additionally, when I asked if I could bring my car in to have the battery inspected now that the cable damage underneath was fixed, I was told that I would be charged an extra $67 for that... but that it would have been done free of charge if I had gotten the cable under the car fixed there. I also mentioned that my issue that I brought the car in for was not fixed and there was no offer of another inspection or anything. To conclude, this shop is very expensive and "premium". The good service, clean shop, and great communication is something I've always loved about this place. And I REALLY want to like this place. However, I'm feeling a bit nickel-and-dimed with this service, and I'm honestly scared to bring it back in case they find another expensive repair that doesn't solve my problem. If spark plugs and an incomplete inspection cost me nearly $800 and several days without my car, I'm terrified at how much a more complex service might cost me.

I just recently had some work done on my car at their Fort Campbell Blvd. location. This is the second time I have used this company. I must say everyone was totally helpful and professional. They diagnose my issue and got me going and I believe in a very fair price. I have nothing but positive comments on this business.

Abysmal diagnostic practices and excessive pricing. I was a line technician at a dealership for many years before I could no longer do the work physically, and even at a so-called “stealership,” I never saw pricing like this. They charge a $200 diagnostic fee per issue, yet state that repairs must be completed before the diagnosis can be finalized. That alone is unreasonable. A diagnostic fee should result in a definitive diagnosis, not a conditional estimate. I can understand charging the customer for say, 1 labor hour to at least get the car in the bay, but multiple charges to just "look" at it and tell me it doesn't run is ridiculous. The first red flag came when I asked where the parts were sourced and was told only “local vendor.” The pricing was extreme—race-car pricing for basic components. A kit that typically averages around $200 for OEM replacement was quoted at $722.88. Every other part on the estimate appeared to be marked up roughly 400%, which is completely unjustifiable. Labor pricing raised additional concerns. I was told labor is calculated using AllData. AllData lists this particular job at 6.8–7.3 labor hours. At their stated rate of $185–$200 per hour, labor should have topped out around $1,460. Instead, I was quoted $1,720.86—effectively adding nearly two extra hours of labor with no explanation. That does not include the inflated labor charge for procedures adjacent to such as draining and refilling coolant. I won’t even get into the upselling tactics. Anyone who’s turned wrenches knows how stacking unneeded jobs inflates labor hours. The service writers like to use technical jargon to sound like they are the only professionals in town. Definitely get a second opinion or save yourself the hassle and avoid this shop. End result: I’m out $450 for a “diagnosis” that could have been identified easily without a shop visit. Overall estimate would've cost me around $4500 for a car that costs about $9k. Practices like this are exactly why people distrust mechanics. I understand businesses need to make a profit, but for a shop that markets itself as military-friendly and veteran-owned in a military town, this pricing and approach screams blue falcon and they deserve to be called out. Great idea for a business though, set up a car mechanic shop in a military town where dumb boots can get scammed by sharks with tools.

I brought my Ford Ranger in for a grinding noise coming from the front end. The shop correctly diagnosed a broken axle within a day and even sent a link directly to my phone with pictures and a video showing the damaged part. That level of transparency really gave me confidence in their diagnosis. They had the truck repaired within two days, including completing an alignment to make sure everything was dialed in properly. They also recommended a few additional services but didn’t pressure me—just helpful suggestions. The staff was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. The repair was covered under warranty, so my out-of-pocket cost was great. The truck drives smooth again, and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring it back for future repairs or service. Highly recommend.

Got my jeep in within 10 minutes of calling, had it diagnosed and fixed in the next 48 hours. I had an expensive issue, but the pricing was very transparent, and as a military wife whose husband is gone a lot and unavailable to consult with, I did not feel taken advantage of, or like I didn’t understand why the cost was what it was and what exactly I was paying for. It’s been about a week now, and all the issues I’ve been dealing with for over a year are gone. Also the shuttle service provided was a huge relief.

Great service, my coolant leak is fixed, but definitely pricey. Cost about $900 for a diagnosis and to replace the coolant hose on a 2016 Ford Focus. Comparably, I was charged about $800 total at Meineke days prior for a diagnosis, new alternator including labor, and a break fluid flush, and $200 for diagnosis and replacement of my AC & Serpentine belts at Firestone. Those seemed like more reasonable prices. I’m happy that the leak is fixed, but will definitely try to do my own repairs in the future if at all possible or find an independent mechanic.

I took my 2013 Nissan Altima in because I thought I was having a transmission issue. They said my whole transmission needed replaced and wanted to charge me 8K. I decided to get a second opinion and took it to Nissan Dealer. There was nothing wrong with the transmission - just a little bit of debris. Shame on this mechanic for attempting to take advantage of a single female.

Inctedibly helpful and profressional. They were able to quickly diagnose and assess the issues with my vehicle at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was being helped by a friend with my best interest in mind. Honest, clear communication and affordable prices.

The guys did a good job of putting my van back together although it did make a noise and you checked it out. just want to let you know that it also made that same noise when I picked it up the second time since you said everything was all right I just went ahead and drove it back to Crossville Tennessee. it's fine now. when I okayed the work initially the website asked for my permission to allow you to clean up my car. I got it back dirty. I had it detailed before I gave it to you or before it broke down. when I got it back it had grease on the doors grease on the seats grease on the rug. Although the van is quite old I like to drive a clean car.

One day my car would not start. I towed it to the jeep dealership where they proceeded to keep it for 3 months and break every part which they also made us get for them. I got fed up and took my car to A and R and they ordered all the parts and fixed everything they could find that needed attention. The staff updated me frequently on their progress and they were very friendly. I even got a free oil change voucher. We will come back for all our car needs.
Jan 07, 2026 -
Used a coupon for a free oil change. They didn’t charge for the synthetic oil, oil filter, and labor. You can’t beat a free 100 dollar oil change. (Labor included in price)

I got quick and fast service two days before Xmas, I told them I had a problem and they got on it right away. Turned it in one day and repairs were done the next. The Price you’ll pay is well worth it and will be bringing my Ram 1500 back if I still live in the area in the future

Completely satisfied. I waited a week to post to make sure repair was correct. We're very happy to report that our vehicle is running smoothly and as good as new. Thank you for taking care of our vehicles need and for the excellent customer service and keeping us updated as needed. I highly recommend for your needs.

Do not go to this place! They are liars and do not care about the people nor the work they do. They didn’t even do what they charged me for! And also broke things to try to make me come back! Went to a different mechanic they are the ones who informed me of the mistreatment and MISINFORMATION!!!!. That is ridiculous the people who work at a&r are scammers and do not know what they are doing. Also think they are perfect bc they denied looking at it after I called and asked politely right after they touched my truck. Should honestly be out of business and hope it does. They could really screw over someone that has a bigger family than me that they need to take care and this place would take advantage. Should be ashamed

I used A&R twice and in short, would recommend them for your automotive service & maintenance needs. 2018 F-150 3.5 EcoBoost with cam phaser rattle, misfire and timing codes (big job) & exhaust leak (resonator delete, small job) on my son’s 2004 Cadillac CTS. Customer service was great for me both times. Jake, Chad and Christy(spelling?) were very personable, polite, communicated well and provided updates often. Labor price was a little high for the Ford job, but I prefer supporting local family-owned businesses when possible and it was worth it since I’m not physically able to do that kind of work anymore. With a job this big you can expect most mechanics to miss some things here and there (regardless who does it), but the test is what the company/mechanic does in response. I identified issues upon pickup, they listened to my concerns and vowed to make it right. Plus, they gave me a loaner vehicle each time I dropped the truck off to address new issues. I could have used my insurance company for a rental, but didn’t have to because A&R offered one, free/complimentary. This meant a lot since the Ford is my only vehicle. It allowed me to take care of my daily responsibilities without missing a beat. They even did some things I wanted done on the truck, but didn’t pay for because prices can add up quick. I appreciate that. As for issues I had with my truck after pickup, It would be easy to point fingers and assign blame, but understanding the maintenance process, technology, training, human error, old parts going bad (breaking, tearing, etc. during the process) and newly installed OEM parts being defective right out of the box (this happens) can make a difference in how you view services you receive. This is true regardless who you choose to work on your vehicle. They replaced some parts free of charge, whether they were defective already, they broke them or condition was unknown, which showed their commitment to me as a customer. Ford would not have done this. They would have charged for every little thing, even if they broke it. In the end, you want your vehicle fixed and so does A&R. You want to get on with your life without having to worry about your vehicle anymore (short term) and A&R wants to continue providing a necessary service to our community by keeping us on the road and safe. Reputation means a lot to any family-owned business, which is why I feel they take customer service very seriously. Choosing a big name dealership may or may not be what’s best for you, but I feel they are so big and so powerful, individual customers are not as important to them as their Brand. There’s no doubt in my mind A&R places emphasis on training/feedback to mechanics, lessons learned, customer service and performing quality work. They strive to be better. As long as you, the customer, understand this and don’t have unreasonable expectations you will have a great experience if you choose A&R. If you are hesitant about where to take your car, I highly encourage you to give A&R a chance. I’m confident they will do right by you. Support your local Family-Owned Businesses. Happy Thanksgiving! Note* Photo is not my vehicle, but added as a visual of similar vehicle having same work done.

Excellent service provided. I needed a brake master cylinder replaced and they went above and beyond my expectations to making sure my truck was up and going and that it was safe to drive once again. They have definitely earned my business from now on. Job well done to everyone there. Thank you so much.

I took my truck to get serviced there. I like the fact that they send you pictures of everything they suggest to be fixed, however they are also pretty pricey. When I took my truck, they called me to pick it up, as soon as I got inside, the check engine light was on, so I had to leave it with them again for an extra day. You would think they would check that there are no check engine lights or any problems when returning a vehicle to a customer. Additionally, now that I have the truck back, I still hear a ticking sound as well as the tire pressure system light is on. After spending over $7000 with them to get my truck fixed, I feel like these shouldn't be issues I should be having.

Great communication and service. I had a faulty wire in my car and they fixed it! I had two other mechanics say I need to replace the entire wiring harness.. but A and R took the time and did the work to fix the specific wire that needed repair! Highly recommend

Posting on behalf of my fiancée who had a great experience dealing with the dreaded check engine light and associated code. A&R Auto – Clarksville, TN A&R Auto absolutely went above and beyond for me. The repair cost for my vehicle was more than I could afford, and they immediately stepped in to help me find a financial solution so I could still get my car fixed. They even provided a loaner vehicle while the work was being done, which was a lifesaver. As a hospice nurse, my vehicle is essential for visiting my patients, and as a mom, I’m constantly driving my kids to school and extracurricular activities. The entire team the office staff, technicians, and manager worked together to make sure every detail was taken care of so I could continue my day-to-day life without stress or interruption. They followed up afterward, stayed in communication, and made the whole process incredibly smooth. I didn’t have to worry about towing my car, shopping around, or trying to find a rental. They handled everything and were genuinely accommodating every step of the way. I’m so grateful for their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to helping their customers. Highly recommend!

I was traveling through town and noticed my camper van awning was coming loose. A&R tired rescued me by taking my van in their shop on the spot and making it secure again for travel. I am so thankful for their kind and timely service!

This establishment is AWESOME. I'm so happy with my service and the work that was done on my Cadillac XT5. The quality and professionalism that was given to me is SIMPLE OUTSTANDING. The courtesy shuttle and the vehicle loaner I was given, so I could attend Tennessee State University Homecoming 2025. Thank You is an understatement. I can truly say your company is a Blessing to me and I will always come back to you when I'm in need of car service. GOD BLESS YOUR STAFF AND BUSINESS. I REALLY APPRECIATED YOUR HOSPITALITY THE CARE YOU PROVIDED FOR ME. Ms. Tracey Falls

I'm convinced these guys dont do any work. They charge a ridiculously high diagnostic fee at $200+ and then you have to call them to get the diagnostic because they won't contact you about it. Then, they give you an outrageous estimate where you have no choice but to say no and still owe them the diagnostic fee. Look at this estimate for a 2011 Honda Pilot used engine replacement. Prior to bringing my Honda, we brought in our 2016 Corolla and they estimated $1500 for a driver-side axle replacement. These guys overcharged the heck out of you so that they can collect the fee without ever doing any work. Unethical, shady, bad business. Do not bring your car here unless you want to be ripped off.

The Ft. Campbell A&R Complete Auto Care is AMAZING! I visited this establishment to have my vehicle's A/C inspected and repaired. The young lady at the front desk was super bubbly, energetic, personable and professional. Sadly, I never met the technician(s) who analyzed and worked on my vehicle, but he/she did phenomenal work and within ONLY two days time. And they have a shuttle to transport you back home; the gentleman who drove me home was very kind and captivating and I engaged in fun conversation with him. If you have vehicle needs, PLEASE consider this location! They are fast, friendly, informative and they know their stuff. Boss Man/Woman, give these people a raise! Thank you A&R Complete Auto Care!

If we could give 10 stars we would! My wife and I live in Indiana and our daughter's car failed near Ft. Campbell. We were worried about finding a reputable auto mechanic. A&R was very responsive and understood our situation. Ryan was very helpful, knowing that we were trying to diagnose a problem from long distance. He was honest and made sure to keep us informed at every step. In no time, our daughters car was fixed. The folks at A&R seem like family and made us feel comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We also liked the process used to share the estimate, allowing us to approve different services from our phones. We highly recommend this wonderful business.

I did my research and this location on Ft. Campbell Blvd came highly recommended and I'm completely satisfied that I took my car there. I was ableto get a next day appointment and dropped my car off on the way to work. Both the diagnostics and the work were less expensive than the dealership. There was a lot of transparency with the cost and work being done, they were very professional and Ryan was very helpful and informative when I had questions. I have some more issues to work out and I will be going back. Daisy is my new best friend.

I am not one to leave reviews especially high star reviews. A&R customer service is exceptional. We took out C300 for service for our daughter turning 16. We asked for the car to be serviced and looked over for safety. Upon picking up the vehicle A&R had a balloon along with flowers in the car for our daughters birthday. The service they provide is top notch and our family definitely recommends 10/10. Thank you A&R for all you do.
