The man that works there the most with the truck and trailer is amazing. My son adores him and he is always so sweet to him and very respectful of the ppl that come there. He goes out of his way to be helpful and engaging with the public. Everyone seems to just love him. He even has treats for the dogs. He even offers water or soda to my son!
Fantastic! I was able to clean out garage consisting of car parts, baby car seats, alot of cardboard and styrofoam. They accept it. If you are unsure just go and ask, they are really friendly and will help you if you ask. And if you're like me and consistingly ask, "Are you sure?" They'll entertain it. Overall had a good experience.
Lots of area to drive around to the different bins. Barge point was not taking cardboard, so we came here. We will just come here from now on, much more bins!
This is a very good size and well maintained recycling center. It can get a little busy at times, with everyone always crowding the cardboard container. Sometimes the containers seem like they are way too full and can't hold anymore, but they don't swap the sign to the empty one in time. I like how they also have an area for donations so that you can get rid of everything in one stop. I have seen them have on occasion a used tire bin too, so if you have any beat up tires you can take them here too. I believe that they also take used oil here too.
Convenient and quick. Plastics separate from metal and glass and cardboard. They take used motor oil but not cooking oil. No paper recycling. Need to flatten cardboard.
You can recycle most things here. Plastic 1 & 2 bottles, cardboard, paper, cans, glass bottles, and some scrap metals. I wish I could recycle all my plastic though. They just put any other plastic in the regular trash.
I'm disabled and there was one out of my 5 bags I couldn't lift. I waited until the worker got off his phone and said sir I may need help with this one. He shot me a look and said I don't lift bags. They always help me when I'm there. I set that one a side and got the rest first. So I could sit down after the heavy one. He got loud saying don't go leaving that bag for me!! I said sir I wasn't he got up and put it in the bin. He said im not supposed to be lifting either. He didn't have to treat me the way he did. Thank you
I've heard they take other plastics but everytime we go there we are told it's only plastic bottles. The plastic bags and other plastic items are thrown in the regular trash.
The location of this convenience center is an excellent alternative to the Fort Campbell recycling center and another example of the many opportunities to recycle available to Clarksville residents. Recycling is a unique way to help the environment and reduce waste. They take pretty much everything except electronic waste (TVs, computers, small electronics), cooking oil, latex paint, anti-Freeze, and freon containing appliances. If you need to dispose of some of the latter, please take these items to the Landfill Convenience Center located at 3212 Dover Rd, Woodlawn. Also, keep in mind that freezer boxes, pizza boxes, Aluminum (siding, foil, pie pans), plate glass, light bulbs, ceramics, medicines, plastic bags, and all other plastics with no neck and not numbered 1 or 2 are not accepted at the recycling centers.
