Needed a transmission issue fixed so I came in. Felt welcomed and taken care of from the moment I walked in. They were very fair with pricing and told me straight up what I needed. They also got it done in a timely fashion

I brought my car in for an oil change and was given a “complimentary inspection,” only to be quoted nearly $6,000 in repairs, many labeled as urgent and necessary (pump replacement, multiple leaks, etc.). Something about the whole situation didn’t feel right, so I sought a second opinion from another well-established, reputable shop. That shop verified that none of the repairs were needed. They actually apologized to me and said I had been taken advantage of, and strongly advised that I not return to the first shop. This wasn’t a small difference in estimates, it was a complete contradiction. What stood out most is that this second shop had every opportunity to take advantage of me as well, but they didn’t. They were honest and transparent, which made Downing Street Garage’s behavior even more infuriating. Honesty goes a long way, especially in an industry where customers are often vulnerable. I’m furious at how blatantly I was misled. Do not let this place take advantage of you. Get a second opinion before agreeing to anything.

Downing Street is the best. I needed my mirror replaced and their quote was less than HALF of the dealers. They communicated well and scheduled promptly and were done ahead of schedule. Andrew did a great job providing a quote and scheduling. Could not recommend this shop more and will be using them instead of the dealer longing forward.

First time coming here. I hear people like this garage. I’m a 62 year old senior. I needed a new battery for my 11 year old car. Unfortunately my battery was not as accessible as they are in most cars and I don’t own tools. Plus car needed to be programmed that a new battery was in place. I called as soon as shop opened and someone told me they could take care of me right away and if they didn’t have correct battery, it wouldn’t take long to get it. I mistakenly forgot to ask for a quote. I had to call for a jump and once I got there they advised how much it would be. $600. They said the battery alone was $327. I said I had priced batteries at a few places and the highest was $180. They said they mark up the parts as “all shops do” and then plus labor. I was going on two days of missing work and didn’t have anyone to help me. These are prices I would expect to pay at a dealership or foreign car specialty shop. I went ahead and gave consent. They thought I was going to leave vehicle but I advised I would wait as I had been told that morning by someone that they could take care of me right away since it was just a battery. The front desk clerk went to talk to mechanic and they pulled a vehicle out of the bay to start working on my car. I would say it took about an hour or less. While paying, the mechanic who worked on my car walked past twice and both times I said thank you but he never acknowledged me. He had light brown hair and beard. He just quickly drove back in the bay the vehicle he was working on. Also for $600, the battery only has a two year warranty. Hopefully the life of the battery is longer than the warranty. This is a family owned business but I didn’t see any owners working. All hired help. I heard from one past customer, if you are in “a pinch”, this shop is okay but if not, call around, probably due to overinflated prices. But another customer said they liked this shop because they only repaired what you asked, didn’t bring up other issues and even repaired some things at no charge (unknown how that person got so favored). I would say it’s a nice shop. For the prices they charge, customer service could be better. They didn’t check my fluids or tire pressure. I was afraid to ask as the cost may go up. There was no cleaning windshields or vacuuming or anything extra. They have a keurig in waiting area and water container with a few pods. For the prices they charge, there should be fresh pastries, fruit, etc and a bigger selection of coffee, and soft drinks . I remember when shops used to charge for parts what they paid and labor was the highest portion. Now it appears parts are being marked up double plus labor at least at this shop. If you are well off, this is a nice shop that may be convenient for your proximity. But if you are looking for quality work at a fair and reasonable or great price on a budget , you may want to shop around.

Fabulous job! I am a new customer and the whole crew was straightforward, clear and quite polite. I am going back. They are so pleasant they might want to do a radio show like “Car Talk” CPR , look em up, Click and Clack. Go there ard see .. pleasant, honest and good customer service skills!

Came here for the first time recently and don't think I'll go anywhere else while I live in denver. Everyone was super friendly and had my car working better than ever for a really fair price. Can't recommend this place enough!

Had a nail in my tire and Downing Garage got me patched up in ten minutes. $38 out the door. Would recommend.

I've been bringing my older Sienna XLE here for years. Always been treated fairly and well. Even before they offered the free Lyft transport, they would generously have one of the guys drive me back home to wait for my car and pick me up when it was done. All repairs are thoroughly explained as well as timelines for expensive repairs that can be delayed. This is a great neighborhood garage that has only gotten better.

When I went in for one issue and was informed there was another, more expensive issue, they helped immensely! Despite me having no experience with cars, they walked me through the problem, explaining well so I understood what was going on. When the price was too steep they worked with me on making it feasible! These are awesome guys, I'll be coming here again next time I have car issues!

Brought my aging car in for an electrical problem, received a full diagnostic review of what was needed and what would be good to do for the car, along with pricing. The pricing was not unreasonable. While I opted to just deal with the immediate issue, I appreciate the thoroughness in their approach.

Downing Street Garage is my go-to. They’re local, they work hard for your business, they give my car a thorough going over each time I’m in for my 6 month oil change, never any pressure, just respectful and courteous service. My car hums like a youngster!

Excellent Servicwe , great prices. I called head about patching my tire because I wasnt sure if they could, and they asured me they could. Estimated an hour, was in and out in 20! I wish I had gotten my cashier/Techs name. Excellent service.I what other people for services and they are very reasonable. If I need more servies I will be back.

Honest and straight forward. They're comparable in prices to other auto repair places in the area, but are locally owned. Friendly service, clearly don't try to tack on unnecessary things to get more money out of us, all around fantastic. I plan on giving them my business for a long time.

After a stone had dinged a rear tail light, the crew at Downing Street said a new tail light assembly would be the right approach to the problem, fixable at a dealership. The estimated cost at the dealership was an unhappy surprise to me. However, a friend suggested the tail light assembly might be found online, which it was, a brand new tail light assembly. As luck would have it, the Downing Street crew was able to expertly remove the old and install the new. This approach saved us a significant chunk of change. Honestly a despicable business that has a target on anyone without vehicle knowledge. This crooked, backyard chop shop took my friends vehicle in to check out the AC system. Attached is their so called “service report” detailing the “work” performed. I looked into the system after my friend was told that the ac system was a total loss and EVERY COMPONENT in the system needed replaced..according to Downing Street Garage. Upon my legitimate troubleshooting of the system I found that the cable to the temperature control was not connected. The friend had recently had a new radio installed and the cable had failed to be connected when that work was done. I visited their shop twice to seek further information on this repair prior to my inspection. Upon both visits the manager was nowhere to be found and their service writers boldly lied to my face about having additional service repair notes and weren’t capable of sharing. The shop front desk clerk also stated that they must have just “forgotten” to include, all this while no additional information was ever provided. Shops like this deserve to be well know for what they are. Despicable, lowly hoards of individuals who wait around to take advantage of innocent customers with little to no vehicle knowledge. Find somewhere else or get read to be screwed over.

I had a great experience getting an oil change here. My appointment was at 9 AM, and they took my car in right on time. I was out in less than an hour. The whole process was smooth and efficient. Overall, a very positive experience—highly recommend!

I always have a great experience here. Sean and the team are friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. They fixed my tires very quickly and they have great communication. This is my go to shop whenever I have a car issue.

These guys are master class! My car had a multitude of problems, they highlighted the most problematic to least. For the less serious stuff, they gave me a realistic timeline of when I actually need to get the work done, with no pressure to rush into non emergent repairs. The prices were transparent, I knew exactly what I was paying before giving the green light. They’ve earned themselves a customer for life, I could not recommend these guys more!

Dropped my car off for an oil change (check their website for any coupons!) and was very happy with the service I received. It was convenient, timely, easy to schedule online, and they send a report of any recommended maintenance that includes photographs of the areas requiring attention. I didn’t feel pressured to pay for unexpected services, they answered all of my questions, and were honest.

Michael and the whole crew at Downing Street Garage were extremely professional and they gave me a great deal on a pre purchase inspection for a car i was looking to buy. Because of their inspection i avoided making a bad deal. Will definitely be back in the future!

I brought my 2016 Jeep Cherokee into Downing Street Garage and while my experience didn’t start off perfectly, it ended up being absolutely excellent. There was a minor mistake early on, but what really impressed me was how the team handled it—they took full responsibility, communicated clearly, and went above and beyond to make things right. DSG isn’t the cheapest repair shop, but their quality and, most of all, honesty is second to none. If there are multiple issues with your car, they will point them out and prioritize the necessary repairs to your needs.
